Fireheart's claws just missed Mangoberry's eyes, but his teeth met into Mangoberry's shoulder. Mangoberry yowled , but he was being powered by pure rage and he wasn't going to back down so easily. Even as he saw cats, gathering out of the corner of his eye all he could think of was tearing Fireheart apart.
With another battle cry he ripped his shoulder from Fireheart's grip, spilling some blood to the ground as he did. The pain was great, but he ignored it as he attempted a leap and hold on the larger Fireheart. Leaping to his Fireheart's back he started to dig his claws into Fireheart's pelt and skin, he threw his head back ready to deliver a forceful bite to Fireheart's scruff.
This was enough for Thunderclaw, he did not need to know why they were fighting. Letting out a battle cry he charged into the battle, he bit into Mangoberry's leg and dragged him off Fireheart.
Mangoberry yowled as he felt something snap in his leg. He yelped as he hit the ground, but his rage still fired on and he turned working on only three legs he pounced on Thunderclaw to the ground. Biting at his chest only because he did not wish to kill Thunderclaw if it had been Fireheart he would be sinking his teeth into the neck.
Thunderclaw yowled and flailed under Mangoberry, not seeming to be able to break the hold the cat had on him.

Feathersong let out a battle cry and charged into the fray. As soon as he got close enough he snapped his jaws in to Firheart's hind-leg. What in StarClan's name did Mangoberry do to cause this riot? He stayed focused on keeping hold on Fireheart.
((Fernpelt caused a battle of the clans. @_@))

((Lol you know they say in olden days beautiful woman was all it took to start a war, in this case though it will most likely be Mangoberry that will receive punishment from this battle, what I'm not sure that will be the Riverclan leaders decision ))

Fawnfur had been drinking from the river some ways from the fight, but the deputies head snapped up at the first yowl of battle, her normally sleek coat fluffed. That was never a good sound and it sounded very close to home. She turned and sprinted to the source of the commotion. It was a mess of a riot that she felt shouldn't be allowed to continue for long. There were clan cats of both River and Thunder Clans gathering, either to join in the fray or to watch what was unfolding.
It was then that she spotted him. Thunderclaw was in that mess, pinned under a RiverClan tom. Her ears pulled back flat against her head and a low growl rumbled in her chest. She charged into the fight and threw herself hard into Mangoberry's side, her tail lashing in her anger. For some reason, this fight seemed to have struck a personal hit against the deputy. She was upset that all these cats were carrying on for whatever reason, but she was furious at the tom for attacking Thunderclaw.
"What is going on here," she demanded of whoever would answer.

Mangoberry hadn't seen the hit from the side coming his broken leg made his balance uneven. He toppled to the ground pausing for a moment before staggering up once more. Mangoberry yowled again and charged towards Fireheart seeming to still want to take blood.
Thunderclaw hopped up his chest dripping from the large wound. He would survive, but he was shocked at the power of the rage in Mangoberry. "Fawnfur!.....He's demented or something! I broke his leg and he's still going after Fireheart!" Thunderclaw moved closer to Fawnfur ready if the Riverclan cat's decided to turn on Fawnfur.

Fawnfur winced a little at the sight of the wound on Thunderclaw's chest. She nodded at what he said and glanced from Fireheart to the RiverClan tom. This had to stop and she felt like she was just the cat to do it. She leapt to partially block the way to Fireheart. She raised a paw and promptly gave the River tom two hard swats to the face, her claws sheathed.
"Enough!" she yeowled. "I don't know why you two are fighting but this has gone on for far too long and I am ending it here!" Her ears were flatened against her head and her tail lashed angrily. Her stance was confident and she wasn't about to take any flak from any cat of either side.

The whacks to the head seemed to stop Mangoberry. His eyes darted round as though he had just realized there were more cats then just him and Fireheart now.
Mangoberry crouched down panting a bit. What now? Riverclan and Thunderclan cats had fought, it was no longer something for just Fireheart and Mangoberry to worry about. He couldn't tell the Thunderclan cats about Fernpelt's kits and betrayal to his own clan. Running won't solve things either, the clan leaders would have to talk about it eventually. Mangoberry gave a horrible look to Fireheart as though daring him to speak, to give a reason to all this.
"Feathersong, let go of Fireheart....And get out of here....this was nothing to do with you." Mangoberry grumbled at last. Mangoberry glared at Fawnfur from the ground, he wasn't sure what to say so she could just ask questions if she wished.

Fawnfur sat down in front of Mangoberry keeping a wary eye on both toms. Her expression was stone set and she simply stared coolly back in responce to the RiverClan tom's glare. "Now that you've calmed a bit, tell me your name and why you've brought this fighting down upon our clans. Surely you know that there are other ways to solve grievences than resorting to violence."
The she-cat huffed a sigh and glanced around at the assembled cats. "Thunderclaw, please have that wound looked at by a medicine cat relatively soon, okay? Fireheart, either you and I will be speaking later or I shall take you to the leaders to discuss this matter. The rest of you, there is nothing more to see here. Get back to what you were doing, all of you."
The deputy's gaze settled back on the tom in front of her. "Now, I know you are injured. Why carry on so? What offense has Fireheart done to encite such rage from you?"

ShadowDream and CloudPelt had barely arrived to the chaotic gathering before a deputy was jumping in and stopping the whole mess. ShadowDream was older now, he was not stupid enough to just jump into a fight regardless of who it was between, instead he'd hovered near the she-cat with his fur puffed up, trying to make sense of the whole matter as well as making sure CloudPelt was hurt, warrior or not.
But soon enough FawnFur was telling them to disasmble. He glanced to CloudPelt. "We are not needed here," He said softly, though his eyes flicked back to the bloodied cats.

Feathersong grumbled and got off of Fireheart his tail lashing with rage what in the name of StarClan had happened? He saw the look in Mangoberry's eyes, the look of yearning. Was this fight about Fernpelt? Were his suspicions correct. He carried on walking back to camp.

Mothstar had been downriver fishing when a shrill yowl broke her concentration. Her paw sliced the water, claws skimming over silver scales. Her head jerked up as her prey dived, and almost instantaneously the large dappled cat was flying towards the sound. Reeds and brush whipped past as she dashed up the familiar bank, weaving around rocks and other obstacles that were imprinted in her memory from moons of patrols and exploration.
The leader was soft spoken, and hunting came far more naturally to her than fighting, but if Riverclan cats were in trouble she would throw herself into the brawl with the fury of a mother fox. Foliage exploded with movement as she barreled through one of the denser bushes near Thunderclan territory into the river. Swift strokes propelled her to the opposite bank in seconds. Without pausing to shake the moisture from her slick coat, Mothstar continued her trek away from the border.
Finally the sight of the battle was in her view. Slightly relieved that it was over, but no less concerned for the cats involved, she turned towards Fawnfur, the Thunderclan deputy.
"What happened here?"

"I can not tell you, it was between two toms, it was your clan's cats whom made it more than that. Perhaps you should ask Fireheart? Maybe a warrior as honorable as he could answer your questions. " Mangoberry said simply seeming rather calm and uncaring about the whole matter. He surprisingly still did not change his demeanor as Mothstar arrived. He seemed to make himself more comfortable his broken leg outstretched in an odd way.
"Mothstar." He greeted bowing his head.
Thunderclaw was hesitant to leave, but when Mothstar arrived and seemed clueless he felt better. This meant it wasn't an attack, it truly was only one Riverclan tom that had attacked. Thunderclaw's tail brushed Fawnfur's flank as a gesture to let her know he was leaving.

Fawnfur turned her head to the approaching Mothstar. She dipped her head in a polite greeting. An ear flicked as she started to mull over Mangoberry's words. She vaguely grasped the meaning behind his words. She was a fairly perceptible she-cat and caught the drift. "There's a she-cat involved, isn't there? A queen maybe?" It was more of a statement than a question. She glanced over at Fireheart. "It involves the two of you."
The ThunderClan deputy made a thoughtful sound. She blinked and turned her head at feeling a brush at her flank. She nodded and offered Thunderclaw a tiny smile, letting him know that she caught his meaning. She returned her attention to Mothstar. "I believe there are faults on both sides. We all ought to talk things through, but for now I think we should tend to the injured," she cast a glance at Thunderclaw and nodded her head at Mangoberry's leg.

Mangoberry seemed to lift his head in a defiant manner. "I said nothing about a she-cat? Do not assume two toms can not fight about something without a She-cat in the mix. That is such a she cat way to think." Mangoberry snorted trying to sound convincing. For the most part he did, but it could also be taken as he was putting up defenses.
The fact that Fernpelt was a traitor could not get out. There would be no point in him claiming the kits as his. He couldn't tell Fernpelt's kits live a life torn between clans. He would not let Fernpelt be punished, he had to figure out some way to keep them off track.

Fawnfur sniffed impatiently at Mangoberry's outburst. "Alright, fine. Then two toms were fighting over a particularly tantalizing little vole or a nice shiny fish. Ooh yeah. I see it now. Now, I may not get the truth from you, but I will speak to Fireheart and things will be sorted out." She lowered her voice to just above a whisper. "Look, I know you are not of my clan, but I am capable of handling things with discretion. If it is something private it will go with me when I go to StarClan. You have my word as a deputy. Understand?"
She gave a little sigh and looked around. She hopped Thunderclaw would be okay and that he had made it to the medicine cat den with little trouble. That would looked pretty bad, but she had seen worse. He was a strong tom. He could handle it.
