Kaimi hadn't expected her friend to really try to fly, all the same her heart leapt with excitement as Bishop attempted it, and then plummeted with dismay as she fell to the ground. "Bishop!" Kaimi shouted, scrambling down to the ground where her friend lay. "Bishop, are you alright?" Her big eyes full of worry, Kaimi had no idea what to do. Her brow furrowed with concern, she glanced towards the grownups who, luckily, were already on their way.
Naomi sighed as well. Kids would be kids, she supposed... but still, it was a shame someone had gotten hurt. She joined Carol, heading towards the girls as well. "I hope it's not more than a scrape..." She murmurred, asessing the situation as they walked. It didn't seem life threatening, at least.

Eyes filled with tears Bishop looked over at Kaimi and sniffled. It wasn't fair she had wings why couldn't she fly? It was unfortunate as well that she had never tried this experiment before on a safer surface to land on. " 'mmokay" she mumbled getting up and bushing bits of gravel off her legs. There was dust coating them and few scratches in the skin but no blood. Not that it hurt any less but not bleeding was a good thing.
Still, the pain combined with exhaustion from earlier play had left the girl pretty tired and emotional which had lead to the tears and a general desire to go home and nap.
" She looks ok." Carol replied glad at that. She reached Bishop and Kaimi then carefully reached out to pick her daughter up. The toddle wasn't excessively easy to carry but she was still young and small enough for her not to be a huge burden.

Naomi also picked up her charge, who for once in her short life didn't squirm or struggle.
"Bishop!" Kaimi said, shifting in her mother's arms to look at the other girl. "Will you play with me again? When your war-wound is all better?" The girl's voice held a plaintive, wistful tone. She liked Bishop. She wanted to play pretend with her again.

Bishop nodded slowly " Sure." The owl girl thought Kaimi was fun to lay with, plus she'd given her a prize which now resided unharmed as of yet in her pocket.
Carol smiled at Naomi and gave the other woman her address before she turned and began to carry Bishop home. It had been an eventful trip to the park for her little one and Carol herself had found it pleasurable as well. Naomi seemed nice enough and was a good conversationalist. It would be nice to see her and Kaimi again some time.
