Back to the water. She stopped making her patterns and rested her head on her paws - one of top of the other for height - and turned her face sideways somewhat so she could breathe. Part of the pool. She imagined that. She was surrounded by water, the water was surrounded by rock, which was surrounded by earth...and eventually she was surrounded by the whole Pridelands. And in them and just beyond them lived some of her family, and far above them in the stars the rest of them.
Tufah sighed. Gave up for today.

Huh? Simi glided over towards Tufah, slowly, and a bit nervously as he shortened the distance between them. Was she upset by something? That was how it seemed, but it made him worry. Was there more that he didn't know about, stuff that was bothering her this much? His imagination could run wild all day, so he tightly shut it off in his brain. He might as well as before he panicked.
"Is something wrong, Tufah?" He slid right up next to her, searching for her face while trying to not seem too pushy.

"Mm. I'm fine. Just giving up for today." She got to her paws, and reached over to rub her face against his neck/shoulder before turning away.
He was far too innocent and unsuspecting at times. It was tiring. One of the rogues she used to let admire her or even quite a few Pridelander males would have cottoned on and persued her. Maybe she should give up on the greater plan and just aim for a useful friend in Simi. Maybe maybe...by tommorrow she'd be scheming again but today she was just content with her pride and her family around her.
"I'm going to go catch some sun over there. Let me know when you're done swimming - might go on a hunt for lunch and you're welcome to join me. Can get you that fur rug."

Giving up? Simi...didn't understand. He felt like he did something wrong, though.
He hovered in the water as she rubbed against him, feeling....a bit upset, in all honesty. There was something that Tufah was saying between her words, but he couldn't decipher them. Frusterating, really!
"Alright, then," he replied. He would hover in the water for a bit longer before pulling himself out, giving his body a good shake to rid himself of most of the water.
He watched Tufah for another moment before flopping on one of the rocks himself, to let his fur dry out a bit before he would return back to the majority of the pride. He wouldn't want to be a wet, sloppy mess in front of everyone.
