Emeraldvapor nodded feeling guilty for leaving him behind. As she turned to head the other direction a second badger jumped in front of her. She couldn't leave now. There was no way Horizonwing could distract two badgers. Besides... She had to fight with him.

Horizonwing grimaced as he saw a second badger. Fox dung! Quickly he dashed and dodged past the current badger in front of him and to Emeraldvapor. He tugged her by the scruff, indicating the tree. "Come on! Lets at least fight where we have a way of escaping if things get too tough!" He quickly dodged a giant paw as it was slammed down where his head would have just been. He looked towards sunset and Lunar... could they possibly alert the clan that something was at least wrong?

Emeraldvapor felt teeth in her scruff and turned around to snarl, but calmed at the sight of Horizonwing. She understood what he was implying and clawed at her badger's nose before running in the direction of a fairly large tree.
As if knowing what Horizonwing was thinking Lunar said, "We moths and, or, butterflies can't be too far away from our cat companions or bad thing will happen. At least, that's what happened with Emeraldvapor and I" That's what Lunar believed because the last time she and Emeraldvapor separated they both felt sick until they couldn't stand it anymore.

Horizonwing stayed close to the tree as he dodged and attacked one of the badgers, from time to time seeing how Emeraldvapor was doing. Sunset briefly told him what Lunar had said and he nodded to the moth, true or not he didn't want to take a risk.

Emeraldvapor clawed her way up the tree and came down on one the badger's heads. There was a deadly "Crunch" but the badger made no reaction and kept attacking while blood seeped out of its head wound.

Horizonwing saw what she did and did the same, except he landed on its neck and bit down on it. He held on tightly as the badger tried to shake him off but eventually he was thrown off. Landing on his feet he went on fighting, just avoiding some deadly blows. This isn't good, we can't go on like this forever without reinforcements! But he was pretty sure they were too far for a howl to be heard.

Emeraldvapor took a glance at Horizonwing and knew what he was thinking. She was thinking the same thing. They couldn't do this alone, and yet there was no one near enough to come help them. Emeraldvapor hissed in annoyance and jumped onto the badgers back, clawing out tufts of fur. These two badgers just seemed to get there energy replenished, on and on again. Like they were invincible.

Horizonwing bit on a paw as it was slammed down. He looked towards Emeraldvapor, they were most certainly going to ware out before the badgers did. Maybe instead of using the tree as a way to escape if we get to injured or tired, we could use the elevation as an advantage! Attack them from the safety of the tree with its branches and stall till a patrol hears us! Stupid idea, but its worth a shot, because I can't keep on going on like this forever... Climbing hight up the tree he broke of a long skinny branch and began to... annoy the badger with it, trying to poke its eyes out. Good think the tree had a smooth and thick trunk, so it could stand up to the badger and not be climbed by it.

Emeraldvapor leap off the badger and was about to go after Horizonwing when the badger slammed her tail to the ground. Emeraldvapor spun around and clawed at the badger's eyes. This was too much for it. With a deafening roar the badger ran off out of her sight. It was just one badger and two cats. They had an advantage.
Emeraldvapor jumped on the other badger's back, tore off some fur and hop onto the tree to where Horizonwing was. She clawed off a branch and also started poking at the badger's eyes.

Soon the badger was blinded, ramming its paws in the tree a few more times as is screeched to the point Horizonwing almost fell out, but eventually it ran off. Horizonwing clung to the branch, once the tree stopped shaking he got back to his feet. "Lovely fighter you are, Emeralvapor, we sure showed them whose boss!" He mentally sighed, but they were still in the forest and still a thread, and he was pretty sure one of them was female...

Emeraldvapor nodded and purred. "We make a great time." Her pelt bristled as she remember the fight there was this scent that she caught on the badger she blinded... What was that scent? Images of the nursery flooded into her mind and she instantly knew what scent she had smelt. Pregnancy. "Horizonwing..." She whispered. "That badger I fought, she was a female and... She was pregnant." She could and probably would prove as trouble for ThunderClan.

Horizonwing nodded, "I know... Lets go back to camp and inform the leaders, she wasn't very pregnant if she picked a fight with us and she's blind so we have plenty of time to track her and the other." Nodding once more he began to run back to came.
