Hey! idea Maybe we should whip up the "Ten Commandments of Queenism"! XD
Let's see...
Thou shalt greet thine ears with at least one Queen song each day.
Thou shalt love other Queenists as brethren.
Thou shalt accept those who do not know the great Queen as one of your own, to be born again in the divine, perfect Queen light.
Thou shalt not forsake The Great Deaky; for his lovable shyness is an invaluable component of the QUEEN.
Thou shalt not devote excessive time to discussion of The Great Freddie's Mercury's "personal life"; for that is detestable and disgraces the name of the QUEEN.
Thou shalt hold in the highest regard The Great Brian's sometimes absurdly large hair.
Thou shalt...hmm...I can't think up a Roger-related commandment for some reason. Can one of the Taylorettes here come up with something?

Well, you need four more so here's my shot:
Thou shalt not try to reach The Great Roger's falsetto for it is near impossible and would sound ridiculous.
Thou shalt not strangle those who steal from you. (Although pulling them by their hair and retrieving you property is accepted. xd )

Your Roger commandment is funny. XD Indeed, his falsetto is quite unsurpassable...
I'm guessing your second one is a reference to the manner in which Freddie dealt with a woman who was attempting to steal jewelry from him? If so, I think it would be good to add a reference to the factoid it was spawned from...perhaps something like,
Thou shalt not strangle those who steal from you. (Although, one may follow the lead of The Great Freddie and pulleth the said thief out of thy house, then retrieve your property.)
As for other ideas...at the moment, nothing leaps readily to mind on my part. Anyone else wish to take a stab at it?

I like it. Perhaps that would be the concluding, "sums it all up" commandment once we've got the whole list.
Hmm...if I'm not mistaken we only need one more.
Ooh! How about a commandment that references a bunch of song titles/lyrics all in one sentence?
Unfortunately, I can't think of any at the moment...ah, well. I'll sleep on it, and perhaps a grand flash of genius will hit me in the morning. Or maybe another devout Queenist will do the honors?

Ooooh! That was my next idea! But I'm in the same boat as you, no idea what else to put... I'm hopeing someone else will post, then at least we know that the Guild is more alive... I think I have one actually!
Thou shalt live to your own song, and change it many times.
Of course anyone else can revise these until we have them set in stone... (ah, puns, always bad)

Impressions of our beloved Queenies aside, our list as we know it is, I believe, now something like this...
The Ten Commandments of Queen
1. Thou shalt greet thine ears with the sacred music of Queen early and often.
2. Thou shalt love other Queenists as one loves their own brother; for they are your brothers and sisters in Queen.

Yeah! Kudos to QueenZep for bringing up Queenism and setting it all into motion...
So, what should we do with this list once all is said and done? I was thinking that it would make an awesome addition to the Guild Home/Description...we could PM one of the mods and ask what they think of it?
Ooh! And what if we used Queenism as an interesting way to promote this guild? I mean, can't you just see a Queenism-influenced homepage? The possibilities are endless!

No clue....hmm, maybe you could just use a synonym? Like "spacing out", or "being off in your own world", for instance?
I'm starting a thread regarding the Ten Commandments of Queen--let's continue our discussion there. This thread is already insanely off-topic--it's best not to do any more damage to it. xd

Well...not exactly. The lyrics thread was right above it, so I can see how that thought would occur, but this is in fact the "Q+PR is only touring in Europe, the airfare prices are insane, the economy in America is pathetic and all the new bands are talentless and god-awful" thread. Even a bit pessimistic, I'd say. (Or is that another understatement?) sweatdrop
