"Honestly, I had nothing else to really do besides sit up in the common room here for awhile with Roxy. Did you have anything in mind to do, or are you busy yourself?"

"No," Payton replied as he stacked his things in front of him and then turned to look at Trista. "No, I'm not busy. I just wanted to go up to the Astronomy Tower tonight and check out a few stars, maybe we'll get a comet shower that's suppose to occur tonight or tomorrow night," he said, more or less suggesting an invite. "That's if you'd like to come with me?" his question sounding slower than usual, since they would mostly likely be up at the Tower alone or if luck would have it, most of the sixth and seventh year students would be there also.

"I completely understand if you don't want to come with me, being as how we don't know each other much," Payton added and then stood up from his chair slowly and grabbed his things with his hands. He felt rather awkward for being so forward in his type of event, but he thought it'll give the both of them a chance to get out from being alone.

Payton waited patiently for Trista's answer, hoping that she would consider going with him or just turning him down easy allowing him to wait for the weekend to spend time together. 'I doubt if she would even consider going with me,' I wondered as I raked my fingers through my sluggish dirty blonde hair. My attention turned when I heard a voice in the room again.

" Oh uhh....umm i didn't know people were still here..." "Oh its not that I don't like you two, I uhh..yeah..."

"Hey, don't go," Payton called towards the girl that he once saw drawing over by the fire. 'Maybe if there were more people, it wouldn't seem so awkward,' an idea came across as he looked down then up at the girl whose name he didn't know. "It's okay. I was just asking Trista here if she'd like to come and check out the comet shower that's suppose to start tonight or tomorrow. Maybe you'd like to come with us, if you'd like?" he asked, opening the offer for the two ladies.

"Oh... I don't want to be a bother.." Emylee quietly spoke. It might be nice to go see the comets....and well be around people for once.. Emylee thought to herself.

"Oh... I don't want to be a bother.."

"It would be a pleasure to have you, really."

"Yes, it'll be good fun. The more the merrier," Payton suggested as he looked at the girl, not really knowing her name due to his lack of socialism. The idea of spending time with students from his House seemed to be a good start in making friends, even though they were girls. With his school work in hand and not receiving a reply yet, he stated, "how about I give a few minutes to think it through. I'm just going to run down and drop off my things on my bed and return. If you want to come, we'll leave when I get back," and then made his way slowly, giving a friendly gesture to the two ladies.

Payton walked briskly towards the spiraling staircase and jogged down the steps. Once reaching the right floor, he walked over to the wooden door to his room. 'I hope tonight doesn't ruin my friendship with the two ladies,' he hoped as he pushed the door open with his right shoulder.

Payton looked around his room for things that he needed, he grabbed his warmer blanket in case it would get cold or windy, he went over to his trunk and got his star map and astronomy book from last year. With all the things he hoped he needed tucked under his arm, he made his way back up the stairs to the common room. He saw that both ladies were there waiting for him as he felt good about this little excursion.

"Well, I'm all set," Payton said and headed towards the portrait, "we have about two hours before curfew and it'll take us ten minutes to get to the top of the Astronomy Tower. We better hurry before the good seats are taken," he explained and then pushed the portrait open and held it for the ladies to walk through.

Trista followed after Emylee, giving a playful bow to Payton as he held the portrait open. "Merci, Monsieur." She giggled and gave him a kind smile, then started the journey up to the Astronomy Tower.

Emylee walked back into the common room. "Oh hello...I'm Emylee.." Emylee said awkwardly.

Randy walked into the Ravenclaw common room. He looked around rather shyly. Everyone was talking to each other and he didn't know anyone. He sat down in a remote area of the common room. He looked at the ceiling, *Another year* he thought, being it was only his second year. He looked into the corner of the room and noticed another Ravenclaw seprate from the group. He decided he should make a friend. He walked over to Clara and shyly introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Randy Ross," he said. and waited for a response
