Randumb Emo Punk Zombicide Randumb Emo Punk Zombicide Randumb Emo Punk yeah. the rock band soundrack is a hundred times worse though. that and the game sucks GTFO with that. Rock Band is FAR superior than the overly mainstream Guitar Hero. I had more fun with Rock Band because of the better multiplayer and the better tracks. true, the multiplayer is a key reason its better than gh, but the guitar is too easy. (and that me saying this, im mediocre at gh) GH is blatantly over-rated mainstream trash anyways. Similar to Halo or Call of Duty 4 or Final Fantasy. yeah, never saw the big deal about halo or ff. call of duty was never really bug around here i think. idk, i dont even own video games. Final Fantasy is nothing special, and it isn't even very good. It just has a lot of fans for reasons no god can explain. Halo is often hailed as one of the best shooters ever when it is completely outclassed by some other shooters (mainly Doom, Quake, BioShock, System Shock, and Half-Life). And Call of Duty 4 is just for graphics whores, really. I can't explain the buzz about CoD 4 either because it's the same as every other Goddamn military shooter out there (gameplay and story wise). And I know that I am at serious risk of flaming by saying the things I stated above. neutral

Final Fantasy is popular, because aside from Theif, name me another Steam Punk based game thats readily available.
By the way, you can't really compare System Shock to those other games, that'd be like saying Oblivion, Deus Ex and Strangers wrath are pure shooting games. The original Half-Life wasn't all that great to be honest, it was however a spectacle and a challenge. Doom is fairly generic too, it just does what it does better then the other of the same genre. CoD 4 is it represents a huge shift in genre games, away from the obsession with WWII, and into a more modern environment.
The original Halo isn't all that bad, it represented the acceptance of vehicular combat in the mainstream (as opposed to the marginalised market the Tribes series sold too). Halo 2 and 3 was everyone jumping the band wagon, then again you could argue every popular game since the PSX was jumping the band wagon and made popular because of that fact. Lets face it apart from the indie games on the PC what was the last truly original game?

Wrong. Steampunk is a subculture focused around victorian type fashion, modern technology using steam. It's all about older things with modern twists, and modern things with a victorian twist.

Lets face it apart from the indie games on the PC what was the last truly original game? System Shock wasn't completely a shooter, but it is often considered one by the developers and the people who played it because of its combat system. And dude, I should murder you for saying that. Doom was original for the time it came out at because it was one of the first shooters to have the first-person formula. However, Doom was the game to popularize shooters. So you can't really call Doom generic because it started the whole shooter obsession. Saying Doom is generic is like saying Alice Cooper is generic. And how was Half-Life NOT good? It is hands-down one of the best games ever made. It completely knocks Halo out of the park. Give me one GOOD reason why you say Half-Life isn't good. I'd like a reason for this absolute blasphemy towards gaming. @ Hollow Point: BioShock is steam-punk to the core. However, it isn't on the PS2, but you can get it on the PC.

I dont care for Fire Person Shooters. Let me specify: I'll love you forever if you can find me a free-roam RPG steampunk Game, by free roam I mean like Kingdom Hearts and God of War where you can do whatever you like with the character.

Well, there's always no more heroes. Although, since It's on the wii, the chances of anyone who would actually PLAY a game like that buying a wii is slim....and it's not an rpg. Still really good though.

No Wolfenstein 3D popularised the FPS, Doom just refined the idea to near perfection, but lets face it. As for Half-Life, think about it, what about that game actually evolved anything in FPS games at the time? Sure it had a few interesting ideas and the plot was good, but game play wise, it brought nothing new to the table (until Half-Life 2 which was an awesome game), like I said, the game was a Spectacle to behold and a challenge to people grown complacent with blasting forward charging Strogg.
