Chagi had drifted a few steps out of the birthing area to fill a coconut full of water for his mate. It hadn't been as bad as he'd thought and after preparing himself for the past several weeks he was completely ready. In his mind he'd planning it all out but regardless of how smoothly the process went he hadn't quite intended to leave the moment they had been brought into the world, but he had a duty and his love needed to keep hydrated. He'd even thought ahead enough to catch her a small sea creature to tend to her hunger, though he wasn't to sure what new born's ate, was it meat? Or would Ilmare supply? Either way he'd be prepared!
"Mew..." The tiny cub flailed uselessly around, huddled close with her sibling. Her sight had not yet been bestowed upon on her but her senses where starting to function, the little stomach growled pathetically as the two seemed to squirm towards there mother. Sniffing she found a source of food and it seemed to be held within the figure she'd just came from, that was the goal then. Trying to keep her sibling close she flopped her way to Ilmares belly and took the first sip of a new life's meal.
Rushing back Chagi couldn't help but let his pride flood his body, there lay his love, his Ilmare and the two newest members of their family. It was a picture perfect moment, they owned the combined colours and markings of both the parents and resembled nothing less than Angels in his eyes. Moving closer he placed the water beside Ilmare and dropped the lifeless sea creature beside it, moving out the edge of the camp he took in a deep breath and let forth an almighty roar. He wanted everyone to know his family had been extended, that he was now a father and dared anyone to challenge his happiness with bad deeds.

Ilmare looked up at her mate and smiled. There he was, their father in all his masculine glory. Well, he wasn't masculine all the time, but Ilmare didn't care. She loved him, he loved her, and they both loved the cubs. It wouldn't be long before the two were up and about, and then they could take them and show them off to Anhur and Kaimana, their adopted uncles.
"Hello my love." She said as he aproached and set the coconut down. With the smell of water she hadn't realized how thirsty she had become, and the sea creature did the same with her hunger. As she ate and drank she giggled at Enki,who had been frightened by Chagi's roar.
Enki had been startled, not scared. Boys don't get scared. He felt his sister beside him and began to crawl across the top of her, why he didn't know. It just seemed like the thing to do, even though it resulted in him rolling off and flopping on his belly.

Slithering over on her belly only using her legs to help her slide towards her target she managed to lock on and indulge her thirst and fill her little belly. After a few steady gulps she flailed onto her side and her eye lids began to raise, as the world began to make itself clear her first vision was of her brother, flopped a little giggle escaped her maw as she blinked away the blurred sight.
Peering back Chagi's smile returned as he turned and returned to his lover, taking a seat he looked on at his family the two cubs making him chuckle especially his daughters tiny giggle. He let his shoulders relaxed but kept his ears perked just in case, in case of what he didn't really know, he couldn't bring himself to take the thoughts of the moment away. "'ow yous feeling Lady Ilmare?"
And so as the scene faded out on the new family, everything was looking perfect, the soft smile of the new mother, the proud smirk of the new father and the two cubs oblivious to the life ahead of them.
