One of the girls in our house loves talking and often times we will both sit down to read only to both start blabbing away about her time in India razz We need to stay apart if we ever plan on reading!

@Ninja mae cat: Ooh, that's happened to me before. I'm rereading something, and I go, "Where's the part with such-and-such..." and it doesn't ever pop up, and turns out to be my imagination because of what was going on around me at the time. gonk Then again, I do it when asleep if I turn on the TV; ever fall asleep watching the History Channel? Pretty strange dreams XD

I hate hate HATE being interrupted when I'm reading, even if what I'm reading isn't a book. It kills my concentration. D;
If possible, I got to a quiet place to do book rading, but even then, peopel come up to me and start pestering me about something or other. Why do they think I go to a quiet area in the first place? gonk

It happens to me all the time. I can't stand it. >_<
Normally, it's underclassmen who bother me, because I too have a few mixed classes. (I'm a junior.)
Every now and then if I don't pay attention to my friend when she's talking and glance at the book, she'll take it away from me until she's finished. D:

I'm a master at ignoring background noise. I'm probably TOO good because people often need to say my name multple times before it'll register that someone is speaking to me. As a result, loud people are never a problem.
People almost never bother me by trying to start a conversation when I'm reading in public. Maybe I simply give off that "I'm in intense concentration mode" vibe. When people ask what the book I'm reading is about I'm usually EAGER to tell them because my friends and relatives don't discuss books with me as often as I'd like.

Kaizoku-sama [love] The whole "what are you reading" thing doesn't bother me too much. Usually, I just lift my book up so that whoever asked can see the spine. I just don't like it when people try to start talking to me while I'm reading about...random crap. Not to say I'm not a social person, but when I'm reading...*gah!* Almost same. It depends on who it is whether or not I answer their questions or just hold up the cover. "What're your reading" and "Is it any good/do you reccomend" I don't mind. I do it too sometimes, but then instead of forcing annoying conversation, I say "Ok, byes!" and leave them be to their little reading world. "What's it about" is irritating while I'm reading though -___-

I mostly don't even notice people who try to talk to me while I'm reading. If someone wants to know what it is, I hold the book up. If they try to discuss it with me, I just say, "Not done yet." That usually shuts them up. However, there are those who, in order to force a conversation, try to take the book away. Those who try to take the book away...well, they never try again.
