1) I am liking the details on Princess Elise too. smile I quite agree that I am being reminded of the Sonic OAV plot. O_o
2) The gunning I didn't mind in ShTH, but vehicles were pointless. Perhaps they ought to put in a little something to actually do with the vehicle...such as plowing through a barrier that can't be broken on spindashing and bombing alone.
3) Now looking at the complete design of the white hedgehog...I think they should ditch making him a hedgehog and turn him into a wolf. Somehow, that design looks more wolfish to me. Not to mention it reminds me of a hedgehog-ified Inuyasha... O.o
Overall, I am feeling more attracted to the plot. eek I don't think I want to pass this up. I'm wondering if this will ever make it to the Wii at all, because that's the next-gen console I will most likely be getting.

Force the hedgehogs to slow down because the vehicle does something that they can't replicate? I like that idea - it actually comes off as plausible. I'm not sure about a wolf (I'd like to hear more of the character's backstory before deciding what species I think he'd be better as), but another bloomin' hedgehog just comes off as lazy unless we're going to have some sort of trinity formed by the three of them.

I was thinking about the trinity of hedgehogs, too. It seems Shadow's the weapons and vehicle guy, the new hedgehog will probably be the mystical one (since he was able to turn the robot's attacks back on it) and Sonic... is the Iblis Trigger, which probably just means "stronger than the others". Or something.
I was surprised that they're bringing back the vehicles too, since they weren't all that well-received. I think they should do something to make the vehicles useful too, and it seems that he only has these abilities to make him different from Sonic and not much else. I think it would be interesting if Shadow decided he didn't want to use his powers anymore (or to a far lesser extent than he's demonstrated), which would explain why he uses weapons and vehicles instead.
I do like the look of the Princess though, and Eggman... well, I suppose I'll learn to like him. I like wackiness, but serious villianry from the good doctor should be refreshing, like how he was in the original games and in SA/2.
As for some of the other stuff in the trailer... that water level Sonic was jumping around looks really cool, and that giant... fire thingy reminds me of Perfect Chaos.

Heh, I didn't even notice Elise's resemblence to Sera before...^^;...
Sigh, I'd like to comment on voices and all, but this friggin computer won't even play the trailer...errggh...
Were they in Jp. or English? And, I'm assuming we'll have to make do with the 4Kids voice actors once again?

But Eggman did the majority of the talking, so that was good, and the new hedgehog was talking about finding the Iblis Trigger. He sounds okay... for the one line they give him anyway. The video is up on YouTube.com so you could probably see it there, if the website was giving you trouble. 3nodding

The game is lookin' awesome so far. I wasn't too pleased seeing Shadow with the whole 'jeep' thing, but hopefully it'll be an optional thing.
And appearently the white hedgehog's name is Silver. Hoozah. whee
