Scowling, he snorted at her, deciding not to respond. He did let her lean against him however and he led her slowly down to the spring.

"You know smiling makes you prettier." she responded to his scowl as she made it to the spring. It smelled sweet, surrounded by small flowers and the night sky was perfect. Good weather, not a cloud in the sky anymore.

"How would you know?" he huffed. "You've never seen me smile."

"I just know." she replied. Her voice told no lies. She looked to him before easing herself into the water. Her face twisted, as the water entered her wound.

He made a face at her, but said nothing, watching her from the bank.

"So what was your life like growing up?" she asked curiously. Trying to get a conversation started with this boy wasn't easy so she tried to make it an easy start up. That and she was rather curious.

If possible, he grew even more quiet. After a few moments he turned away. "I don't remember. You should be cleaning your wounds, not asking questions."

She sighed, turned down again. She nosed at her wounds for awhile cleaning them out as best as she could, before making her way back to the banks. The water was easy on her knees, gravity not so much. "So you aren't going to tell me anything about you?"

"I can't tell you what I don't recall," he said testily. "Are you ready to go back?"

"I just meant in general." she retorted. "Don't need to get hasty 'bout it. Was just asking." her eyes narrowed slightly before relaxing. "Yeah, I suppose."

He huffed at her, but said nothing more. He honestly couldn't remember, whether from suppressing it, or honest to goodness just forgetting. Sitting there, he waited for her to make her way up to him so they could return.

Kila made her way up to him and simply looked at him. She was mad at him in the slightest of ways. She was trying to be nice to him, but he never talked and she loved to talk and converse. But he was just, meh. Though he was helping her out. She didn't even understand why.

Once she had reached him, he started back towards the tree. "What.. was your life like growing up?" he asked quietly after some time in silence.

"Easy going for the most part...had two sisters. Then their was mum and dad." she shrugged. "It was just us, we were happy. Dad was a wind and mom was a unicorn so thats how I'm mixed up." she smiled. "Perfect before the rains came and wiped them out." she looked to him. "Then I was on my own, until I met Benoni...and when he left I had nothing again." she shrugged. "I'm used to being a loner, doesn't mean I enjoy it." she added.

He nodded, listening closely as she spoke. "I'm sorry to hear about your troubles," he murmured, brow furrowed.
