Myojin Omni Him...no bars?! What kind of guy did you find Isa?! Not a keeper. Bars, clubs, and pubs are a must! xd
I find little to no entertainment value in such endeavors.
I think Emma and her man are cute together 3nodding
Fantasy: First off, haven't seen you in for-freaking-ever! ~pounceupon~ Second, my Godmother is married to a man 10 years younger than her, they're great together and have been together for a really long time now (at least 7 years, can't quite remember when they married, but it's been at least that long probably longer. ^.^) My fiance and I are only 6 months apart, he's the older one, but honestly I've learned age is only a guideline when it comes to maturity and if two people are good together that's all there is to it. wink

I find entertainment only in clubs. Bars, meh.
But where I live all we have is bars and anything is better than staying at home. We have hte movies but when you seen them all, you've seen them all. Malls...cesspool of idiots (kinda like Myspace and High School). If you're lucky you may live near a skating rink or bowling alley but that too is something to do occasionally (and the skating rink near me is gone so I got an hour drive for one).
So when most forms of entertainment are obsolete and lame, but you wanna keep it legal, bars and clubs. Bars are actually really nice in my area. Nice folks, nice talk, nice everything. Clubs are too. So it's nice for the social aspect and for branching out and all and just a random good time. 3nodding
I personally don't drink or smoke, though I will take one drink if necessary for the social aspect of it all. I just like to be around people and, if I must, new people. It's all good.

Yep that's what my Fridays consist of.... mrgreen

I personally find 4-6 good friends, staying at home and watching movies or paying video games and chatting - is a LOT better than going out and clubbing, or having a party with TONS of people, half of which you probably barely know their names. *shrugs* Seriously - Red Dwarf nights for the win! biggrin Me, Arlyana, CerealBoxBunny, and Kninja, along with red dwarf DVD's are all I need blaugh heart 3nodding

I can't remember the last time I was at a group thing. Sometime before Thanksgiving Dale and I went to shoot pool with his brother and the brother's girlfriend but that was it. I'm content with quiet little evenings at home. He and I either cook dinner or go out to eat and then come home and just...hang out. Ever since my friends moved off I never really took the time to make new ones. Kinda hard to work on new friends when your schedules contrast so much. *shrugs* I'm cool with it though.

Last time I was in a large group for a social activity?
Hmm, that'd probably be when the doctor said it was group therapy time. I tricked one of the others into undoing my straitjacket, it was lots of fun. But now, now I get a room all to myself. A window would be nice, though...
Kidding, of course. Last thing I did in public was went to see my cousin's class put on a Willy Wonka play at the theatre. For grades 5-8, they did a pretty good job. Kind of crowded seating though, didn't care for that part.

I like smaller more private things myself. A pub is alright, go out for dinner maybe, have some drinks and sit around and chat. Bars and Clubs on the other hand aren't as fun, I don't dance and it's usually too loud for me to be able to have a conversation with anyone around. I will go out wherever for live music though, that's a treat and I've really enjoyed it the few times I've had the opportunity. Actually, I probably have the most fun on night time treks. Either drink at home first or just load up a backpack with some booze and head out to walk around town. Stargaze, sit around in the middle of a street or field and chat, bark at the moon, climb stuff, whatever, and just generally have a good time of it. Around where I live, pretty far out of town, is alright for it. Here, there's the advantage of a small and dispersed population and no cops around, so you can sing or shout as loud as you like, or take off into the bushes to go tree climbing. And there's only a few streetlights around, so on a clear night you can see the stars that much better. On the other hand, in town has a lot more places to go, it's easier to get people together in town rather than have everyone crash at my place, you can stop by convenience stores for snacks and stuff, and it's cheap enough so you can justify calling a cab if it gets too cold and you can't be assed to walk all the way back to where you started. 3nodding

I like a bit of everything. Personally though, I've never been to a huge party, but it'd be fun to try out. I like going to bars/clubs for dancing, and also just hanging out at home watching movies. It pretty much depends on the mood of the gathering and the people I'm with.
Lately, I wanna rock out and find a lively scene, but it's kind of hard here with only two night club-esque zones. Terrace has a bit more since there are more organized gatherings (dances, raves, fashion shows/parties) that are aimed towards younger groups. I'm a bit nervous about trying dances out in Kitimat mostly because...will it be more older like my parents' age? I'd feel kind of out of place then. Pluuuus, not about to pay more than 10$ to do anything. Srsly though, "lively" varies. xd

I concur with WobinA, Naito, and Kninja. Small groups of friends, video games on my 56" T.V. and a bit of booze depending added on. My idea of a good time. Strangers usually just annoy me so public gatherings are out. I either get hit on or severely annoyed or both, and never have fun at gatherings of random people because of it. xd
I also detest most of the popular music that's out now-a-days, hip hop and rap and stuff, or that "umbrella" song and stuff like it, where no actually voice talent or sense of flow to the song is required and the chick can imitate a dying cow, and talk about how slutty she is, and still get paid for her albums. Then to top it off it's played so loud you can't even hear the person standing next to you unless you yell a little right next to their ear. Crap-tastic. xp

Exactly, Bacardia. Shitty music and overpriced drinks, oh joy. Having to shout into people's ears is a really big problem for me. I have a quiet voice and a lot of trouble speaking up normally. Not to mention the problems with other people trying to talk to you but being too quiet. Some random guy says something and between the noise and his slurring I can't make out a word of it, so after the 4th time asking him to repeat himself he starts getting angry and suddenly I'm trying to avoid a fight. Or some girl says something to me and I don't know whether to laugh or nod or move out of her way.

Dale and I went to a Pool Hall this past Sunday and I actually had a pretty good time. We went by ourselves and didn't mingle with anyone but we shot pool.
I suck at it but I still had a ton of fun (even skinning my knuckle on the felt). It was funny because I had three shots in a row that were very wtf shots that sunk the ball but then my new few shots I missed the que ball.
Anyway, neither he nor I drink and we don't smoke or like obnoxious people so we don't do 'bars'. And we don't dance and don't like a ton of noise so clubs are out too. The pool hall worked out really well though. It wasn't too loud and you're out and about doing something without really having to interact with a bunch of strangers. Though, I guess it depends on which hall you go to because I've heard a couple around her can get a little rowdy. >.<
