Si1ver Streak Maha tells Rajah to keep an eye on the man and warn him if he moves. Now he'll look behind him for any sign of that powerful item you mentioned. the powerful item is a gigantic crystal of some considerable magical substance. it looms in the top keep, unused. now that your attention is focused on the castle you note that several places in the castle are slightly magical, and magic surrounds the castle in an almost mundane way, reflecting the way it was built. there is only one place in the castle, a gigantic room, that dosn't seem to have a trace of magic within it or outside of it.

((Does the crystal look like its part of the castle? Or like something that's been recently added?))

((Spellcraft roll to determine what school the item effect belongs to (as per Detect Magic): 1d20 + 30 = 34 vs. DC=15 + spell level (or 1/2 caster level)))

((Spellcraft roll to determine what school the item effect belongs to (as per Detect Magic): 1d20 + 30 = 34 vs. DC=15 + spell level (or 1/2 caster level))) It looks like it has spells from Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, and Enchantment, but there seems to be some kind of magic preventing you from gathering any further knowledge about its properties

Si1ver Streak ((Is that worried-looking king from the mirror anywhere about?)) he's on his throne, completely surrounded by protection charms, and gaurded by dozens of gaurds and a couple of wizards

Si1ver Streak Maha approaches the king, stopping about 15-20 feet away. "I have come from the high king, seeking the source of this storm. What do you know of it?" the king suddenly looks paniced,"we don't know why its happening, or what it is. it doesn't know reason, and all of our envoys, no matter how powerful, have all befell its might." he almost screams as the man in red walks into the room.

Si1ver Streak Maha continues to address the king, "And who is this?" the man in red chuckles, "well father, i see you have to revert to this lot to get the job done, well, you have slipped to far. you think that the paling crystals that surround this country will protect you from him, they won't! he'll be through them in a day and then you and all of this will be nothing! i give you again the only solution, use the pentagram spectral!" the king shrinks, "no, i will never use it. it would surely kill all of us!"

The man in red chuckles under his breath and then responds,” the question is not who our enemy is, but really what your enemy is. I say this because he’s not even human anymore, and on top of that, he is not my enemy, just an enemy of those who hold the pentagrams. As for his name,” he hands you a piece of paper that says “Cedric Strom” and continues, “do not utter it aloud if you wish to remain alive for long.”
