"Oh, I sure hope she doesn't have to show you," Haradhel smiled at Karao. "Her second gift that seems to have manifested is healing, for both herself and others. She'll probably try to help out again when the men come back with children, but until then I hope there's no need for her to use it."

Arwen giggled. "Mama says it's good to help other people, but that I have to be careful not to make myself too tired because it's ..."

She paused to think of the word.

"Drrrrrrrrrainnnnnnnnnnning to use that kind of magic."

"I'll come with you to get Celeborn, Donovan," Celebor offered. "I want to help with everything I can, so that I can learn how everything is done here, that way I can help more and I won't be such a pain."

He wanted to be independent, after all.

Donovan nodded, "You're going to need to come with me anyhow so I can give Celeborn a heads up. He's the person I normally go on hunts with, and unless it's something harder there is only two of us. So.... it's better for him to be informed."

Not to mention better for Celeborn to get to know Celebor (dear ancestors save him from mixing up their names).


"They like to dump all the things they hear on me," Lin replied as she took a bite of her cookie, "So they cling until they're finished."

Haradhel smiled. "Indeed it is," she agreed. "Now come, why don't you come sit down, have a snack with the children? There's been quite a bit happening since you all left."

"I can only imagine," Kara giggled as she took a seat with the others.

She watched for a moment as all the children interacted, when Kara thought about it it was like watching life speed ahead on fast forward.

"So how have things been going?"

Celebor nodded his agreement. "A year and a half, approximately," he affirmed. "Of course it hasn't been nearly that long for anyone else. How long was it, in Gaia time, since I came here last? It was the day of my birthday, in the middle of January."

"Actually," Amdir smiled, "it may be more efficient to find Celeborn first, and I might as well leave you at the barracks. Elrohir is out in the woods with Ahren, so it might take a while for me to find him."

Unless of course he had help, which was entirely possible now that it was spring again.

He started to lead the way outside. "Come on," he said softly, beckoning for Celebor and Donovan to follow.


Aliya on the other hand went to join Kara and Haradhel in the dining room. Adanedhel grinned at her when she entered, then looked back at Lin.

"How do you talk to them?" he asked curiously. "Do you talk to them like you talk to me? Or do you use a different language? Or do you talk like they do? Ara-kun says that how you talk can 'fect what you can talk to. I don't really know what that means but it's something like Papa talking like a horse when he talks to the horses, or talking like a bird when he talks to the birds."

"I see...." Donovan murmured.

Well if that was the case, then the barracks first it would be, probably would be better that way.

"Alright then."


"Well yes... but I also think of what I want to say to them," Lin replied, "Since really I hear it all in my head... it's not like I really hear it."

Which was something she had learned, so logic would dictate that if she heard it in her head, then the butterflies could only hear it in theirs.
