Shikoba moved forward so that he was standing in front of Nituna. He looked her right in the eyes and smiled.
"It'll be fine, sweetheart. Just stay still and let your mother look."
He watched as Aish looked over their daughter in search of the culprit.
She did as she was told and looked right back into her father's eyes. For a moment, she looked back over at her sister.
"I'm sorry if I scared you, Niv."
She sighed and waited to see if her mother could find the spider.

Aishwarya waited until Nituna was still before looking her over, moving around and finally located the hitchhiker. It was dangling from a thread off the end of the filly's tail, and Aish bent, moving her head so that she caught the single piece of web, and carried the spider off on her nose.
She walked a small distance away, depositing the spider on a bush before returning to her family. 'It's gone now sweetie.'
'S'okay,' Nivriti managed, still a little wobbly from witnessing her sister freak out so much. Everyone had some sort of fear it would seem, and maybe now Nituna wouldn't tease her so much about being afraid of the water. 'You 'kay?'

Shikoba smiled as Aish took control of the situation in the calm way that she did things. He still couldn't help but admire her great parenting skills. He turned to look at Nituna, smiling at her.
"There, its gone now. Do you feel better?"
She had finally calmed down as her mother removed the spider from her. She gave one last shudder as she saw the spider on her mother's nose, but ignored it once it was back on the bush.
"Yeah, I'm ok. Thanks everybody. Sorry I freaked out so much."
She now felt rather bad about making such a big deal out of it. She realized that she had involved her whole family in her little ordeal.
"I'm sorry..."

Aishwarya rejoined her mate's side now that the crisis was over, and addressed her daughters.
'If you will play, play near us. I'd rather not have visions of something terrible when I hear one of my daughters give a blood-chilling scream.' she smiled though, softening her words.
'And it's fine, as I mentioned before, everyone has their fears. Just remember Nituna, if it happens again try and stay calm, take deep breaths until the spider is off you.'
'Wanna go see if we can find flowers for Mummy?' Nivriti said quietly, having stepped back next to her sister.

Shikoba nuzzled his daughter and smiled at her.
"Yes, your mother is right. You two should stay where we can see you."
He smiled and moved back to Aish's side.
Nituna smiled around at her family before addressing her sister.
"Yeah! Let's do that! I bet I can find more than you!"

'No you won't!' Nivriti replied, her winglets flapping. She took a quick look around, spying a stretch of grass that was sprinkled with daisies and scampered quickly over towards them, trying to collect a bunch for her mother before Nituna did.
'So, what were we talking about before the spider tried to carry our daughter away?' Aishwarya joked a little, smiling up at her mate.

"Yes I willll!!!"
She smiled and bounded off into the field after her sister. Bending her neck downward, she scooped up a bunch in her teeth and looked around to see how many her sister had. She repeated this a few times until she couldn't hold anymore.
"How many you got, Nivriti?"
Shikoba chuckled as his daughters ran after each other, collecting flowers. He then turned back to Aishwarya, smiling.
"Well, I do believe we were talking about having more children."
He smiled and nudged her neck with his muzzle.

'Oh yes, that's right,' Aishwarya leaned against Shikoba, and cast a glance skywards. The day was slowing drawing to a close, the sky turning a faint purple on the horizon.
'We should take shelter for the night soon I think.' she said, giving him a soft nudge. Laying out under the stars with Shikoba sounded a fair romantic prospect, but she wasn't so sure her daughters would be too pleased at being exposed to the night time chill.
'Nuh uh.' Nivriti said, and then got distracted by the moth she disturbed when she yanked up another flower. It flapped wildly around her head for a moment, and she followed it with her eyes, skipping along underneath it when it moved away from where she was standing.

Shikoba looked toward his children and nodded.
"Yes, that sounds like a good idea. It would be better for the girls. Shall we go and get them?"
He took a step towards his daughters, waiting for Aishwarya to follow.
She looked around for her sister and spotted her trailing after something flying around her. Nituna smiled and followed after her.
"What is that thing?"

'Looks like a bu'fly,' Nivriti said as she followed it, twisting around when it hovered in one place. 'But it's not all bright colours like a bu'fly.' she looked over at her sister.
'If we can tear them away from whatever game they are playing.' Aishwarya followed her mate, swishing her braided tail lazily. It had a been a nice day, and she planned on sticking around the area for a while longer at least. Or maybe she wouldn't leave at all, it was nice being back with Shikoba again.

Nituna followed her sister and looked up at the flying creature.
"How come you say it that way? You're supposed to say it like "buTTERfly". You're leaving out the middle part. But you're right....doesn't look like any butterfly I've ever seen."
She looked around and saw her parents approaching them.
"Hey, maybe mom or dad will know."
Shikoba smiled as Aish followed him over to their daughters.
"Seems they're interested in something."
He looked around at his family and wished they could spend more time together. He truly loved his family and wanted to be with them.
"Aish....do you think you and Nivriti would like to stay here for a while?"

'BuTTTerfly,' Nivriti said pointedly. She just liked saying it the way she did, it sounded nicer for such a pretty creature. She stopped watching the moth long enough to notice their parents approaching and she ambled over. 'Muum, what's a thing that's like a bu'fly but not coloured like one?'
'I'd like that very much, are you sure that being around 3 females won't be too much for you?' Aishwarya asked, her eyes bright and her tone a teasing one. 'Besides..' she whispered so that their daughters didn't hear. 'We'll need to be around each other when they grow..' she chuckled.

Nituna smiled at her sister as she made a point of putter the middle part back in the word. When she left to go speak to their parents, she followed, standing next to her father and nuzzling into his wings the hung down low enough for her to reach.
"Not when those three females are ones that I love dearly."
He smiled and nuzzled up against Aish as their daughters came over. He smiled as Nivriti asked her question, and wrapped his wing around Nituna as she nuzzled against him.

Aishwarya looked around, the moth had flown out of sight but she replied; 'Given the time I would say it's probably a moth, they tend to come out at night. Time to call it a day girls, we'll take shelter for the night, and you can play again on the 'morrow.'
Nivriti tried to stifle a yawn that had been creeping up on her and moved to stand by her mother. 'Are we travelling far?'
Aishwarya shook her head; 'No, not far I'm sure, we're staying with your father tonight.' She would speak more to Nivriti when they had a moment alone, she knew that although her daughter had missed her father, she'd gotten quite used to having her mother all to herself.

Shikoba smiled as they made their way to the clearing that he called home for the nights. He looked around at his girls. He never imagined that he'd be with a family of his own. He had no words to express his happiness right now, but he felt the situation didn't really call for words right now.
Nituna beamed around at her mother and moved from under her father's wing. "Yay!!! Mommy and Nivriti are staying with us tonight!! We're having a sleepover!" She danced around for a bit before running to her mother's side and leaning against her lovingly.
