Yes, indeed, it was negative, and Axis couldn't help frowning at that. She herself couldn't feel anger nor hate, but she could understand sadness at least. Fear, as to how their parents would react. She had gone through the same thing as well. And Valdaglerion didn't seem to be as close to his siblings than she was to hers, especially Xerviree. Having her brother beside her when she realized she was a Squib helped her a lot.
Yellow eyes caught the kit's curious stare, and she raised up her head to translate to the seraphim. "But why are you so scared Talagand will hear you? It could be a good thing."
There was a frown on his face. "You don't understand. Everyone thinks I don't take stuff seriously. I mean, I crash into stuff all the time while I fly, and I've pulled a number of pranks already. He'd probably think I was making fun of music." And his father loved music. He didn't want to see a devastated expression on that face, ever.

Blinking transparently, the whole conversation seemed to slip past her. It was much bigger than her tiny mind could yet encompass, and she was unable to process the information. Taking things seriously? Scared? Making fun of music? What did these things mean? She couldn't possibly ask all of it, perhaps if she continued to listen she'd learn more. It wasn't like she could do much else.
To speak wasn't really an option. There was no voice. Of course, it wasn't as if she knew how to interject herself into this anyway. But it seemed that Valda was unhappy... just something about him made her feel a little down because he was down. But Axis wasn't like that at all, Axis felt something a little different. It was difficult to read people's faces, but even worse to try and understand. This was exhausting, and to prove it, she yawned a little and looked down embarrassed.
Something about it made her feel like it was... wrong. Almost. This music thing was becoming a source of great pain and interest for her. She wanted to read it and write it and learn it, so that although she could not sing it, she could create it. Could create things that were speckled all over her and the world around her. She could even make something for Valda, whom she was beginning to admire for his beautiful voice.

Axis herself had struggled with her empath powers when she was younger, and now, she still wasn't very sure of some feelings she felt. Her mother found it easier to interpret the emotions she got, and it took quite a while for her to learn this, making a few stabs in the dark along the way.
"You're being silly." The adult sighed, putting her paws on the table and nosed at the seraphim. "I can tell you're serious about this. And your father...he is your father ater all. He will understand." She peered down at the kit as Kaii'kokii yawned and smiled gently.
Valdaglerion shrugged instead, not answering his friend and instead, tilted his head towards the pink kit. "You sleepy?"

There was a moment where she wasn't sure what was wrong or right anymore. What made sense and what didn't. Music seemed right there at her fingertips, and yet at the same time it was deliciously just beyond her tiny furred grasp. How might this work when it was so difficult to even communicate?
Looking up with a slight flush to her lavender features and strange markings, she shook her head furiously, flicking her ears back and pressing them down hastily. Sleepy? Was that because she had yawned? Perhaps she was, but she'd never admit it. She didn't want to lose sight of her new friends quite yet.

"Changing the subject." Axis teased lightly, tugging on one of Valda's ears before he moved out of range in indignance, fluttering his wings in protest.
"Was not." He defended himself, pointing his nose up in the air. "Let's not talk about it anyways. Like...finding her parents." He pointed a paw at the little kit, frowning.
"Parents?" Axis echoed, furrowing her eyebrows in concern. "Some kitsu...don't have parents though. Like Aroha...she's a permakit."
