Nope you aren't I don't do ballet, i did, and I sort of regret not doing it. I want to get back into it but my parents will be reluctant to do that im sure...especiallly if i start from the beginning..I'm 15 now, and it would be a bit hard to start from the beginning I guess. I do hip- hop, jazz, some lyrical, and pom for school.

Zane2000 Well ballet is the basis for everything, so if you want to make a career out of it then it's important you have it. But if you dance for fun then whatever you like!! 3nodding omg i never thought of it that way i do irish dancing and seem to be fine without ballet but maybe ill look into that

HappyFaceQueen I dance mainly ballet, but I like to dance other styles. Many great dancers don't dance ballet, of course they are great in other styles, not in ballet. I dance Ballet but I am alot better in hiphop

The director at the studio that i am temorarily at, she says that also, I kinda see how it is, and I think she is right for the most part.

I'm not fond of ballet. I actually really really dislike it. I do solo Irish Dance, Highland, and ceili/contra dances/set dances. I've tried ballet (yuck), Tap (yuck), and bellydance (which was awesome, but not really available where I live).

I don't do ballet, but I don't do it because it is not really my style. People can understand me when I say that.

I think ballet is cool, but I've never done it. I took a tap dance class when I was little, but now I just do bellydance.

Personally, I do ballet and modern. =)
