"I like swimming." Delilah looked up at her mother with big eyes.
Unfortunately, Kova shook her head. "I'm sorry, Delly," she answered with a sigh. "You'd probably have to be signed up for it and we have to get going, anyway. We have to pick up groceries." She smiled at Naomi and Kaimi warmly, though. "But we'll get together again soon. We have to. Can't have our girls pouting over missing each other, right?"
Delilah smiled brightly and reached out to squeeze Kaimi's hand. "Have fun swimming," she said softly. "We'll play later."

Naomi smiled back, just as warmly. Making friends, she was learning from her daughter, was actually a very pleasant thing to do. "Absolutely." She replied, "I'm sure that we'll be calling if we dont hear from you in the next day or two. Have fun grocery shopping."
Kaimi had been about to pout, but Delilah wasn't, so she smiled brightly back instead at the promise of playing later. She squeezed the other girl's hand in return and then slung her arms around Delilah's neck, giving her a big hug. "Have fun shopping!" She echoed Naomi's words. "I'll see you soon! We'll play real soon! It was really really good meeting you!" She nearly tripped over her words and almost blushed again. Delilah was so pretty! Kaimi was so lucky to have made a friend like that!
Naomi lifted the toddler into her arms and headed for the door, snatching Fredward from their abandoned table. Over her shoulder, Kaimi waved enthusiastic goodbyes at Delilah and Kova.

Smiling yet, Delilah waved until the girl and her mother were gone. Then she looked expectantly at Kova. The ex-space pirate merely giggled and stood. She then held out her hand. "Let's go, Delly-doo," she announced. "We'll get our shopping done and then you can look through our fun book to find something for you and Kaimi to do soon."
"Okay, Mama." Slipping from her chair, Delilah took her mother's hand. She was intrigued by the other little girl and looked forward to their next meeting.
(End here!)
