After crossing the tide rocks Dancer, Fire Bright and Savith finally touched sand. She had said nothing more after thanking the Glider for his help. What was there to say after all? Besides she could hardly keep her stomach from heaving with every breath taken. She wanted to peel her flesh like the many serpents did. She was lucky in one way though. At least her mind knew little to nothing of what the body looked like after being in the water so long. It was dark and mucky in the water and when she came up she was to busy heaving to be much help to Savith as he wrapped the body. Still this experience would most likely haunt her for many a sleep. Dancer reached her mind out to the one the awful task was done for and him alone. **Are you near the waters edge my friend? I need to tell you something.**

**I'm here** he Sent with much sympathy to the turmoiled feelings. It was hard to deal with the many-days dead and he felt terrible to have sent a youngling to do it.

Dancer was a mess both physically and emotionally at the moment. Her body wouldn't stop retching and her nerves were nearly raw from what seemed like endless going going going. Crosscurrent could feel the need for sleep creeping up on her in her send. **I just wanted to tell you I am not alone. The glider helped me and is here. I couldn't have done it without him.** As they sent back and forth to one another Dancer and Savith kept walking to the edge of the water. After the body was placed on the ground safely the weary elfess made her way to getting in the water. The smell horrific and the feel of her flesh disgusting. She just wanted to be clean again. The water chilled her at first but soon Dancer was feeling a little better and started to enjoy her night swim. Fire Bright found a place on the beach to lay but kept a close eye on Savith and Dancer.

Any thoughts the Wavedancer had at the Glider helping or nearby was kept to himself.
Instead, he found the elftess swimming. He couldn't Send any warning (his feelings didn't need sharing). And since he didn't want to speak with the Glider, or really to be seen at all by him, he settled for comming up to her instead. A playful tug on her ankle, then a friendly smile and 'shh' motion. Even in the somewhat shallow waters she'd choosen he kept firmly below the surface. Wary of any overhead shadows of a bird fishing a partially 'stranded' Wavedancer...
Crosscurrent waited a moment for her to collect her bearings before beckoning her with a curled finger. And since he figured the Glider would be alarmed at her startled motions/sounds he wanted to leave that spot quickly.
So, a smile, then reaching to grab her wrists, and tugging her slightly to give her an idea on what was going on.
He'd strapped his weapon on his back earlier so that he had both hands free. That took the option of having her hold on as they did with dolphins away. Instead he settled for going slower .. to pull her gently with grips on her wrist as one did to those not up to fast travel.
No doubt Dancer would Send to the Glider and cat-friend ashore. That was fine. It wasn't like this was there gift after all.

Dancer knew Crosscurrent would be nearby but the tug still surprised her enough to make her jump as a few bubbles floated from a voiceless eekk. Seeing him she smiled and went to the surface. After a breath she nodded to his wish of silence and let him take her where he wished. She didn't feel fearful of him or anything he might do. Yes she did send to Savith but poor Fire Bright would just have to worry. It was nice being pulled slowly through the water. Relaxing to the point of making her eyes slip shut for a brief moment till salty water swelled up into her face. **Where are we going?** Her eyes drifting around to find that tail and look it over as closely as she could. Amazing to think he had legs and now this tail swishing about as any fish might.

He let her tow as far back as their reach allowed to let her glimpse the bright red tail. The trusting relaxation on Dancer's face as refreshing as a cool current. Besides, while she watched his tail he led her further down.
'Adir would be laughing his head off right about now,' he thought with a smile. 'I wonder how she thinks she's going to breath?' Still, a nice gift for the recent activities she'd done as a favor for him. He could always show her a jellyfish later.
As for her Sending, he rolled green eyes as if it was obvious -where- they were going: down and at an angle from shore.
At the first signs that she needed air (that slight discomfort before alarm) he tugged her close. **Just take a few deep breaths,** he Sent with an amused smirk. **Trust me here.**
Oh, yes. The most cumbersome way of traveling with an air-breather.. but Crosscurrent wasn't complaining. A tug, then hands on either side of her face to better seal his lips to hers. It would take a few heartbeats (his calmer ones, not her quicker ones) to properly produce air for both of them. No doubt her Sendings would return to their rapid pace of before afterwards, but as he missed that he looked forward to it!
Their slow descent went to a crawl as he carefully gave her more air.ooc: ain't he a rascal! and it's all logical tool.

Trust him she did but her mind wend blank as his lips pressed to hers. She felt for a moment like she was floating. Ah but she was floating in the deep water. It took a bit but she relaxed. Blue pools stared into his green ones. They looked like the jungle leaves of her once home. Her breathing slowed and became normal to a point she could hold it again. Then and only then did she feel the heat rush into her face again and look away. He had managed to do something nearly impossible. He made her speechless in both mind and her mouth. How long it would last? Most likely not very.

After she seemed to have her air he released her to grab her wrists again. Her blush almost matched his tail! Crosscurrent took the oppertunity to dive at a better speed to reach his goal. The kiss wasn't exactly it.
Instead he brought her to a coral he'd found. With the daystar gone, and at this depth almost useless, the bright colors of the school of fish was wonderful. Not that Dancer would see much detail, but she did seem fascinated by colorful tails.

Her eyes widened at the fish of various color... Looking up to see how deep she was shocked her as well. **It's beautiful Crosscurrent. Thank you.** She was happy to see what she could and be holding his hand while doing it. Dancer pointed to this and that With the zeal of an excited child. She wanted to see more. To see it all. To stay and explore every new thing there was to be seen.

Another tug to give her more air (why strain when one didn't have to.. besides her red face was beautiful), then he let go so that only one hand held her wrist. It let her drift a bit to better see things.
The other hand gestured her to explore the view. A pull to propell her forward so she wouldn't notice his gaze sweep for danger briefly.

Now that she knew what was going on the next exchange of air was easier. Still her face flushed. Getting over that would take a bit of time. She kicked her legs and swam closer to the reef to look at things. Long snake like things swam about to get away and many little things scurried across the ocean floor as she got closer. Picking up a shell she smiled brightly as something pulled its self back into it. The joyful laughter filled his mind. Now her brain started to wake up a bit. **What is this? What is that? OOOOOHHHH That's beautiful.** Her rapid fire was much to quick to keep up with the things she pointed at. Then she looked back at him with an evil sort of grin. **How fast can you swim with me?** Looking him over for a few brief moments she saw every muscle and cut of his form. She knew it was going to be fast and fun.

A shrug, then again giving her more air. Crosscurrent knew excitment sped up the use of air, and she was so beautiful when she was flustered!
Then he lazily slow-swum in a small spiral away from her. Keeping her supplied with breath, towing her, and the earlier activities of the day had him start conserving strength. Besides, she was still enchanted with the things here.
To her Sendings he only smiled, shrugged.. all sorts of non-verbal 'talking' that didn't feel as rudely cut-off when her attention was diverted away as rapid as a Quick-silver Fish. And, on another level, it was nice to have an admiring gaze on him.
No matter where Dancer swum to he kept near enough to give her air, then drift a short distance again to let her gaze around.

Dancer quirked a brow and then frowned a bit. **You aren't even going to try?** The slender shoulders shrugged a bit as she turned away. **Guess it wasn't as fast as I thought.** She went back to looking at this and that in the ever increasingly dark waters. An irritated silence was all she gave him now. The colorful fish and new environment was entertaining enough after all. She just thought it might be nice to see what it feels like to be like him when he "dances" in the water as he called it.

Sometime later, after giving her air (was that a scowl on her face now? Strange..), he checked her hands. For while Wavedancers had adapted to life in the water most land-walkers didn't. Watching for signs of wrinkling he thought it time to head back to the beach.
Besides she seemed to be getting cranky. Crosscurrent knew young children often go so without naps, but had thought Dancer older then that. Oh well. She had had a rough day.
**Enough I think** he Sent. There was a slight sense of tired in the mental words as he gently swum close to her again. His friend's irritation (the cause he didn't ask about) would doubtlessly make his closeness an intrustion. Thankfully he was taller and able to scoop her in his arms. Which he did as matter-of-fact as he could to not hurt her young pride.
**It has been a long awakening already for us.** And he still had to take Eltiln's body from the Glider on the beach to let it rest in the depths. He'd looked all over today for his own rest place, food supply, and Dancer's present, but there was still much to do.
A pity she couldn't dream in his arms.

She didn't seem at all irritated by his closeness, she enjoyed it in fact. It was part of the reason she asked him to swim with her so fast. Still if he couldn't see that she wasn't about to blurt it out. Nodding to his send of enough Dancer let herself be "carried" back to the surface. Yes it had been some kind of day and if she wouldn't drown she may just have fallen asleep in his arms. Still she was content to rest her head against him and let slender fingers play in the length of hair that flowed behind him. Hearing the rhythmic sound of his heart was very calming. When her eyes could make out dots of light from even under the water she sent quietly to Crosscurrent. **Thank you again for letting me see your homeland my friend.** Her send was soft, grateful and had undertones of disappointment. Not at the time with him but the way it ended. **Maybe you will let me show you my world sometime soon as well.?**
