"It's not that I would mind you guys coming over... It's just... There's not much to see." She laughed. "I live in a one room apartment that not even a college student would envy." She watched Mir pull out the cookies and sit them on a plate quietly, but waited for her to offer.

"Puppets?" Aesop asked, the idea quickly growing on him. He may have been an intelligent boy, but a boy nonetheless. "That sounds fun." And the idea, like the reading idea had done for him, seemed to light up Julien's face. Which made it even more tempting.

Mireille nodded, offering Cindy a smile. "We were all there once," she said, with a soft laugh. "Eventually, it does get better, I promise. It helps once you find your calling in life." And the plate of cookies was done, it seemed, for Mireille was turning to dig into the cabinet for four glasses, and pulling the milk out of the refrigerator.

Julien grinned as he saw how Aesop picked up on the puppets idea. "I'm sure Mireille would know how to make puppets for it. And you can find a really good story for it while you're at home, so that we know just what to make, right?" Julien seemed puppy-eager for this to work, almost bouncing a bit, and wishing now that Aesop had brought the book this time. Well... next time, definitely!

"Mm.. Finding my calling seems to be the problem. Since I rushed out of my parent's house, I've been too busy working and keeping up with the bills to even think about college..." Cindy gave a sigh and folded her arms in front of her. "If I go for something, it has to be the right thing." She gave a nod. "I'm sure that I'll figure something out, though. Aesop's helped me a lot already, believe it or not... And maybe this decision is something else I'll figure out with him around." If anything, college would be harder with a kid to take care of... But he was no ordinary kid. And hopefully that was what would help her through this.

Aesop nodded vigorously at the suggestion. It sounded great! He could find the story, tell Julien, and they'd make it into a play of some sorts. It was an inspiration! A thing that required teamwork! "Yes, we can do it!" His face looked serious as he nodded at the blue-eyed boy. He wanted to get home and start reading right away!

"It's all about figuring out what you love," Mireille said sagely, setting up a new tray with glasses of milk and the plate of cookies. "And if I can ever help, you'll give me a call, right?"

By then, Julien was beaming as he nodded. "I wish we could start on it right now," he said firmly, leaning back against the couch as he watched Aesop. "If this one goes well, we could even do more!"

"What I love..." Cindy repeated and sighed, eyes meeting the floor. What did she love anymore? It seemed like life just flew by without stopping to say hello. There wasn't much she did anymore other than work and sleep. After the second comment, however, all she could do was smile. "I know Mir..." She said quietly. "Thanks for that."

"I'll be sure to read plenty of stories, then." Aesop's eyes almost matched Julien's in the excitement factor. It did sound appealing. To share the stories and knowledge he had through something simple, yet quite amusing... And hopefully entertaining.

Mir smiled at Cindy, picking up the tray. "Come on," she suggested, nodding to the living room. "Let's take these out and have milk and cookies with the boys." She headed back to where the boys sat, putting the tray down beside the other with a smile.

Julien's mind was already going, thinking up all sorts of ways to make little puppets with which to tell the stories. "Maybe you can call me and tell me which animals we'll need, and I can work on some of them?"

((OOC: If you don't like the skip in time I take, tell me and I'll change it.))

Aesop knew Cindy had a phone, so calling Julien and telling him would be no problem. "Sure. I can do that."

After they'd eaten their cookies and sipped up the glasses of milk, Cindy realized all-too-quickly that there were many things to prepare for at home. So many things to do, so very little time. "Well Mir." She said as she arose from the chair she'd been taking up vacancy in. "I do believe it's time for us to go. I need to buy him clothes and try to work all this out."

Aesop watched Cindy stand and looked at Julien, then stood up himself. "It was nice meeting you both." Aesop said, not hesitating to follow Cindy home. He did want to get reading, after all.

((It's all good. smile ))

Julien and Mireille both rose as well, moving to walk Cindy and Aesop to the door. "It was good to meet you, too, Aesop," Mireille said, while Julien just grinned and nodded. Looking up at Cindy, she added, "Hopefully, we'll have another chance to get together again." Aesop certainly seemed to bring out the cheer in Julien, after all. She held out a hand to them both, and Julien blinked, then imitated her, doing his best to appear polite.

Cindy walked over and stopped at the door so goodbyes could be said. "Don't you worry, Mir. There'll be plenty of opportunities for us to see eachother." She knew this because... Well... What other friends did she have? She smiled and shook the womans hand. "I'll be in touch."

Aesop watched Cindy shake the hand that had been offered to her. Looking at Julien, he did the same. "How strange." he commented to Julien then shook Mir's hand while Cindy swapped to shake Julien's.

"Alright, See you later guys!" Cindy shouted as she opened the door and motioned for Aesop to follow. He turned around before walking out the door and gave one last wave to them both. Hopefully the ride home wouldn't be as horrible as the drive here.
