"Or ya can just do that I s'ppose," he said, hopping off the very last rung of the ladder. "It's just this way, not too far," he said, walking down the pitch black passage. "Uh... mind if I ask ya why ya want ta help us? I mean... we're humans... we weren't all that nice to yer kind."

Ears twitched as the boy returned. The wolf didn't open his eyes through and kept his face away from the fire. Since the boy had gone for fish, the fire had dried Nine well enough. The white clothing he wore was still wet and stained red where he'd been wounded. The bloodflow had slowed and could barely be seen against the rest of the blood there. Nothing, apart from the twitch of the ears and the bare rise and fall of the chest, gave away any indication of life.
Harlem shrugged and more strands of hair fell into his face. "People scared me, so I left. I never get far and they usually stop me from leaving though..." The man pouted a little. He didn't like being lost. Why hadn't anyone stopped him from leaving this time? Oh, he wanted to be home.

The bird stood and waited at the bottom til the other arrived, looking at him and noddedg a bit, bothered by the darkness around them. his hands quickly afterwards lit aflame, and he lifted them so he could see more clearly, the light extending quite a few feet.
The boy sat quiet for a ittle while before he gently patt the other to wake him up, figuring he was asleep"heyt, food is done" he said sweetly, handing him three of the speared, now cooked fish, smiling gently."here, you have these three. i'm smaller, so i don't need as much. that and you're hurt, you need t get your strength back"

Nine sniffed and opened one golden eye. He glanced at the fish and then back up at the boy before pushing himself off the ground. A small hiss escaped and he pressed down on his wound a little more. The wolf sniffed once again before taking one of the three cooked fish offered to him. One more cautionary sniff and then he took a small bite out of it.

Terra jumped back at the sudden light, knocking his head against the bars of the ladder. "Ow...." he groaned, automatically reaching up to the knot on his head. "Wh-what is that!?!?" he managed to stammer.
"So... you don't even know where you live... this could prove difficult then," he spoke his thoughts out loud. "At least we do know that you live in this town, correct?"

The man nodded and shifted from one foot to the other. He kept his eyes down, no sure what to do. Fingers knitted together at the front of his teddy and wide eyes looked up at the other, the embarrassment, fear and anxiety he felt clear in them.

"fire" he looked back a him and blinked slightly, seeming puzzled as to why the other didn't know."my species is infused with the spirit of fire." he said simply."so, in a sense, we are fire, but there are other cretaures that are infused with fire." he said simply"like pheonixes anfd dragons."
he giggled slightly at how cautious the wolf was, smiling"am i really that untrustworthy?" he asked, his voice soft.

The wolf looked up at the human before looking back down. "...All humans are untrustworthy." Nine murmured and leaned in to take another bite. He chewed and swallowed before adding. "I prefer meat raw."

The wolf shrugged. " 'S fine." He didn't want to admit that he hadn't been paying much attention, mainly because of the bloodloss. Besides, he was sure his stomach could suffer through the taste of cooked meat for one day.

Terra slowly nodded. He knew what fire was... but the fact that he could create it so easilly while the rest of him and his gang were fighting for every piece of tinder they could find. "I... I know what it is.... I... just didn't think you could create it," he said, trying to give off more confidence than he had.
Truance saw the "child's" fear. "I am sure we can find it. I am in no hurry to go anywhere in particular," he said with a large smile. His driver scoffed at him, since it was a rather important gathering, and he was, after all, the guest of honor.

"Really?" Harlem looked up at the man properly, instead of down at the ground or his teddy. "You'll really help me?" Now that he thought about it, he'd be in trouble if he didn't get back soon. What would they do, if they realized he left? Aiya...

he nodded"we are able to create fire as we please"he said simply, holding out the hand to light the way, walking beside the other and looking around carefuly
the boy sat quietly for a few moments, watching the oter before humming gently to himself, sort of to entertain himself while he other ate. he swayed back and fourth, then side to side, staring at the moon as it slid upwards in the sky, then something cought his eye. he thought it did, at least. there appeared to be someone, or possibly something, that was hiding away, watching him."hmm..? hello?"he called gently, standing himself up and heading twards what he'd seeen hidden away in the dark.

Terra led Scylla down a large amount of passageways. It was more of a maze than an unused sewer. But finally they reached a large wooden door, "This is it." His pale skin was only illuminated more so by the quavering light.
Truance nodded to the boy. "Yes... but isn't there anything you remember about your home? Anything could be helpful," he said, almost pleadingly.

Nine frowned when the human started talking to himself. The wolf snorted and bit into the last of the first fish before he forced himself to stand. He couldn't straighten due to the injury and the pain filled his head, but he endured it as he walked over to the boy as best he could. One hand kept itself pressed into his side and his tail swished back and forth slightly, with an ear swiveling around to catch any sound. He glanced between the boy and where his gaze was directed at. "What are you doing...?"
Harlem pressed his lips together and frowned a little, trying to remember whatever he could about his home. "It's...dark. And there's a ladder there too. Um... A hole in the ground." Harlem pouted at that, a little annoyed at his own memory. "...I'm sorry. I don't remember much more."
