Nicodemus let the strong beat of his wings carry him as they soared across the sky, heading in the mostly general direction of the HQ. It had been so long since he had returned there, he felt the place might be almost alien to him after so long away from his library and studies.
The blond kitsu also missed his sisters, but he felt guilty about returning home with nothing to show for such a long absence, after all, he had yet to be successful in his ultimate plans, and who knew what had happened in the interim.
At the same time, he'd felt isolated from his family, cut off from them- although it was his own doing, the feeling was hard to shake.
"Say, do you have any friends back at HQ?" Nicodemus called out over the wind.

"Friends? Not really. But i've got my 'family' so to speak. All the others that live in the same house. I've got three brothers, and..... let's see..... five sisters. Though two are them are little bitty buggers. Pixies, I think their breed is called.?

Nicodemus' eyes widened. And he'd thought two sisters was a big family.
"How do you get along with so many brothers and sisters, don't they drive you insane?" Asked the kitsu on a quest to retard his sister's ageing proccess so they'd turn back into children....

Saphirio had to think on that one for a bit. "Hmmm.... nope. Most of the times they're not all there at the same time. And playing with them when they're little is lots of fun. Also, its kinda hard for them to drive you crazy when you act just like them. Its fun being able to pretend i'm a little kit again."

Nicodemus' ears flickered again, the wind blowing his features. Below them, the landscape was already changing and shifting.
"I suppose it would be nice to be a kit again, myself." But then again, as a kit he hadn't felt as alone as he felt now as an adult. Nicodemus banked to the left to catch a nice thermal.

"It would be fun at times. But then I couldn't fly like this, couldn't spend time on my own." He let silence reign through the rest of the trip to HQ and just enjoyed the scenery. Finally, he saw a roof peeking through the tops of the trees. "Ah-hah! We're almost there."

Finally, he saw a roof peeking through the tops of the trees. "Ah-hah! We're almost there." Nicodemus dipped his wings going in for his landing. "I hope it's nothing serious." He murmured as he began to circle downward. Normally he didn't like parading around cities with his wings out, he was always being mistaken for an angelic. The blonde's tail swished through the air as he descended.

"I don't think it's gonna be too serious. After all, if it was broken, or something like that, it would hurt worse. And I heard someone say that really bad sprains can sometimes feel like they're broken." He followed Nico down towards the ground, coming to a rest on the ground outside of HQ.

Nico touched ground fairly ungraciously, using three paws instead of one, and skidding a little. He'd never been all that good at landings to start with.
The blonde kitsu muttered something that sounded like 'in Soviet Russia, trees climb you' under his breathe before he folded his wings down and hobbled toward the doors of the HQ emergency room.

Sapphy peered curiously at Nico at the words muttered under his breath. Trees climb you? Whaaa?? And in Soviet Russia? He shook his head. The pain must have been getting to his new friend, cause that made no sense whatsoever. He trotted into the building after Nico and looked around curiously. He had never actually been inside this part of HQ.

Nicodemus peered cautiously around the doctor's room of the HQ. It was not his first time in, and probably not his last, but it had been such a long time since he was last here that he almost expected the whole place to be different.
He hobbled up to the little reception desk and fluffed his wings nervously. "Uh, hi... I need to see a doctor, I hurt my foot." He mumbled.
The kitsu behind the desk smiled cheerfully and began to take down his details.

Sapphy sat down in a corner and waited while Nico gave the receptionist the info she requested. Hmmm.... It didn't seem like she needed it. More like she was just confirming that information was still the same. He must have been here before. He waited until his friend joined him before commenting though. "So, been here much?"

Nicodemus smiled sheepishly as he sat down, his ears flopping foolishly a bit.
"I've always been into things like books and... uh... books. Never was one for sports or running around, or flying or jumping, swimming, climbing.... but as a child I was a little sickly, and I'm prone to getting injured and sick." He brushed some straggling twigs off his sleeve absently, glancing at his companion. "You?"

"Me? I've always been an outdoors type I guess. The sun has always felt so good. Its nice being able to be out in the open more. I'm glad the group of gem kitsu I showed up with decided to check out this place. It was pretty boring having to be careful about who saw us. Not to mention annoying. But now I can sun myself as much as I like."

Nic tossed his head with a grin. "Mm, I know how weird that is."
He glanced around, wondering what was taking the doctor, surely they'd been sitting there long enough, more patients were coming through the door too, one kitsu was coughing and hacking into a plastic bag and the sight made Nic go a little green around the edges.
