Irvine shook his head but couldn't help his own chuckling. "Come on. Let's see what's on the other side of this hill."
"Not neccessarly. Remember dad said the land itself was good...it's what provided us our rest and healing....something's contaminated this soil to turn to hatred...."

"Alright!" Sorin leaped after his brother. "You know - for a place called Nightmare Valley - this place isn't really all that scary."
"Which makes it all the more dangerous to us," Korai finished following his brother's progress from the base of the him not wanting to lose them.

Dracul, following Sangula's orders, silently observed the new comers as they scrambled over the earth. The first thing that he noticed was that they were much bigger than he was, yet still not the stature of the vampiress. He also noted that they looked different. They lacked wings of any sort and from what he could tell boasted no claws on their feet. How did they make it so easily over the mountain? he wondered.

Irvine watched his brother. "Just because we haven't come across any trouble doesn't mean it isn't lurking out there somewhere, Sorin."
Arron nodded and felt all the more uneased. Just the sense of being watched unnerved him.

"Don't worry," Korai siad quietly. "We won't be caught unawares."

"We won't but who's to say they won't, Korai?" Arron peeped watching his brothers even more.
Irvine smirked. "Hey just because I'm reminding us both to still be vigilant doesn't mean I can't still be cool."

"That is why we are watching them," Korai said ever the keeper of all his brothers. He was the eldest and lone son born with the bending abilities of his mother's line. His training had been a uniquely intense program designed not only to hone his waterbending abilities but also to sharpen the carpathian's natural abilities that always came so much easier to his brothers. Yet it was this intense training which had established such a strong a sense of discipline and responsibility within him.
"No way, man," Sorin shook his head. "You start acting like our a**l-retentive big brother and I lose all respect for you."

Part 2: Meeting Mirage! 8D Irvine grinned at his brother and nudged him a little before darting over the hill, out of sight of the eldest before he tripped and took a roll down the hill.
"AhhhH!!!!!"
During this tumble down the hill, he landed on another teenager who squealed and ended up rolling down the hill with him.Arron's eyes grew. "Irvine!" Already he was bolting for the hill.

"Irv!" Sorin yelped chasing after his brother, consequently slipping on some rocks loosened by Irvine's fall resulting in the second pony tumbling head over hooves down the hill to land in the pile of jumbled legs and limbs at the bottom. "Ow..."
Korai internally groaned as he chased after Arron, not reassured when he heard the second crash. If those idiots have managed to hurt themselves so help me... he swore to himself as he raced around the hill, only slowing once the others were in sight. "Anyone dead?"

Irvine raised his hoof. "I am!!!!"
Arron groaned as he slide to the bottom with ease. "Glad to know you maintained your strange sense of humor Irvine."
Irvine stuck his tongue out before glancing at the girl he accidently tumbled into. "Are you hurt miss?" He asked quietly.
Mirage groaned as she shook her head and winced as her head pounded from spinning too much. "I'm fine..."

"Don't worry about me, I'm ok," Sorin grinned lopsidely. "I landed on something soft," he patted Irvine affectionately. "By the way, how is your head?"
Korai groaned aloud this time, "I told you guys to be careful!"

Mirage's eyes flitted to Korai. "Apparently they don't listen very well."
Irvine blinked and peered at her. Something wasn't right about this girl but what. "Oh Korai relax. We're fine. Check us for broken bones if you'd like and I'll use you for a some landing next time Sorin." He poked his tongue at his twin.

Mirage stood up and dusted herself off, her cloak in disarray as she sighed. Another little hole in the cloak and it was her favorite too.
Irvine grinned at his twin. "So possible, bro."

Sorin laughed, "Only in your world of twisted logic!" His attention was then caught by the girl they'd fallen on. She was about their age and cute to boot. To top it all off it looked like she was your typical D.I.D. - Damsel in Distress. "Hey um...Miss?" he walked over to her and grinned. "Listen, my brother and I are real sorry for how we dropped in on you and all."

She frowned at the hole before she blinked up and almost blushed. "It's alright. I have should have chosen my hiding place better..."
Arron tilted his head. "What's your name?" Even he was curious to this girl. She had fangs like his brothers and himself...yet she felt entirely different. Korai....do you sense that? She's different from us...
