Eruravenne Jiang Lan Eruravenne Guns aren't common in anime as a reason why they're more controversial? No matter what you might think, a large portion of Gaians aren't huge anime fans. I doubt that has very much at all to do with it. And that most other weapons today are decorational? It still doesn't change what they ARE. Edit: Well, you can't answer for anyone other than yourself. So why do YOU think this way? Did you miss the part about my grandfather getting shot? I'm also a hardcore liberal so perhaps it's just as simple as that. I just think differently. Well, my grandfather was killed when a tree he was cutting down fell on him. I'm not anti-tree. Sorry if I sounds incredibly insensitive. I doubt I'll get anywhere talking to you, just go around in circles forever. If you want to be anti-gun, go ahead. And if you want to be pro-gun, fine by me biggrin

Just being the first to report this, they are making the statue skin two items now. The statue skin and statue hair. So, once again, the power of the user base demanding something has actually worked.

I don't mind the Assassin MC. In fact, it goes really well with most of my inventory. But on the moral side of things, I don't see the harm in putting in pixels in the shape and texture of a gun. Doesn't mean the Admins are pro-gun or pro-violence, because if they are, then we might as well ban other "offensive" items like the alcoholic beverages and other weapons.

I don't really see a problem with the guns so much, just a little annoyed at the idea of an advance weapon being put on avatars. I always loved how Gaia made ancient weapons such as swords or staffs. You know, things that have that martial art feel to it. Guns its... not as... well, you can't really say you practice with a gun for the sake of the art.
I'm probably making no sense. ._.''

Well, I always had this sort of... you know, imaginative ideal. Like fake weapons from the future. Magic items from the past. Now guns that are real. I didn't like it too much.

Well, it seems a lot of us feel strongly on the gun issue.
You can look at it logically, but that would be ignoring the gut instinct.
The gut instinct is that guns are used to kill people NOW, as opposed to all the cool little fantasy things that were used to kill people a long time ago.
Logically, there's very little difference, but humans aren't very logical creatures.
As for my views on it: I bought the assassin item, and I'm sure I'll be using it. I don't think it's Gaia's job to teach morality, or whether or not you should go out and bust a cap. There are guns EVERYWHERE already: TV, movies, books, video games, and of course real life. Gaia holding out and pretending they don't exist would have very little effect, anyway. If someone sees a gun on Gaia and thinks they're really cool, which causes him to go out and shoot someone, then chances are he would have gotten the idea from somewhere else, anyway. They're EVERYWHERE.
Oh, and PG-13. So we're not supposed to be handling the most impressionable of little minds, anyway.

*cough* So, what's up guys? Anyways. Here's what I think. The master piece stuff is pretty cool, though, I didn't really look at it much. But I like the assassin stuff. I mean, it's obvious that they created because they used the sniper on the manga. (Which was fired at Ian) Anyhoo, as I was reading the first page I think there was something tht guns aren't really in animes. But that got me thinking. That is true, but of course my favorite anime involves guns. (Desert punk) But, atleast they're not making like an item of a bullet wound with blood splurging out. A gun is a weopon just like all other weapons. Made to kill. Or seriously hurt. Though, I seriously hope they don't use guns in Battle.

I don't mean that I have moral issues with it. >< I don't think people will go shooting people up because Gaia has guns. I don't care in that aspect. To be honest, I have no idea what I meant.

Agent Crimson combat ready reporting for duty!
Ok, now for the perspective of a left wing super liberal.
First of all, I'd like to say that I am PRO-Gun control in the U.S. today. Guns are a horrible weapon used to kill people around the world.
From the perspective of a Roman Catholic, I also believe that violence is an issue that should be stopped at all costs. And for the power of love to over come the love of power.
That being said... I love guns, I'm a gun enthusiast... Which makes me kinda contradictory to myself...
I don't think these guns are going to have a profound effect on the Gaia psyche... I think most Gaians are mature enough to handle the concept of Guns... and mature enough to distinguish Gaia from real life.
Once again, this agent loves the gun MC.

I like the items. But I'm kind of disappointed since Gaia added guns, but I like the guns on Gaia. o3o Probably won't equip it, but I think they're cool still. Ooh, the cloak is lovely, and I love the stone skin.

I like the cloak option and the scarf. I don't know if i'll spend the moeny on buying them this month. The only sad thing i've seen on gaia so far is a bunch of people cosplaying nazi's for whatever reason. That creeps me out.
