Dramzen Aside from Power metal, Folk is my favourite sub-genre. Some of my favourite folk metal bands are: Elvenking(power/folk, w00t), Ensiferum, Kaliban, Hollenthon, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Suidakra, Skyclad.... I'm going to stop now.... xp Some, if not all of the ones listed aren't fully folk, but meh. As for viking, I like Einherjer. You are officially the 1st person that I've ever met that likes Elvenking... bravo... xd

I've been listening a lot more Viking metal lately <.< I'm becoming addicted to it... but If I have to choose my favourite bands, they would be: Ensiferum- Both albums kick a**, and unlike most people, I prefer Iron to the self-titled <.<. They've got some pretty solid kickass fast powerish riffs and some slower highly melodic Folk passages, the combination turns out pretty damn amazing. Also, the vocals are pretty good, while the harsh voice is the one that's mainly used (and it fits the music perfectly, it gives more energy to the songs), they also use clean vocals at times =3.
Equilibrium- Simply amazing band, even though the demo is far superior to the album in my opinion. Mostly because of the vocals... the vocalist changed his style to a more generic and shitty one <.<, also the vocals get overpowered by the music and get completly lost at times... The ambientation is better in the album, yes, but the vocalist should have sticked to his old style in my opinion. Anyways, this is an awesome band I would recomend everyone to check out. They are kinda new, so it might be hard to find their stuff, but if you find any of their albums, you should give it a go, you won't be disapointed 3nodding
