Spira watched him warily, deciding she really had no choice but to trust him. She was in a place she knew nothing of, for one. She shushed Sadger's hissing and followed him, ready to move in an instant if she needed to.

The uniformed man led her to a large building with many windows on it. he led her up to the desk and said a line in a tone implying that he knew it too well.
"welcome to west sector registry. for your safety and the safety of others, please write down your name, date, age, and sector of origin. we thank you for your time and please enjoy your stay in West Sector."

Spira felt an uneasiness work at her, but she wrote it anyway.
Spira Kiran No idea Seventeen. Maybe. East
Sadger prowled back and forth on her shoulders, hissing at random passersby. Spira glanced at the man who'd led her here, letting him know that he could lead her on now.

The woman at the counter sighed, "Crud, east... alright, we'll have to verify now for age and birthdate..."
The man nodded, "follow me upstairs please. the sooner this is done the sooner you can have a temporary residence..." He headed up a spiral staircase with glass siding. Everything here was clean and orderly, a far cry from the grunge and dirt of the East Sector. This place was thriving, but seemed to be more bright and open. there were no places for anyone to hide, but everyone seemed pretty happy. from the second floor windows, it showed that the southwest was the only part with a division wall, to the north, instead of the massive wall that East sported, there was a park with two buildings in it. beyond that, the mage-spires of North sector could barely be made out. a car silently zipped by the window, floating in the air, as opposed to the dirty loud wheeled machines that were used on the opposite side. On the street many people walked, some even relaxing on benches. Law officers, like the one leading her, ignored them, whereas in the East, anyone caught lounging was shot or dragged to the citadel by the cops.
"Come along to this desk here... we just need a small blood sample for medical purposes and to validate your paperwork... we'll take care of everything else." the man said. He said it with a nice tone, but it seemed obviously part of a routine of some sort.

Spira was amazed by the cleanliness and happiness of the West. She wasn't used to anything even close to this. They let her p***k her with a needle, and she didn't even notice. She was a little worried about the fact of where to hide, but didn't let it bother her. She felt like she was safe here.

"Don't care as long as it's not by the lake," she said instantly. "What's my real birthday?" Her eyes almost the color of molten gold stared him down. "And shall we get going?"

"Right then. We'll be taking the rail." The officer walked up to the third floor. up there was a terminal, with a large clock and a list of arrivals and departures. the monorail line went straight through the center of the building. A walkway on either end of the station allowed people to get to the other side, where the aroma of tasty food cooking wafted from. on the other side was a food court with multiple restaurants and many tables. "Erm, Your train won't be arriving until thirty minutes, so would you like some lunch?" he asked, in his friendly tone he'd used the entire time. As he reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, the word "Defenders" could be made out in silver on his wallet.

"Can I get the grease off of me first?" she asked. She scratched Sadger behind the ears leisurely. She watched as he pulled out his wallet, the letters glinting at her. "Defenders?" she asked, looking back up at him curiously.

"Okay, you can use the restroom, but there aren't any showers to use yet..." He smiled when she asked 'defenders.'
"Ah, yes. The Defenders! That is the name of the defense force of West Sector. The North Sector is the Guardians. You probably know of Xurichner's Army, or Xerelos' Warriors... We keep the peace and make sure everyone is safe from crime and other sectors."
