Seeing a smile on his face he couldn't help but grin, but then she fell silent and seemed to look uneasy. Without thinking he walked up closer to her nuzzling her lightly,
"Are you alright my dear? Did I say something to offend you?"
Trying to make the beautiful smile come back he scuffed his hoof over the flowers,
"Or maybe the flowers have decided to wreck vengance on you for what you did to them."

Her voice came back immediately in a snorting chuckle. "Revenge, is this? If they truly wanted revenge they'd find some way to stop me into the ground and devour me. It seems like there must be some flower-loving sort around that might do it for them." Where she had been talking because she enjoyed talking before, Ostara knew that she was now talking for another reason.
Really, she chided herself mentally. A cute face and one nuzzle and you get all flustered? This wasn't like her... but she chalked it up to having been too long without seeing another usdia like herself. That sort of loneliness could do all sorts of things to someone.
"What time is it?" she suddenly exclaimed while snapping out of her reverie. "It's sunset, isn't it?" An orange almost matching her own coat color and started to glow through the blue and the sun was already almost behind the treetops. Time had flown indeed!

Leap finally looked about, it was hard to notice anything with such wonderful company.
"Oh...I guess it is late...I didn't even notice with how much fun I was having...I suppose we should both retire? Perhaps meet up later when its bright and easier to spot dangers?"
He asked kind of reluctantly, it wasn't every day he got to spend such a great time with others like him, let alone someone like her. She was not only beautiful but there was something else he couldn't quite figure out about her. It would only be a matter of time though wouldn't it?

"Yes," she agreed reluctantly. "This has certainly be fun, but I wouldn't want to inflict the horror of myself when I get sleepy upon you." She smiled jokingly. "I've been known to scare away kalonas when I'm tired and grumpy. It's a gift and a curse but one that I've learned to deal with."
She wasn't the best in the mornings either... but she didn't feel the need to burden her new friend with too much personal information. Don't want to scare him off yet when we're just getting to know each other.
She looked over her shoulder once more to eye the descending sun. If only the days were a little longer....
In a decisive instant, Ostara banished those thoughts from her mind. She had enjoyed a perfectly nice encounter and there was no reason to sully it with regrets. She'd find Leap again later and they could continue then. "If you live in the area I'm certain we'll be able to find each other again." She smiled warmly. "In fact, I intend to look for you intentionally, so that's even more the chance of meeting up. Until then, however... I suppose this is good bye." She smiled warmly at him and took a step away. No point in wistfulness at all. She'd find him.

Leap nodded and smiled, he knew that she was just being kind now. But perhaps fate would turn a kind eye and allow their meeting once again. Smiling he bowed slightly to her.
"Well my fair maiden I shall bid you good night and good bye. I look forward to seeing you once again."
With that he waited about hoping to keep her in his sights until she was gone before he even thought about going home. It would be a horrible thing to turn his back only to hear her yell for help. So hoping to err on the side of caution he watched.
