She looked up and back over to him. "Those who expect everything to fall into their little box .... they aren't worth it." She shook her head. "What did they have against you? That you had something they didn't? That you were better than they were?"
She looked up toward the clouds. "Shouldn't let their talk get to you big boy. You seem strong and smart enough to deal with them"

"Mm... That I was a freak. A mutant... Something unnatural." He shook his head slowly, letting his gaze follow theirs. "I stopped letting it bother me when I left. My wings have carried me places that they've only dreamed of... But that doesn't mean narrow minds stop in one small place."

She tossed her head and laughed for a moment. "Anyone who calls you a freak or a mutant is just jealous of what they don't have or too egotistical to admit that they dont understand and wont take the time to."

"Either that or they're afraid of what's different than they are... As most seem to be. They don't like it when someone is closer to what they want to be and can achieve greater things..." He shook his head slowly, closing his eyes for a moment. "It's the same reason why you've got some out there who think they're better because their wings are made of leather... Or because they have horns. Happens with all kinds."

"Oh yes, those sorts." She rolled her eyes. "I'm such a little delicate flower because i don't have anything to defend myself with. Poor pitiful me." A good kick to the kneecaps did far more good than a set of horns in her expierence.
"I'll stick with being plain borring me. Makes it so much more interesting when i can prove myself to be better at what i do than someone who's got supposedly better equipment than i do."

What one lacks could be their strength just as much as someone else views it as a weakness... Take you, for example. No wings, no horn or horns... Bet you're a fast runner."

"Generally i'd think so." She nodded. "Have to be fast if you want to keep up with anything in this world." She could kick pretty well too when it came down to it. "I dont have to keep leg muscles light weight so i can life myself off the ground after all"

"Do I look like I worry about keeping muscles light enough to lift off the ground?" He couldn't help but smirk as he looked to her for a moment before taking a step back away from the stream. "Probably a good thing my wings are abnormally large when compared to other winds."
