He wasn't sure of her silence, but he let it slide. She'd answer when she wanted to, something forced was usually never true. He's probably confused her too.
Hakyoku gave a nod and let her speak. Course he hadn't meant to insult her. "I thought so," he muttered before raising his brow, so she had figured it out. Hakyoku couldn't help but smile.
"Half demon actually." he corrected, but he did understand were she was coming from. "Yes I know it well being half make's it that much harder."

Yes, it would be a lie to be prideful, and denying that her 'status' played any part in her behavior. She could probably have the chance to look at a picture of her old self, her alive self. And not recognize who it is. The femme held this belief as she watched the demon before her, giving a faint smile. As if there were no burdens to consider at all.
Ears perked thinking she heard wrong. "Come again?" Half demon....then that meant his family was of mixed heritage. A non-demon was in the mix. Dulled eyes removed themselves from te other kitsu as Setsu moved once again to the side. "Yes. It does seem that being in-between two wholes is...unacceptable." She scoffed emptily, as if the topic was humorous in some fashion.
Some time spent in quiet, as if everything was in thoughtful pause. "...Call yourself what you want. Friend, enemy. I won't determine that."

"Half demon," he repeated calmly. It seemed both of them were a taboo of sorts against nature. The dead should never be raised, and half demons shouldn't be bred, as it was a mortal sin. Thus was the reason Hakyou was hardly around.
She, one of the undead, in-between the boundary of life and death; Like him but not. He was alive. Hakyoku felt the sun had risen before he saw it, a bright glare from the corner of his peripheral vision made him notice the sun above the trees.
Hakyoku gave a gentle nod. "Perhaps I shall see you again then?" he asked with a slight bow to the femme kitsu.
“I have yet to inquire as to your name,” he said realizing he had yet to receive her name. He'd rather not part without her name.

Eyes gleamed over in only what morning light could do, almost giving the illusion of life behind eyes. Setsu remained quiet, absorbing the discovery of the night. It felt so surreal, like having met a ghost. Demons and their half-blood offspring, very rare. And yet she was truly surprised how mannered the other was. Much more so compared to others she'd met.
Blink. Setsu looked to the dark hued demon, nodding softly. "Perhaps. In the cover of night sky, most likely." Head canted to the bow, and the femme bothered with her own flinch of one. "My name?" Had she really not given it yet...she couldn't remember. "It's Setsu." And for once, she held no hesitation or aggitation in saying her title.

His well-mannered nature had come from protecting and being protected, his family loving and accepting and never scornful. And he was protecting his siblings the same way. Even though outside was filled with scorn and hate for what he was there was always his family even though he distanced himself.
Hakyoku was glad she would accept them meeting again. He nodded in return; true it would be underneath the dark of night. "Farewell Setsu," he said "Until night then." He turned away and headed back to the forest as the sun rose higher.
