KageKitsuneB Aiedaile Ok... I have a really quick question for the Otherkin that have already posted and for any others that may post in the future: When you go out and there are young children (I mean like under the age of 5) do they stare at you intently? I ask this because when my mate and I go out, younger children look at us with an intensity that sometimes scares us. My mate is Elven and I'm still trying to figure out what the heck I am. I'm just wondering if this happens to anyone else.
P.S. i had a dream about faries last night does it mean something?The odd thing is is that we don't do anything around these children, but just say "hi" and wave at them. About your dream... What were you doing in it and what was going on around you?

I remember similar dreams, only that they took place in a meadow with a brook from the bedtime stories that my mom used to tell me or under the Hickory tree that's outside my bedroom window. I have heard that eyes or another part of the body does seem different after encounters like that. It could be from the Fae food and dance or it could be an Awakening. However, if it is from the later, congrats. You will probably be receiving other dreams like this one again.

Everyone is a Human. You cannot assume you are something else just because you are seemingly different from anyone else or prefer to be something else just for the sake of being "unique". As a studier of Wicca myself, I think it's a load of bull. I believe in spells, energies, reincarnation, karma, the Goddess, and the works. But "otherkin" sounds unlikely to me.

That very well may be. But I agree with what some other people have been saying, that you are if you believe it 100 percent. Yes, there are people as stated that use it for an escape, but maybe for some people it is not.

Yes, there are people as stated that use it for an escape, but maybe for some people it is not. Did you not hear what I said? You cannot be something if you think you are 100% sure of it, that's like saying "I am very pale and my skin is very sensitive to light and I feel like my presence drains people. So it must mean I am a vampire or a 'Psychic' vampire (Or whatever damn unscientific workaround they're called), OOoooooOOooo". No, it just means you have a bad skin condition and you've been watching too many Vampire flics... As for whatever fictional species out there, it's just ridiculous, they just want to feel unique, any other subspecies on the human evolutionary tree (yeah, I am Wiccan and I believe in evolution) just died off.

Believing 100% that you are something other than human, isn't possibly. 100% means totally. 50% Therian and 50% Human would be more accurate than 100%.

granted its not everyone
if you believe that you are human through and through, well jolly good for you. makes your life a bit more easy. but not all of us are you.
i personally believe that i am elven. i always have. when i was a kid i would always try to tip my ears by folding them into points. it didn't work much to my disappointment, but you get my point.
i also can't eat meat on Fae holidays such as litha. i will gag at the taste of meat. i also don't like the feel of cold iron. it feels sticky and stings my hand when i touch it.
granted this is my belief and i don't expect you to agree with me. in fact i expect you to argue with it. but please don't try to force anything on anybody
