"Alright then," Felix said, carefully noting Tabor's reaction. He then started absentmindedly walking up the rocky trail that led up to the mountain. Soon enough, a dense fog started spreading and the path became unclear. "I think we should wait till the sun comes out again," Felix decided since it was dangerous to not be able to see the path.

Tabor nodded, following Felix closely, feeling no need to keep three feet if he was in the presence of a rather lucky Namir. The fog began to roll in, covering the path they'd been following. Tabor was scared enough of the mountains, the fog not helping the situation any. Just remember, Karma....Karma..... he reminded himself. That was when Felix spoke up.
"That sounds like a good idea...." Tabor agreed, relieved that they wouldn't have to travel in the fog.

Felix stopped and sniffed the air; an eagle was nearby. Using his paws to feel in front of him, he found a small cleft in the rocks and went inside. "In here," he told Tabor. "It's dry and I don't smell anything suspicious."

Tabor followed quickly, wanting to get out of the open. He then sat down.
"Did you sniff this place out?" he asked. He'd never been one to rely on his nose. Chances are if he couldn't hear or see it, he didn't know it was there. But he had rather acute hearing.

"Yes, of course," Felix replied, a little puzzled. "What other way is there?" A sudden memory flashed in his mind. A blurred ball of fur sat on a rock with closed eyes. Counting to thirty. An orange blur hiding in a tree. The black furred opens eyes. The orange one steps on a branch, and the black one perks his ears before running up the tree, quick as a flash, and tags the orange one.
Felix blinked, and the vision was gone. Who was the black namir? He shook his head, clearing his mind.

"Well I've never had the greatest nose...It's fine and all, but I rely on my ears. They're small, but they work well," he twitched them once or twice. Tabor took another look around, the small dry cleft comforting. He looked back at Felix, noticing the Namir shake his head.
"Everything alright?" he asked.

Felix shook his head again. "Oh, it's nothing," he hastily replied. "Well, I'm glad that your ears are working well for you." He then stuck his head out of the cleft. The fog was gone, and the warm sun shined brightly though the clouds. "I think we should go now, the fog's gone," he told Tabor.

Tabor watched Felix for a moment, then shrugged. It wasn't completely obvious that Felix was hiding something, maybe a little, but for Tay to suspect something like that would be against his nature. He nodded at the news of the fog, "Well then lead the way."

Using more of his instincts than his eyesight, Felix wound his way up the mountain, occasionally taking a break to regain his breath. "We're nearly there," he panted, struggling to breathe in the high pressure. He looked over his shoulder at Tabor to see how he was doing.

Tabor, used to a lot of walking and more, was doing fairly well as they went up. But even he wasn't prepared for the pressure and lack of oxygen. He took slow deep breaths as they got higher.
When he heard they were close he nodded, half out of fatigue, half out of relief that they were almost there.

Felix nodded, trying to keep on walking. Out of nowhere, a gigantic nest of branches and brambles came into view and a few scattered feathers lay on the ground. "I think we're here," Felix whispered to Tabor.

Tabor nodded again, taking a look at the feathers. The wind picked up blowing a few up and past him. He stopped, a tickling feeling in his nose. Great. Just his luck to have to sneeze...Obviously they were trying to at least be slightly quiet. He sat down, putting his paws to his nose in an attempt to stifle the problem. It didn't work. He let out a rather loud sneeze.

Felix turned around, startled, at Tabor's sneeze. "Oh, it was just you," he murmured, still a little shaken. Suddenly, he felt a strong gust of wind from above and turned back in time to see a large male eagle land in the nest. He backed away when the eagle turned it's beady eyes at them.

Tabor looked at the eagle with wide, frightened eyes. The large bird was truly a sight, and truly frightening. He took a few steps back, his eyes never leaving the large bird.
"Felix....What do we do now?" he asked quietly.

"Erm..."
For once Felix was lost for words. He shuffled his paws before he lifted his head to speak. "Great eagle of the mountain, we have come to you with a question," he began, not knowing where the words came from. The eagle continued staring, but did not make any aggressive movements. "We have come to ask you about the whereabouts of a young kit that you may have carried away or seen many moons ago." He stopped to catch his breath.
