It wasn't that a succubus and Sarvanick had some trouble finding Katiana...it was that the two weren't exactly getting along as best friends...which hampered the process a little.

Though after some long searching...there was a diplomat, coming out of a store with a new dagger balancing on her finger.

"Mistresssssss!!!!" Alruna flew/ran and hugged her mistress tightly. "I was so worried looking all over for you 'cause you are in such a dangerous place and the child and oh goddddd!!!"

Katiana blinked. A few times. Saw Sarvanick, and then turned back to Alruna. "Oh...so you're finally all evolved and such..." Blinked again. "Worried about me?"

Alruna was now nuzzling, purring and cooing as she fawned a bit over her mistress, making sure she was all right. "Yes, worried about you! I couldn't find you and now here you are!"

"Good to see you Katiana," Sarvanick said. "Been a while."

"Yes it has," she replied.

"So...that's yours?" Sarvanick asked, pointing to the purring succubus. Gawd she was being cling.

"Alruna...I call her Runa from time to time though," Katiana replied. "Yes, she's mine. Was just a flower when I found her..."

"I see...well no, not really..." he said. "And hows..."

"The baby? Fine," Katiana said, patting her belly. Or tried to, ended up patting Runa's hand.

"Well, I know you can't drink...but do you want to get something to eat and catch up a bit?" he asked.

"Sure. Then I gotta pick up Yuko's kid and head back to Verbabonc...I got a Geas there...its a long story. I'll tell you over lunch," Katiana offered. It was amazing how it looked and seemed like Alruna's fawning cooing and cuddles weren't really phazing her from having a normal conversation.

"Let's go then," Sarvanick said. Well, his day just got brighter. "Did you leave Munothu back there then? In Verbabonc wherever you are?"

"Yeah...he's probably training some, its a new place for him to explore and all," Katiana said.

And lunch would be had by all. 8D

Runa attracted a lot of attention as the small group walked on towards their other destination, to pick up Machika Hizurumi, the daughter of Yuko and Auron. Katiana didn't know the whole details, just that she wanted to come along and promised to behave.

Yuki, the twin brother of Machika had already struck out to adventure which is why he was allowed to come along, but Machika had stayed at home, unsure of when to leave, now wanting to come out and be with her brother. The twins usually had never been separated for very long amounts of time.

Upon arriving at the humble and oddly modest home of the Hizurumis, Katiana was the one to knock on the door. "Hello?"

"Coming! Ooof!" The sounds of someone tripping could be heard before the door unlatched and a small girl Yuki's height and size appeared with bright eyes and long black hair. "Katiana!" She latched onto the pregnant woman with a smile and a giggle. "Its good to see you!"

"Good to see you too," Katiana said. "You've gotten bigger!" She smiled down at the small child. "Are you and the eggs ready to go?"

"Yup, Mom gave me a Tensers wand so I have them all settled on a disk ready to go!" Machika said. "Oh...um...who're all you?"

"That's Sei, Sarvanick and my succubus Alruna, but you can call her Runa for short," Katiana said, introducing. "Sarvanick won't be coming along to Verb...will you?" She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Nope, sorry. I got a mission tomorrow," he said.

"Shame but good luck," she said to her old friend.

"Same to you. You don't want to loose the kid, do you?" he asked, putting his hands on his hips. "Just be safe, though what you're doing for the kid is good and all..."

"If I see an aspect of Tiamet there...I'm going to throw a fit," Katiana said. "Anyways, if Machika is ready...we should head out."

"Oh, how're we getting there?" Machika asked.

"Granny," Katiana said. "Offered to gate us back."

"Oh."

"Are we ready to go?"

"Yes!" Machika said.

"All right, then lets go," Katiana said. "Come on Runa...want to at least see us off Sarvanick?"

"Sure thing. Its been a while since I've had grandma's cookies."

"Grandma's cookies?" Runa asked. Katiana and Sarvanick shared a smile and a laugh. In Highfolk, Grandma's cookies were legend.

((Final post mebbe 'fore we wait for Don and Chris to catch up timewise 'gain))

They arrived at Volmyrith but not before running into a familiar face. Someone Sarvanick hated and Katiana didn't mind so much, after all, he was the father of her unborn child.

"M'lady Katiana, good to see you again!" he said, walking up and taking her hand, kissing the back of it. "Oh my...you are getting bigger aren't you."

"You're not a face I expected to really ever see again," she said, musing over her words. "And yes, I am, and I'm keeping as healthy as possible for my child...well our child but you know I don't expect you to do anything."

"We are members of the same clan Katiana, it is impossible for us not to see each other at least on occasion," he pointed out. She couldn't argue with that point at least. "You do look simply glowing. Hard to imagine that my one night showing you such pleasures would end up as this."

She blushed. She didn't really think they had gotten much if any sleep that night. "Well all it does take is one night," she replied. "And I don't mind. I keep telling people, I was either going to get myself extremely wasted...or get laid. I needed one or the other."

"Pffft, so that's all I was, just a simple one night stand choice?" he asked. He looked 'wounded' for lack of a better word.

"No, no, nothing like that at all. Well, a little, but at the time, you didn't mind it either. You were offering and I just accepted the offer."

He took a step closer and Katiana had to look at Runa to make sure she stayed back and didn't interfere. Runa was protective of her mistress, that was certain. Heldeng's hand came up and rested on her stomach. It really wasn't that big at this point, but there still was a bit of a bump.

"I know. It was just a one night fling. Though it was one I won't be forgetting anytime soon," he said with a chuckle. "And you'll be a good mother to our future son or daughter...I know I'm not going to be much of a father, but I'd like to visit sometimes if I may...to see her."

Katiana looked genuinely surprised. "Really?"

"I at least would like the child to know his or her real father," he said. "If you say no, I mean, I know I'll understand. Who want's their child to know about their father being a womanizer..."

Katiana smiled. "Its all right. You can come and visit him or her when they're born. I'd rather they know their real father than ask questions later." Even though she might end up with Sei or Legion, or neither she still wouldn't mind Heldeng knowing his child and his child knowing him.

"Really?" He pulled Katiana into a quick embrace and gave her a light kiss on the lips. "Thank you."

"No trouble, at all," she said.

"So where are you heading off to?" he asked.

"Back to Verbabonc," she explained. "I was 'asked' to go there."

"Long story?" he asked.

She nodded. "Very much so."

"Then I wish you the best of luck. Stay safe and don't overwork yourself. I know in my gut you won't let anything happen to the child," he said.

"Of course," she replied, smiling.

"I'll see you later," he said and disappeared into the crowd once more.

((Okay, mebbe one more post... ))

It had been a longish day. Time to return. Hugging Sarvanick goodbye and taking Runa by the chains, if she had to, she made her way back to Grandma, who cast the spell for them to return home. Wasn't much more to it than that.

They'd make it back probably a few minutes before the celebrations would start, meeting up with everyone else while they would all be waiting for things to begin, and for Donovan and Chris to get back from whatever they were doing.

(( {Blows dust off thread.} I'ma be using this then, yush? ))

Legion had found his way to the right... world at least. Not quite the right area though. Definitely the right way for some old memories... Bardic memories actually. With due caution, he opted to stay put in the meantime, trying to remember the right path he needed to take. "Now was it a right or left at Albuquerque?" Legion privately chuckled.

His pigeon arrived in due time, vexed at being summoned in such a form. "The things I do for you. You could have at least given me a more fearsome form... Would a wyvern have been too much to ask?" It was in tatters, feathers sprawled and frayed all over its body. It was evidence of some sort of unwanted encounter.

Legion smiled softly. "You know I love you," he said with sarcasm, "Go back to sleep brother. Thank you." A few gestures to dissipate the summons.

"Human huh? You didn't trade all that power for much. What a horrible deal. Good luck." The dove faded away in place, yawning, as Legion turned to double back on track.

--------------

Highfolk huh? He managed to get there, but it was obvious he was lost from the start. He stood there at the gate, musing over his plan of attack. "Right. Now. How to go about this? Perhaps I'll just ask around for Heldeng... Someone is bound to know him."

He was tried from the trek not to mention feeling sick. He probably shouldn't be doing this. Legion felt like a desperate stalker. What would he say anyways? He searched for a tree in which to regurgitate on. Maybe he should head back. For now, he was busy controlling his gag reflex.

A slightly dirty looking elf approached him. He had leaves in his hair and looked like he'd slept in a tree. "You all right there? Look like you're gonna be sick..." He had curly hair and a mythril breastplate on, with an elven courtblade on one side of his hip.

(( xD Yay! Made use of old thread >_> ))

There wasn't much to say, mostly because Legion feared if he said something, it would all come out. There was a brief moment in which he pondered whether there would have been blood, but a growl from his stomach said otherwise.

He had forgotten, without a doubt, that he now needed food at regular intervals. His body was probably digesting things it should not. So after moment to strengthen his resolve, he looked up to the man who offered some care. "I am, I suppose." He replied. Starvation was a sort of sickness was it not? "Famished actually. I forget to eat sometimes, until its much too late."

Legion however, waved it off. "In any case, I will be fine. Thank you." Gazing the elf over, his attire and the leaves that glazed his hair in an earthy fashion, Legion inquired, "Would you happen to be a town guard by chance? Or perhaps a well seasoned adventurer in the area?" There was the chance he was a dryad too. Leaves and all that... but there was doubt about that. If the man before him was neither, Legion would rather look elsewhere.

"There's a town nearby if you're looking for food," he said. His voice sounded a bit rough around the edges if not kind. A good friend of his had imposed manners on him a while back.

"I'm Sarvanick, one of the Rangers on patrol in the Vesve. Who are you?" He looked around, seeming to make sure that Legion was alone.
PostPosted: Sun May 09, 2010 7:05 pm

That would suffice! Appearances and voice alike, anyone would do who could help. "My name is Legion. I'm just a passerby looking for... " Legion scratched his head in thought. How safe was it to mention Katiana's job? What did Heldeng do? Geeze, looking for people is hard. "Either an elven woman who goes by Katiana, or an elven man who goes by Heldeng... I really don't know how common names are here."

A hand held to his stomach to ease the hunger pangs, he continued. "The latter would be preferred. Guesstimates are that Heldeng got stuck with child duty and food would be great at the moment." Legion spaced for a moment, lost in the thought of food. He shook his head when he snapped out of it. "Uh... Anyways! Pleased to meet you, Sarvanick."

"Katiana? As in Ambassador Katiana Nahalim Kudryo?" There were half a dozen titles he could stick on, but he wasn't going to do it. "What's your business with her? She's a friend of mine, we adventured together a few years back..."
PostPosted: Sun May 09, 2010 7:53 pm

"Yup. That's her." Legion nodded. Lucky break. It was horribly hard to find people by just name, not to mention someone who knew the person too.

"Well..." Legion scratched his head again. Really what was his business? Didn't she want to be alone? Ugh, he had another sick feeling. It was mix between his uncertainty and his hunger. "I'm not quite too sure yet... Which is why I'd prefer the latter if you know him too." sweatdrop Legion's such a creeper.

"I'll take you to Highfolk," Sarvanick said. "And to our clan. I think Katiana said she was staying there. I was getting hungry myself, and wouldn't mind spending time with Kish. Never thought Katiana would have a baby, but she's an unique one. Have you seen her burp up acid yet?"
PostPosted: Sun May 09, 2010 8:29 pm

"I never usually do well with children... but I have..." One of those lurking moments he endeared... only because children were cute. "I'll commit the path to memory, thank you for your guidance." A quick bow of thanks to Sarvanick.

"Neither do I, and I didn't figure her for a mother either. So by the looks of it, you're one of her friends from the other world she goes to eh?" he asked. "She talked about that place fondly. Its a second home to her."

"And its no trouble at all. Though if you're here to do ill, I'll be stopping you," he said. "I guarded Katiana through a lot, we've been through a lot together...while we might not be travel companions as much anymore...I still will protect her."
