Reign glanced at the pair for a moment. "Well, I gotta call my mom to come pick me up now... So, excuse me for a moment." The woman walked down the hallway a bit and punched a number on her speed dial. "Yeah, Mom, it's me. Can you come pick me up?"
Cassi hugged Kate back. "Kate nice. Nice nice..."
The tech reemerged at this moment with a dry pair of shorts. Amazingly... they somehow managed to look rather simliar to the ones the child was already wearing. He started towards Reign, then noticed she was on the phone. "Here." He shoved the shorts at T'rin, then started to head back out.
"Oh, the door's that way." The tech gestured down the hallway before disappearing.

Happy to have Cassi's attention back on her, where it should be, Kate patted her best friend. "Cassi nice," she replied happily.
T'rin half started forward, clearing his throat awkwardly when the tech interuppted his movement.
"Here," the man said, shoving a clean pair of shorts into the man's hands. Fumbling the pink items a bit, the man started to protest. It died in his throat as the tech began to walk away.
Shaking his head at the man's curt demeanor, T'rin kneeled gingerly next to Kate. "Er.. Kate... It's..ah.... time to go.." he forced out, dreading the girl's reaction.

Cassi practically purred with happiness at Kate's patting. He jumped a bit as T'rin knelt down close to them. He clung tightly to Kate at the man's words. "Kate no bye bye!"
Reign wrapped up her phone call and wandered back over to where the kids were. "Well, my mom's on the way..." she remarked, mostly just to Cassi, though for the man's benefit as well.

Kate clung back just as hard. "Cassi come?" she pleaded hopefully, eyeing her new daddy. "Please? Cassi come too?" Daddies were nice. So he'd let Cassi and Mommy come too, right? Blinked wide puppy eyes up at T'rin she smiled. They wouldn't leave.
"Uh, er," T'rin stumbled over his words, face beet red. "Here," he finally got out, shoving the shorts at Reign. Ignoring Kate's question, the man pried her off of Cassi, and into his arms. "We'll uh see them.... Soon," the man lied as he hurried the way the tech had pointed.
Unbelieving for a minute, Kate simply sat in shock. Soon the halls were filled with a piercing screech as she put her lungs to good use. Kicking and flailing as T'rin forced her away from Cassi the girl didn't quiet down, not even after they had gotten in the car, and out of sight of D-corp.
With a groan, T'rin put the pedal to the ground. He was going to kill Peri.

Cassi burst into tears as Kate was pulled away from him. He started after her, but his new mommy stopped him. "KATE NO BYE BYE! KATE NO BYE BYE!!!!" The boy screamed after his friend, sobbing as the two disappeared out of sight. Reign eyed the shorts and figured she'd just wait a while to try and change the kid's clothes. Poor thing was already upset...
