Sentenced To Death
Malaika ran through the brush doing her best to weave her trail every which way. She knew she was being tracked as it wasn't like her father to let any traitors get away especially her. She had to do something though. When her father sentenced her daughter, his granddaughter, to be purified, or in others words put to death, she could not stand by and allow it. She'd taken her daughter and ran. She'd ran until she'd found a good place to hide her daughter then she'd hid her and she'd been doing her best to throw off her trail away from her ever since.

She'd feared this since she'd found out she was pregnant not by her arranged mate but by the king of a neighboring pride that her father had been trying to take out for quite a while. However the pride was strong even against them and unlike her fathers pride which was filled with white lions and lionesses this pride had some of the most beautifully colored lions she had ever seen in her entire life and the king was the most beautiful of them all with beatiful shades of blue and purple adorning his fur. She'd fallen in love with him the moment she saw him and the feeling was mutual. They'd spent many a nights alone that was until she realized she was pregnant and that was when she had to make herself scarce as her fathers eye was on her even more to make sure she didn't harm her cubs.

She had shared her fears with her love the king and he had set up to have one of his prides younger warriors in training trained specifically to protect any of the cubs that came out with his colors. That had eased her worried until the day she birthed which was when her fathers pride had finally managed to ambush and destroy her loves pride and all chances of protection that her cubs had. Her first cub came pure white with very light snowflakes upon his paws, her second and third both were pure white little girls but her forth, oh her precious little girl, completely the same shades of blue and purple as the king with the only white being upon her bum and back legs where she was marked with her mothers snowflakes.

It wasn't long after birthing them her father appeared. He was not happy with the sight of the colored girl. He recognized those colors as the same as the king he had taken down in battle not hours before. He ordered the purification of the girl immediately. Even in her weak state Malaika could not allow this. She grabbed her colored daughter and ran.

She was here now doing her best to make sure her daughter was not found. Out here she had a better chance at surviving at least. She was tiring though, her body was still weak from birthing and movement of any kind was causing her emense pain. She glanced back over her shoulder checking for signs of anyone following her and when she turned her head back her path was blocked by the lackey of her father. She skidded to a hault and glared at Titia.

Titia was just grinning smuggly at her as her tail twitch in excitement. "I warned the king you'd someday go traitor. I'm sure you know what this means. Banishment." A fiercely smug grin appeared on her maw. "Death. Your father's given the order and sent me to carry it out."

Malaika snarled at Titia as she carried on. "I might get a promotion in rank for this. Bringing in the body of the kings traitorous daughter ought to be worth something after all." Titia let out an evil cackle just before she lunged at Malaika. Malaika leaped backwards stumbling over a stick behind her giving Titia enough chance to knock her to the ground and pin her.

In her weakened state Malaika couldn't manage to push Titia off her. However she put up a good fight in keeping Titia away from her neck until Titia pushed her head back and sunk her teeth deep into Malaika's neck and ripped the main artery in her neck to pieces. She was dead only minutes later.
