Forte slinked out of the water and shook, looking over at him. That had taken a lot of energy out of her. "Yeah." She smiled at him a little nuzzling in against. "Thank you for taking care of me."

Libety chuckled" just rest I will grab us something to eat so you can get your strneght back up." He quickly trotted off down the beach nickering to himself. He knew Forte was brave and she had just proved it, just another reason he felt so much for the spunky young mare.
He returned shortly with some rather weird looking green mess in his mouth. He dropped the squishy plant thing at her feet and grinned " dinner dear one!"

Forte head found some shade under a tree and she nestled her herself into the sand. She thought to herself about what had just happened. There was something in the way he talked to her, that got her to do that. She then looked up at him when he came back with a funny look. "What is that?"

LIberty's eyes were wide and innocent as he grinned at her " food. It's good try it." He nudged the wad of squishy greens at her.

Forte looked down at the stuff again and then back up at him. She leaned forward and grabbed a little with her teeth, and she chewed on it. It was not her favorite thing in the world, but it was tolerable.

LIberty's eyes widened as his smile got bigger, so she trusted him too. This was just looking better and better! He happily dug into the seaweed. From the look on her face she didn't love it but he sure did.

She ate what she was able to stomach, and then rested there. She let her blue eye watch him, her ears twitching to the sounds around them. She wasn't really to sure what else to say to him right now, but she was jsut happy being in his company.

"Rest sweetheart, I will wake you up when it's time to go." He nuzzled her cheek gently smiling. " I am probally going to go swimming again so you just rest ok?" He liped her cheek once more before turning back to the food.

She blinked at him and placed her head on the ground. "How is it, that you seem to know me so well?" She asked him, looking over in his direction. She was wondering about this, it was like he could read her mind.

Liberty just shurgged blushing then "I just..I do. It is like you are part of me that I have always known but...gah this must sound really stupid." He chuckled weakly

She looked up at him sleepily. just looking at him. She thought about what he had said. She wasn't really able to figure it out just then. "No, its not stupid at all."

Liberty nuzzled her cheek for a moment before pulling back with a gentle smile. " Go rest in the shade Forte. I am gonna go swim. I will wake you before it's time to go." He gently nudged her towards the shade of a huge tree up off the beach.
He turned and headed for the water needing to swim again. Maybe it would clear his mind some and help him control his muddle thoughts. Anytime he thought about her, he became tongue tied and stupid.

Forte nodded at him and she slunk into the shade. She liked being around him, and the way he just always knew what she was feeling or even almost thinking. She settled into the shade and she looked over at him, her eye lids felt heavy. She started to drift off, watching him in the water and before she knew it, she was dreaming.

Liberty didn't swim long, quickly abandoning the water for the comfort and shade of the tree and the small mare beneath it. For a long time he simply watched her sleep a tender smile on his muzzle.
As a foal he had scoffed at his Aunt's stories of finding one true love and teased his strict grumpy father about the wuss he became whenever his mother was around. He understood now and while it made his heart pound with delight deep in his soul it scared him just as much. What if she didn't love him in return?
Sighing softly, he trotted to lay by her side, his head over her back as he closed his eyes. All he could do was hope that maybe, she would love him as much as he loved her.

Forte slept peacefully, she dreamed of things only a horse would, though maybe on the stranger side. In her dreams she saw Liberty, for some reason. She wondered why she was suddenly she was dreaming of him, but she just keep on sleeping. It wasn't until much later then she started to stir a little, feeling his presence with her, and the weight of his head on her back. Not to say he was fat. She only moved a little, and then just laid there enjoying his company.
