Another rich bit of laughter escaped the child at the squeal, more than pleased. "We'll keep an eye out," the Scent assured the other, certain they'd find both of the lost parents. At the boy's proclaimed directional pointing, Kaoru continued to laugh, curls bobbing around rosy cheeks. "Yessir!" came the returned chirrup, setting off with chin held high.
Walking hand in hand with Celyn, Kaoru was more or less oblivious to the glanced of those they passed and the soft 'aww's that accompanied the smiling gestures. The Scent was still giggling from just how sweet Celyn had been about his acceptance and candy stand motion, and was more than happy to sip on the drink in hand to keep from laughing too much. Kaoru hadn't ever laughed so much in the company of another, and it was quite refreshing.
They passed through the drink section and were making their way back to the sweets area when the child caught sight of Crystal. The Scent was relieved, at least, that she didn't look harried or worried; if anything, the flower girl had always put a good deal of trust into the one she called her daughter. Lifting their entwined hands to point, Kaoru proclaimed, "The curly haired one is my mom. You want to say Hi?"

Did Celyn notice that there were people looking at him and his new friend and saying 'aww?' He caught one, blushing a faint pink, but otherwise seemed to be completely oblivious to the fact that people were looking at them. In the end, he was too focused on Kaoru and the fun that they were having even when their time together was about to end. The pomegranate child was a really fun person; Celyn liked Kaoru more than most he had met and it had only been a little while.
"Hm. Dad worries a lot, so maybe I shouldn't." The churro boy frowned as he realized what a horrible idea that was. That would make their time together end faster! Well, surely Dad wouldn't lose his head if he took a few extra minutes getting back to the candy stand... "But I think he'll be okay for a few minutes. I'll say Hi!" If Kaoru was this awesome, hir mother had to be awesome too, right?
Well, Kaoru's mother did run the Glided Lily which had a little cafe attached, according to Kaoru. Anyone who sold sweet delights was automatically awesome to Celyn, so long as they were willing to let Celyn try some of those sweet delights. "I'm sure she's really neat, 'cause you're really awesome." He showed Kaoru a wide grin before sipping from his glass once again.

Kaoru tried not to, but couldn't help a small pout that formed as Celyn mentioned his dad. The child knew the day couldn't last forever, but that didn't make either seem too terribly eager to part, regardless. At the boy's change of mind, the Scent brightened considerably, cheeks coloring in the slightest at the compliment. "My mom is very cool," Kaoru agreed, boasting a bit while leading Celyn towards the indicated woman. "Aren't you mom? I made a friend!"
Crystal turned at the familiar voice, smiling warmly at the sight of her daughter and someone else in tow. The boy looked familiar, but she couldn't pinpoint why. "Aren't I what? And hello, sweetie," she greeted Celyn. She would have extended her hand to greet him, but it seemed both children's hands were quite occupied. "I'm Crystal. I hope Kay didn't cause too many problems."
"Mooooom," the Scent scuffed a dainty foot, glancing side-long at Celyn.
The woman chuckled, brushing her long curly locks over her shoulder. "I know, you're my Angel." Her steely eyes took in the two drinks, tilting her head as she touched the basket on her arm. "Did you eat already with your friend, Kay?"
The child shook hair just as curly as the flower girl's. "We came to find you and Celyn's dad," Kaoru explained with some reluctance.
Smiling, the woman nodded her head, glancing about. "If he doesn't show up soon, I'll treat you both to lunch, then."

Celyn watched the exchange between daughter and mother as he sipped his drink and rocked back and forth on his feet. When there seemed to be a small break in the conversation, he stopped drinking and decided to speak up. "That's really nice of you, Kaoru's mom!" He gave a toothy, cheerful grin. "It wouldn't cost you too much, right? I'd give you some money, but I don't have any." The churro boy then had the passing thought of showing Crystal his wallet, but then he'd have to let go of something and Celyn didn't want to do that.
Nevertheless, it was doubtful that his father would take that long. He panicked far too much. In fact, if his father was done shopping and had gone back to the candy stand, he was probably running around crazily already. "I think my dad will show up soon, though. He worries a lot, and when he worries, he gets a bit silly and starts looking everywhere." That was sad, though. He didn't want to part from Kaoru yet! Maybe his dad wouldn't think of coming this way. With that thought to cheer him up, the churro boy squeezed Kaoru's hand lightly and giggled.

"It's no problem, Celyn. It's the least I can do to thank you for taking care of my daughter." Crystal smiled warmly, tilting her head to the side with a bounce of her dark curls. "We can help you find your father if you'd like. We can eat and walk at the same time too, if you're so inclined." Her grey-blue eyes dipped to observe the entwined hands, a smile tugging at her seashell lips. "That is, if Kaoru can release her boyfriend long enough--"
"MOM!" the child cried out, cheeks flushing the color of roses. Bright crimson eyes turned to Celyn apologetically, even going so far as to loosen the grip on his hand in the slightest. How horrifying! They were just kids after all! And this was the age where boys thought girls had cooties! Kaoru had enough problems making friends without such implications, although the Scent would never say such a thing to Crystal or the boy within such a dainty palm. "M'sorry Celyn, she likes to tease..."
Crystal laughed softly. "It's just teasing, yes. I'm happy to see someone being so kind." The flower girl left it at that, awaiting to see Celyn's decision before continuing further.

The churro boy never really thought girls had cooties. They were just other people, right? Their voices were a bit higher and they wore dresses sometimes, but that was no big deal. When Crystal teased Kaoru and called Celyn hir boyfriend, Celyn only giggled. "It's okay, Kaoru! I don't mind." He showed Kaoru a cheerful smile from ear to ear to prove just that.
Then, he turned back towards Crystal. "Okay! Thank you, Kaoru's Mom! That's really nice of you." Since he didn't have to take out his wallet to offer her some money for her generosity, Celyn sipped at his drink instead. After getting enough to wet his throat, he looked back up to the woman. "So where are we going to go? My Dad's probably that way," he pointed, "'cause that's where he was headed earlier, so maybe we should head off that way?"

"Lead the way," Crystal smiled warmly, stooping a little to pick up a basket at her side. Placing it in the crook of her elbow, she gave a little nod, indicating that Celyn could lead. She wasn't in a hurry and didn't mind taking the extra time to walk around the market a bit longer; the weather was fair, and she wanted to take it in for all she could. More importantly, it did her heart wonders to see Kaoru getting along with another child; she had been afraid for her daughter and her decided lack of friends her age.
The Scent was all grins, ear to ear, pleased as punch by Celyn's easy-going nature. Taking a sip of the other cup, Kaoru gave a curt nod full of bouncing curls. "We'll stay with you," the child assured the sweet smelling boy, the statement very matter-of-fact. "Maybe he'd like lunch too!" Kaoru ventured to guess about Celyn's father, squeezing the boy's hand. That'd be fun! Lunch for all of them!

"Maybe! Dad said he had a performance later today, so I'm not sure how much time he has." Celyn pouted mildly, realizing that would probably make it likely that his time with Kaoru would get cut off very soon, as fun as eating lunch together would be. Of course, the easy-going child quickly brightened. "But he might want to. Dad likes eating food sometimes, especially when he doesn't have to pay for it."
The churro boy was still full of giggles. He squeezed Kaoru's hand in turn before starting ahead to find his father. It didn't take long to find the man, though. His panicked shouts could be heard from a block away, and Celyn instinctively cringed. "Oh boy."
"CELYN?!" A stressed voice rang through the air, along with a couple crashes as Carwyn knocked over a few things in hopes of finding the young boy underneath them. "Where are you?! You're worrying me sick!! Have you seen a boy with a long braid?! Have you? How about you?"
Celyn smiled sheepishly. "Oopsie."

"Oh dear," the flower girl couldn't help but smile, changing her pace to move in front of the children, "I'll go talk to him. You two enjoy those drinks; we'll be back shortly." Crystal nodded to the two, one hand brushing over her daughter's full curls before making her way through the crowd towards the sound, hoping to soothe the man before turning the boy over to him.
The Scent giggled, looking side-long at Celyn. "It's good that he worries about you," Kaoru offered up hopefully. "It means he cares, right?" A light smile curled cupid-bow lips, shoulders lifting in a noncommital shrug. The child sipped at the drink clutched within a small hand, the smile fading a little as a notion occured. "He'll let you come back again, wont he? I'd be sad if I couldn't see you again because I got you in trouble!" Of course, Kaoru would feel mildly guilty about having dragged the cinnamon boy off to begin with, but it would be two fold if he was punished for it.

Celyn offered a hopeful smile. "I doubt he'd prevent me from seeing you! I mean, if anything he'll be happy I found a friend, I think. Dad panics a lot, though. I think I make him nervous." The giggly child giggled yet again as he played with his mostly empty cup. Then, he decided to do as Kaoru's mother had suggested, taking a sip of the drink and enjoying it. "But that's okay. Your mother seems really nice so hopefully she'll be able to calm him down."
Celyn's father spotted the new arrival and was in front of her before she could blink. Anyone to interrogate was welcomed for this panicking father. "Have you seen this kid?! Light hair in a braid, giggles far too much, responds to the name Celyn?" In some ways, it sounded like Celyn's father was referring to some kind of pet. Of course, that wasn't at all the case, but it was still amusing to listen to. "He was supposed to wait for me but he got away!"

The Scent nodded at the cinnamon boy's words, a light smile playing across lips that had been pouting a mere moment before. Kaoru offered some of the drink still within the child's dainty grasp, which was still about half full. "It can be shocking to suddenly be a parent," came the thoughtful agreement, remembering Qadir's consideration and Cyr's reaction. The child was lucky that Crystal had been far more accomodating. "Well, he's your dad so he must be great anyway!" Kaoru chirruped happily.
The flower girl indeed would attempt to calm the man, smiling warmly at him and lifting a hand to rest lightly upon his own. "I have, and he's with my daughter, who is one just like him," she imparted her words with a gentle tone, hoping the man would catch on. "He is this way, safe with my Kaoru. I'm afraid she found him and lead him to find a snack, since it is close to lunch. The marketplace is a fairly tight knit community, watching out for one another." It was true; many knew who she was from her family's business, which was why she was not as worried about her own child as Carwyn.
Crystal didn't actually know if that's what happened, but she knew she herself was very lenient when allowing her daughter to explore. The girl didn't always understand that not everyone had the same advantage. Smiling, the curly haired woman moved her hand to indicate the direction to go to find them, trying to keep her own appearance relaxed so that the other may do the same.

Celyn blushed brightly when Kaoru remarked that Celyn's father had to be great mainly because he was. "Aww! You really think so? Thanks so much, Kaoru! That's kinda' like how your mom is really great. She's your mother, so she's gotta' be a great person as she's already proved!" Speaking of her mother, Celyn glanced in the direction that Crystal had headed in. Good, she had found the overly panicked Carwyn.
"Really?! You know where he is!? Oh thank gods! I needed to find him so we could head off to my gig tonight! If I didn't find him soon I feared he would be lost forever! Thank you thank you thank you!" Now to find the two children who were standing nearby. They had to be around here somewhere if the mother was there... ah! As soon as he saw the two children chattering happily with each other, Carwyn was off like a bullet and scooped up Celyn in one swoop of the arm.
Celyn flailed at suddenly being picked up off the ground, but when he realized it was his panicking father, Celyn only sighed. He supposed that they had to go with Carwyn's panicked mumblings around a gig, and frowned. Well, at least he got to talk to Kaoru for a little bit longer. Carwyn petted Celyn's head before turning around and smiling gratefully at Crystal.
"Thanks, Ms. Now, I have to be heading off, so since Celyn seems to be disappointed, I'll have to let him see you two again at some point." Well, at least his dad seemed willing to let him see them again. Then again, it was probably because it gave him somewhere to put Celyn while Carwyn did he daytime job.
Celyn clapped happily. "Well, I guess I'll see you around at your cafe, Kaoru! That'll be really fun. Maybe we can cook some stuff together! Daddy, don't start heading away... Awww, okay Daddy! I'll see you later, Kaoru!"
(( Just replying mainly so this can be considered ended. If you want to continue it more, that's fine because I don't mind--I'll edit the post. That being said, I haven't seen you around anyway, and I've been gone for a while so it's been a very long time anyway. *shrug* This way there's closure on this and maybe they can meet again at some point. ))

The mention of 'gig' and being in a hurry confused the flower girl, but she gave a smile of acknowledgement and bowed her head as he took off to the two. Crystal watched the man scoop up his child and couldn't help but smile more widely; even if it was concerned about being late for something, it warmed her to see someone fret so for their child. There weren't many who cared these days, it seemed. She joined the three shortly thereafter, nodding to her daughter to bid her farewells.
The child looked up owlishly at the Scent's friend was suddenly scooped off his feet and airborn, the expression immediately shifting into a wide and happy smile at the man. "Okay!" Kaoru piped up happily. "You come too sir, there's plenty of goodies at the cafe and I'd like to meet Celyn's dad!" The pomegranate youth's eyes were alight with joy; a friend and a father of a friend, perhaps both to join them at the shop! That was something to look forward to! Looking to Celyn, the Scent fell into a deep curtsey. "It was really nice to meet you, Celyn," Kaoru offered almost shyly, "can't wait to see you again."
"Don't be strangers," Crystal agreed with a light smile, hand resting on her daughter's chestnut curls. "A friend of Kaoru's is a friend of ours."
