"..." His brow lofted slightly as he leaned in to take a lock of mane between his teeth, giving it a light, teasing tug. "Here I thought I was doing a pretty good job of it... You seem to smile a good bit when I'm around... Then again, you might smile more when I'm not around..."
She turned her head slightly as that she could touch her nose to his cheek, giving him a gentle nudge. "I'm not anywhere near as pretty as the snow at night, silly."

"You are but ... you might not want to stick around." She smiled as she nudged him. "I do enjoy having you around. You're nice and you're always fun to talk to and you showed me all of this but ..." He always got tense when he did something that was affectionate. "I suppose you treat me more as a sister than otherwise."
"No ... prettier." He nodded and shifted so he could be closer to her. The snow at night couldn't smile and talk to him but she could.

"I..." He supposed that she was right there and he couldn't help but furrow a brow at himself. "... Do not have much experience with mares that are not a part of my family, I'm afraid." Truthful, at best. He had grown up with four sisters and a mother which left he, Trucido and their father greatly outnumbered. He could only imagine what it had been like for his father before he and his brother came along.
"Do you..." She glanced up, pausing as she realized that he was now closer to her than he had been a moment ago. "... Do you really think so, Mordecai?"

"It's alright." She smiled and nudged his neck with her head. "I've never had a brother before. It's nice." It still meant that she had a friend to spend time with and that was enjoyable. She'd never been unhappy when Acheron was around.
"I do." She was prettier than the sky at night even if she didn't agree with him. "Snow doesn't smile .. you do"

"Perhaps we will just have to spend a bit more time with one another? Assuming you do not mind quiet moments from time to time... I am not always as entertaining as I am within your company." He smirked as he turned his head to nudge her back. "Sometimes I think just as much as our little friend back there seems to."
"Of course I smile... Most do when they are happy." She nodded slowly as she closed her eyes, resting her head against his neck. "I am happy to see you again, Mordecai... Glad that we found you here. The beach is beautiful but this... Is nicer."

"I don't mind." She smiled up at him. "I like the quiet. It's nice just getting to spend time with you." Maybe they could watch the sun set over the mountains one day. She did love the colors it turned the rocks and she wasn't sure if he'd ever seen it the way she had.
He draped one wing over the other mare as she leaned against him. "I am glad you found me. Seeing family is nice, seeing you is just as nice." It was even better that they'd all come together. It had been a while since he'd seen his Uncle.

"Then I suppose when you decide to leave the sea this time I will be coming with you?" His brow lofted as he leaned down to touch his nose to hers for a brief moment. "... Assuming you don't mind that either, of course."
"Kalosyni is so nice and Acheron... Your uncle." She took a deep breath, releasing it slowly as she closed her eyes for a moment, still smiling softly. "They both listened to me without thinking that I was silly for thinking differently... And now you're here. It's... Been a good day." She didn't even think that a snow storm could make things bad at this point.

"If you'd like." She smiled and nuzzled him gently. "It would be nice to have company ... you could watch the sun set over the mountains with me maybe?" It seemed like a good idea to have friends about for those sorts of things.
"I like my uncle. He's always been nice to me." He thought the two of them were a lot alike and that's probably why they got along so well. "Do you think .. maybe, you'd like to stay with me the rest of the day?

"I thought..." He draped a wing over her carefully, leaving it setting just loose enough that she would able to tug away without harming him if she wanted to. "... That we were talking about what you would like." He chuckled as he turned to touch his nose to hers. "Although, I suppose it would only be fair for me to watch the sun set over the mountains with you since you watched the sun set into the sea with me."
"I... Really?" Of course he had really meant to ask her that. Why on earth would he have said it otherwise? "I... Would very much like to stay with you the rest of the day, Mordecai. Maybe... You could tell me more about the sea? And your family... And you?"

"I wouldn't have said it if i didn't want you to." It would be nice if they could head up and watch that together. The forest wasn't as warm as it was down here but he did have the wings to keep him warm and she was used to nothing more than body heat from her family.
He nodded and rested his head against her neck. "I could tell you stories. Ela likes them .. maybe you would too?" Most of the family had developed a knack for telling stories to keep grandmother and Ela entertained.

"Then... Perhaps I should go see about telling my sister and mother that I may be away for a bit so that they don't worry?" His brow lofted slightly as he looked to her before glancing back out to the sea. "Unless you would like to stay here tonight rather than head back before nightfall."
"I just... Want to know more about you than I already feel I know... If that makes sense." Her brow furrowed slightly as she turned her head to briefly touch her nose to his. "Sometimes... Sometimes it doesn't seem like it makes any sense at all. I tried to explain it to Kalosyni and she tried to understand... But I don't think she really did."

"Could we make it back to the forest before nightfall?" She figured that he could have made it back there flying but she wasn't that fast. "If we can then we could head back, otherwise i would not mind spending the night here if we could not"
"You know me though ... a bit." They had talked before and played together when they were smaller. Maybe she was talking about something else though? Something he'd never thought of before.

"We should be able to... If not before then soon after." He drew his wing back after glancing down, realizing that the surf was rising a bit higher than it had been before. "I will leave that choice to you."
"I know the childhood friend and watchful guardian... Sometimes things change when people age though, don't they? I... Don't think I've changed all that much." She glanced down as she drifted into thought. What if she had changed? What if he had? He might not want to be her friend anymore... But he'd already asked her to stay for the day so he must still want to be her friend. "Maybe... We should just start with a story."
