skysXtheXlimit Yeah, it counts as P.E. credit at my school. That's one reason why some people join. now that would make me mad. I can't stand it when ppl join band who don't like it. ppl already do that at my school for the fine arts credit. the last thing we need it some preppy triangle players walking in the back. (no offense to triangle players)f

It doesn't count as a PE credit at our school........which sucks.....heck, our band works harder than our football team does. We had a Pe class with lots of band and football people...we owned the footballers...it was awesome.... but every year the band is a PE credit is given to the school board and every year the superintendant shoots it down. AND our school is Fontainebleau high.....placed 5th last year at state and played in the college sugar bowl, as well as the national championship i think......i wouldn't know ll im going there next year.......but i can't wait....yes the jr high band beat the football team if you haven't figured it out......but still band will be even better next year! WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!! i wonder is it possible to do WG as a tuba player?

I wish it counted as a P.e. credit at our school. I can't even use marching practice to make up for missing a P.E. class. One of these days, I;m going to make our PE teacher march with us during practice, see how he takes it.

One of these days, I;m going to make our PE teacher march with us during practice, see how he takes it. it isn't up to the gym teacher, it's up to the band directors, board of directors and the superintendent(at least at my school)

At my school it counts for a PE credit. 1 semester of marching band=1 semester of PE
So if your lucky (like me) you can skip PE all through highschool.
Freshman year- Marching band first semester, Driver's Ed/Pathways second semester. (Driver's Ed gets you out of PE as well.)
Sophmore year- Marching band first semester, Health second semester. (health gets you out of PE too...)
Horay for loopholes!
