He looked over at the other stallion and nodded. Van did do quite enough talking for the both of them. Which suited him just fine. She didn't seem bothered by the fact that he didn't talk a lot. It was almost cute how she seemed intent on talking up empty air with conversation even if he only nodded and said the occasional word.
"Not my fault the sand and salt gets in my wings." She laughed. "Have to wander away to non salty water to get a bath you know."
"They are your family. i think you should tell them. "She smiled and leaned her head against his neck.

"You say that like it doesn't get in my wings, which it does... Which is how I met Kalo, actually... Wandering away from home and all." He nodded slowly, finding himself more and more relieved that she was here with him now. "... Well... The news is that..." He swallowed, directing his gaze to his mother. "You're going to be a grandmother... Again."

She looked at her son a moment before she looked at the mare with him. Looking back her Acheron her eyes lit up. "Grandbabies! You know this means that you're going to have to come visit more often, and so will they." She couldn't believe it. Grandbabies that she might actually get to see! She saw Mordecai often enough but she still had two other's that she'd never even spoke to.
Moving over she nuzzled Kalo. "I know you'll probably want to stay close to your own mother but i do hope you'll bring them by as soon as they're old enough."
She was slightly surprised by Uhane's reaction and the nuzzle but she smiled happily anyway. That was such a better reaction than she'd feared. "I will, i promise."
"So i get neices or nephews to dote on huh?" She grinned. "Congradulations." She nudged her brother with a wing. "Make me feel old by kaving kids before me, why dont'cha."
Oh! Foals! He smiled. "You two are ... lucky." He loved foals. They were tiny and cute and they were fun to play with.

"Well, someone has to give you trouble, you know..." He laughed, extending his own wing to swat his sister away. "You only get to dote on them if you stick around somewhere that we can find you... Or if you're here when we bring them to visit." He nodded slowly, looking back to his mother. "I wouldn't dream of not bringing them to you... I still come back, don't I?"

"Tsk, i come back occasionally. Have to say hi to mom or she'd worry." She shook her head.
"You and your two other siblings do, thankfully." She laughed and nuzzled her son. "Best keep it up too. Wouldn't want me to have to come hunt you down. Your dad would be disappointed in you."
"Oh.." The other stallion had spoken finally. "thank you, i think so too." She couldn't want to be a mother.
He smiled at the striped mare and nodded.

"Wouldn't want that." He chuckled as he returned his mother's nuzzle. "Four out of six isn't bad... Means there's just more room in the nest for when we bring our own home to visit. Cave would get crowded if we were all here all of the time."

"Nonesense. Plenty of room for all of you and all your little ones." She laughed and tossed her mane out of her face. "Speaking of little ones, if any of you see Mordecai tell him he needs to come see me. He never told me how his little adventure went with that darling little girl he brought home."
"Cai's got a sweetheart too? Well, seems i did miss a lot." She clicked her tongue. "Have to come back more often before i get lost in a sea of nieces and nephews and such."
Cai was the one with the two sets of wings right? Yes that had to be him. The shy one that she'd met. "No worries. I'll make sure the little ones get their fill of the forest and the sea. They should learn to love both since they're from both."
Idly he wondered if he'd ever get to settle down and have a family like this. It seemed like something his mother would have wanted. He really should go check in on her eventually .... but his siblings. They'd just poke and prod at him.

"Nyx." He nodded once more. "Her name is Nyx... And a loud mouth like you would just scare her away, I bet." His smile turned into a grin as he looked to his sister. "You'd have to be on your best behavior if he brought her around again..."
Of course, now that his mother had mentioned her he found himself wondering as well. She seemed to think just as much as he did if not more so. "I hope she hasn't gotten lost."

"Ah yes, i didn't get to talk to her all that long. He should bring her back by. Said he would" Maybe since Van had finally come home for a bit Cai would drop in too.
"Hopefully she's stayed with Cai. It would be a bit hard for the two of them to get lost." Mordecai seemed to know where he was going most of the time. Plus if he'd learned how to fly with all that wing he could see the ocean from where ever he was, hopefully.
"I'm not that bad." She huffed at her brother. "Besides, i haven't scared off Sigao or your friend have i?"

"One can get lost in more than just body. She seemed to have a lot on her mind when we left them." He said with a touch of sympathy in his voice. "Whatever happened, I'm sure that they will cross paths again. It seems like the good things you come across in life have ways of doing that." Smiling he leaned down, nuzzling Kalosyni gently.

"That they do." She smiled softly and looked up toward the cliff edge that fell off into the ocean. Rokuta was out there somewhere. He'd been one of those things that had found it's way back into her life. And now look at it. Beautiful children, grand children, everything. It was a dream come true that she never even knew she had.
She returned the nuzzle and rested her head against his. She was glad that Acheron liked her company and that she could be a part of his family.
