"But that's how i've always done things." She'd always done whatever stallions wanted, or even other mares if they were better than her. She had never known it any other way.

"But ...." She chewed her lip as she thought about that. She wouldn't be able to tell him to bugger off every time she didn't want to do something. That just wasn't fair. He should get to do the things he wanted even if she wasn't all that keen on them.

"But what, lass?" His eyes lingered on her as he watched the tell-tale sign of gears turning within her head. It was always entertaining to get her to this point in a situation. It was almost as if she just might speak her mind for once.

"... i couldn't do that. It wouldn't be nice to say." She scrunched her nose and shook her head. "and ... and i'm not going to be mean just because you told me to."
Maybe, maybe she could eventually work up the courage to tell him no about something, or that maybe they could find something else to do, but she'd never be able to tell him to 'bugger off'.

Her nose scrunched as she thought about responding to that and then thought better of it. They'd just had the talk about how she thought that if he wanted to do something she should just go along with it and how he disagreed with that. It wouldn't do any good to say it again

"I see that little wrinkle of your nose." His smirk was nearly a grin as he leaned in, touching his nose lightly to hers before pulling back again. "There seems to be a thought in your mind about that... I suppose it might help to say that, when one gets down to it, we have a good bit in common as to what we enjoy doing so it isn't an inconvenience at all to do those things with you."
