Domani giggled at the boy's dazedness while Elisa rolled her eyes, "Close enough," She grinned. She leaned back, with her side casually resting on her friend's upright knee. Domani adjusted so it was comfortable for them both, silently watching the clouds as they rolled lazily by, wondering how it would be to be a bat and fly among them. She didn't think bird because she could not become a bird so her instincts went straight to bat.
Elisa fiddled with her shirt, wishing she could hear what was being said. Domani could, if she transformed into a dog or something similar but transforming with a wound probably was not the best for the wound and might hurt like hell. Her own transformation was much different, keeping the same structure but Domani's was much more.... bendy and stretchy inside.
"So, what does a native Hawaiian boy do when he's not allowed to leave his trainer's lawn?" Elisa asked, hoping he would have some suggestions for them. She was content with just sitting and chatting with Domani but Daniel was there and it would be different.
Domani stopped herself before her daydreaming turned into transformation (Ow) and turned back to the long haired boy, curious as a cat. And Elisa.

Daniel plopped down on the ground next to Domani and Elisa, the same smile brightening across his features. "For now, anyway." He was trying very hard not to think about what was going on just behind them, what secrets he may not get to know because he hadn't tried to follow them in. It was much harder than he'd thought. He stretched his arms a bit to keep them from relaxing too much before finally sitting in a comfortable, relaxed position.
Daniel thought about the question one of the two girls presented. "Usually I leave anyway." Indeed, he did occasionally get in trouble for leaving some place he wasn't supposed to move away from -but most of the time, Kimo was relaxed enough not to care much about what he did. But in this case, his mentor's anger might actually be geniune. Though he hadn't seen many times when Kimo was honestly, truly angry, he did know that it was... Scary. And that was a lot, coming from what his definition of frightening was. "But in this case, I guess we'll just have to wait it out." However much he wanted to be back in the surf, with two tourists in tow, one with only one working leg, he wouldn't get very far. "As boring as it is." He sighed.

Elisa rolled her eyes, "Why thank you for those wonderful suggestions." Domani giggled at the sarcasm, "Diego wouldn't tolerate us running off anyway." Elisa nodded, twiddling her thumbs unconsciously and stopping when she realized.
It was silent between the two girls for several seconds before Domani realized that Elisa was probably trying to reason through what was being said in the house. She never was a people person and she did not care overly much what this Daniel thought of her. But she decided not to daydream, which was her typical response to boredom, just in case. And, as tempting as daydreaming was right now, she wanted to stick by her decision. So she had to make conversation to distract herself from daydreaming.
"So, how is it being an Evo apprentice for so long?" She asked Daniel. She could have asked Elisa but she probably would try to emphasize the good parts and not the bad. She figured Daniel could assuage her curiosity.

Daniel shrugged before laughing slightly. "Sorry, it's all I've got." He neglected to mention the fact that had they not been there, he probably would be doing something else by this point. "Yeah, I can see him being slightly against that." He and Kimo were completely different, after all. Complete opposites in his mind.
He was quiet when neither of the other two decided to speak, taking to look up at the nice, clear sky. Domani's question snapped him back into reality. His head looked back down with a huge smile. "If you and your mentor work well together, it's amazing. I've known Kimo so long that I have a closer bond with him than I do either of my parents, however odd that is. By this point, we both know the other pretty well. But once in a while, we do fight about things, most of the time really stupid arguments that shouldn't even take place. He always has my best interest in mind, though."

Domani laughed, "That's not surprising, actually. I haven't seen my parents in..." She paused. She'd been with Diego and Elisa for a week or so now, even though it felt like longer. But when she was in that one place, she had no idea how long she spent there. And she did not much feel like counting back the days, "A while," She settled on. "Besides, Kimo knows who you are. Do your parents?" She was curious if the parents knew or not. How would it work, keeping a secret about your very existence, from your parents?

During her pause, Daniel thought that he might actually get to know just how long she'd been with her mentors. No such luck, however, and he merely let it drop there. No use pursuing some topic that wasn't relevant. "My parents..." He trailed off, thinking about how to explain it so that it was understandable. "They know what I can do, but they think that I'm a lot less developed than I seem. They still think that all I can do is this." He motioned with one of his fingers and set a miniscule flame atop it before blowing it out. "They just think I'm a delinquent." He said with a smile. "If my mom knew where I really was this morning, she'd probably have a heart attack."

Domani tilted her head, "So where do they think you were this morning? Selling cocaine or something?" She was curious as to how much of a delinquent they thought he was. Wouldn't they try to get help for their son or something if they thought he did drugs or robbed stores or something? "And what do they think Kimo is?"
Elisa kept looking at that house, curious as to what was going on inside. She could join the conversation around her but parents were not all that important. She'd been with Diego for much longer than Domani had been and that was really all that mattered. And what was going on in that house. "Anyone want to go take a look at what's going inside or am I the only one with the longing?" She asked out in the blue.
((What say you we have a look-see at what's going on inside?))

Daniel laughed at the thought. "They'd probably kill me for that, too. They probably think I'm out messing with tourists." Which technically wasn't exactly off the mark. "You guys are fine, but around here, we've see the worst of the worst. It's not a stretch to think I'd want to get them back." As for what they thought Kimo was, he wasn't exactly sure. But he had a clue. "They probably think he's the one positive influence in my life. And that's he's trying to dissuade me from whatever bad things I plan on doing today."
He'd been distracted from their conversation, but Elisa's question brought him back to his previous wonders. He thought he'd escaped his curiosity, but it seemed he wasn't going to get out of it so easily. "More than anything." He replied shortly.

Domani shrugged. It seemed to her that if a true delinquent had any positive influence, the delinquent would not want to spend so much time with it. But parents were strange when it came to rules and such. A pang pulled at her heart as she thought of her parents, back in Venice, wondering just where their daughter was.
She did not want to think about that and latched onto Elisa's idea, "Well, how do we listen, then? You know the house best," She asked Daniel, hoping he knew his mentor's secrets when it came to the house. Elisa nodded thoughtfully, "Preferably a very secure route where we would not get caught. I want to know what is going on there but not enough to risk Diego's look." Both she and Domani eyed the house, trying to plot ways to hear inside.

((OOC: Get them there, and I'll get a reply to ya'll. *Grins* Just have them starting to spy, and where and how, but not what they see or hear and I'll jump on an answer for ya'll! If you go that route, anyway.))

Daniel thought about the layout of the house, trying to find a route that wouldn't get them caught. He had an idea, but it'd be tricky. It might not even work, but it was their only chance. Kimo wasn't stupid -although he didn't usually lock his doors, he would have gone and done so, along with all the windows. "I could get in through a window and open the other door." Coming in through the door closest them would give them away immediately. "Come on." There were already enough burns from previous mishaps that Kimo probably wouldn't notice just one more.
He went around to another window behind the house. He wasn't an expert on glass, but he did know that if he got it hot enough, he could do what he wanted with it. It was good to be your own torch. A short time later, there was a hole the size of his hand in the pane, and the glass was in his other hand. He reached inside delicately and unlocked the window before opening it up and crawling inside. The door was nearby, and he opened it quietly. Just in case someone had hearing that was just a little too good.
((X'D If this goes too far, tell me. But it's all I could think of that wouldn't get them caught automatically.))
