Aria couldn't help but smile. She sang a few notes to match his humming and then she swam out to meet him continuing to sing.
She smiled at him as she started to sing and sway both in time to his humming.

Damien reached out to Aria and slowly placed his arms around her waist. His humming softened as he listened to her singing. "Beautiful as always." He murmured in her hair with a soft kiss.
His eyes flashed as if making a decision and then Damien spoke softly to Aria, "Aria..." He paused as his fingers made small circles around her collar bone and then touched her shoulders. "Do you want to come with me and see the 'project' that I'm working on?

Aria continued to sing even though the humming had stopped. She enjoyed singing and the sway was fun especially with a partner. A shiver went down her spine when he traced her collarbone.
"Of course I want to see it." Was all she could say, her voice too excited.

"Good." Damien smiled and gently grabbed Aria's hand and laced their fingers together. Then he started swimming back the way that he had originally came from...back towards the undersea cave that was in the cliff side.
Passing by a small clearing surrounded by colorful undersea plants and decorated with sunning rocks of light colors such as pale gray blue, orange, and some other mixed colors. Damien suddenly stopped in front of two large boulders covered in sea ivy and his free hand reached out and barely parted the ivy entrance. "Ready?" He asked turning to Aria with a small grin.

Aria nodded her head. She loved the bright plants. They made the place seem welcoming and homely unlike the Ivy. But the Ivy was like a doorway. So Aria didn't complain she followed and drew closer to Damien.
Aria had grown a lot but she still didn't like dark or menacing places and this one looked like it was evil. She trusted him and she felt safe by his side.

Damien smirked faintly when he read Aria's expression. "Trust me. It's not as scary and dark as it seems." He then pulled back the ivy which laced around the boulders leaving an opening and the other side of the ivy was colorful, little rainbows hidden in the green background.
The cave itself was decent with the walls and ceiling glimmering like tiny stars from the energy that the rocks collected during the day and also from the small stream of light that trickled in from a chamber further back. Feathery looking quilts made of the strands of soft undersea plants made a bed and other things such as a small area for eating...should they prepare meals at anytime. Natural shelves were already there in the walls and some small objects laid there.
But further back was the main reason he'd picked this area...it was from the tunnel leading to that chamber that the soft glow of moonlight trickled in. It came from the back chamber's decent sized opening that was on the roof of the home. From there they could leave as well and cover it back up with ivy should they decide to darken the rooms.

Aria's mouth dropped when she saw the inside of the cave. It was anything but scary.
She loved it. "I love it!" She cried excitedly hugging Damien. "What is it for? A Hang out?"
She smiled happily as her eyes took in all the sights and bright colors.

Joy flooded Damien's heart as Aria complimented the home. Then she asked what it was. Covering his mouth to hide the faint trace of laughter on his lips, Damien shook his head at her.
"No..." Moving his hand from his face, he took Aria's hand in both of his. "Not a hang out..." His forehead brushed against her's and he took a deep breath. "It's hopefully the first home for me and for someone very important....should they want. Want to live here with me, that is."
A pause and silence filled the room, "That someone is you, Aria." His eyes full of emotion met hers as he waited for an answer.

Aria jumped into his arms and squealed with glee. "I'd love to!" She smiled happily and kissed Damien. "It's a perfect house. Everything I could have ever wanted."
She hugged him and couldn't stop. She felt filled with happiness and glee. This had to be it. They were an official couple now. They would live together. No more rock and seaweed for her bed!

Damien's face lit up as he saw Aria's happiness and the syrin decided that now was the time to pull "it" off. "I'm glad. And Aria..." He held up his index finger in a gesture that meant, "Give me a sec...". Then he shuffled through one of the small chests near the shelves.
A small wooden box was pulled out and he held it out towards her. Opening it, he revealed a small golden ring that was on a chain. On the ring where small gemstones of the brightest blue with a diamond in the center. He couldn't help but to slightly blush as he explained, "I've heard that on the land they give their other half an item "to seal a promise of being together as a couple"..... In other words though, it's a...." He paused and looked somewhat sheepish since this was so wierd to him, "A token of my love for you!" He finished still holding out the piece of jewelry.

Aria waited and thought about what all this could mean. Sure she was going to have a real bed and home. Would this mean Damien liked her as a sister? Or as a lover? She was busy in thought and didn't notice his absence.
He seemed pleased at her reaction so there must be a very wonderful reason for her to move in. She saw the small box and looked puzzled. Why would he be so excited about a box?
She giggled when he blushed and handed her the contents of the box. She loved the gems. Sparkly and some matched her scales. This was perfect.
"It's so pretty and amazing. I wish I could give you something. But I can't make things or find them. Except for trouble. Perhaps a song?"
She laughed and hugged him. She loved all the little things Damien has done for her.

"A song would be lovely." Replied Damien still hugging her, "But Aria....you are giving me something. It's in every thing you do. Whether you're laughing, smiling, singing, being goofy, or anything." He started to absently play with a strand of her hair, searching for the right words.
"And I want you to know something else....this feeling that I feel for you isn't a family like love." He coughed into his hand and looked back up into her eyes, "It's much much more."

Aria couldn't help but let her cheeks turn plum purple. She smiled as she tried to find her voice.
"I'm so glad! I thought I love loved you and you just thought me as a sister or something." She kissed Damien and looked into his eyes. "I am so grateful for everything. It feels like we were meant to be. You know?"
She laughed and pushed her hair out of her face. Her heart felt lifted and free while she could only fill up with happiness.

The sun light reflected on the surface of the peaceful ocean as the adult syrin was finishing his journey with the normal bag of collected items over his shoulder. He'd found many useful things that could definitely help around his new home that he shared with his mate, Aria.
Thinking of her made Damien quicken his pace as he swum the familiar waters. He'd been swimming since the very dawn of this morning, but still didn't feel tired with his home so near.
Damien couldn't help but to think of Aria as he approached the familiar entrance that led inside to his home...it had been nearly two weeks...was anything different now then since he'd left? Was she doing well? Then after knocking on the cavern walls Damien whispered. "I'm home..."

Aria sat by the kitchen finishing the last basket. She hopped that she could tell Damien without having him worry about being with children. She also wondered if that little white orphaned Syrin would come by again. She had liked feeing the child and felt bad when she had left.
She had missed Damien in the last two weeks and suddenly felt all the feelings rush by with the sound of his voice, "I'm home!"
She held herself back as she swam with careful slowness. "Hi Damien." She said with a smile as he entered the cavern. "Have any luck?" She kissed him on the cheek and waited for him to ask for a home cooked meal, or a nice place to sit.
