I must agree, J.K is not gonna bring Sirius back. Maybe she will bring him back in a way like she brought Harry's parents back, but Sirius is dead. She doesnt kill people off then make em come back. If she didnt want them dead, she wouldnt have killed them. Simple. Alot of people were schocked when Dumbledore died, though we all knew it was coming, except the morons who thought Harry was gonna die in the sixth book... The sad day will be when she finish's killing the mauraders, because it seems this is what she is doing. She has two to go. The seventh book I believe is going to be filled with death, like some life changing event is going to happen and alot of people are going to die.

Zaurak dranzenphoenixstrike Sirius' death made lots of people sad, and I doubt there's a single person in the Harry Potter Fanworld that did not love him. Or still do for that matter. gonk Unfortunately, this isn't true. I've ran into a few people who disliked Sirius and were glad he died. There loss, I figure. *sniff* He may have been a prat, but he was our prat! Really, though, if Rowling brought Sirius back to life, I wouldn't be insulted. Many other authors, as good or better, have done the same, and Sirius' death is pretty murky. You just can't have a characte die by falling through a veil without most of your readers thinking he's gonnacome back. Dumbledore though, he's dead, yeeeaah. I didn't like Sirius. Hated him, his character, for a multitude of reasons that none of you want to hear. At least, not in this thread. But anyone who thinks he is coming back, is sadly suffering under delusions. Sirius died for a reason. If you can't clearly see that, then you have very poor reading comprehension. If he came back, it would be a disappointment, and a sign of poor writing. I'm not saying this because of my personal feelings for the character, I'm saying this becuase I've read a lot, and I know a lot about literature. If Sirius was to magically pop back to life just in time, I would be insulted that JKR thought her readers so petty and unread enough to be pleased with that. Luckily, JKR has stated, several times, that he is Dead and is Not Coming Back.

Yay!My 150th post!I am now a third year!
Anyway,J.K has stated that he isnt coming back, and unfortunately Empress_Kat you think this is a good thing. If Sirius were to come back...I would be terribly upset with Rowling for going against what she has said. We all loved him with an exception of some people, and were sad to see him die, but we all must face the facts. cry

I too think there will be a crap load of death in the last book. And whilst I didnt think Dumbledore would die, at least I wasnt dumb enough to think Harry would.
Sirius isnt coming back. Maybe in some odd manner close to that of being a ghost, but thats it.

Sirius was my favorite character... Rowling was wrong to kill him off... he was Harry's friend, godfather, and guide to dueling and dark arts.... Sirius to me was a more important character than Dumbledore... it made no sense to kill him off...

Kevin, I think that is exactly the reason she went and killed off both Dumbledore and Sirius. Harry isn't supposed to have any help in defeating Voldy in the last book, therefore the two characters that would help him are dead. Of course his lovely group of friends will try and help him... But they're not experienced like Sirius and Dumby so they'll probably get caught up and end up not actually being able to help Harry in the real dual between him and Voldy.

It sucks that they can never join him... gives Harry the look as the lone trooper... Kinda gives him an air, and slightly emo-like

No your all wrong. Voldemort will turn good, Sirus and Dumbledore will jump out of Harry's closet, his parents will walk in his room, and Harry will be a happy little boy.

Goddess of the World Your thoughts on Sirius Black. Please no one line answers that state you like him. Lets get some debth!
Sirius Black In my opinion should not have died. He was the best thing to happen to Harry, and even if you dont like Harry, how can you not like Padfoot? He was a hard worker and had he stayed alive would have definately prevented the death of Dumbledore(though Dumbledore shoulda died a while ago..).As well Sirius did not die a nice death, though most dont in the wizarding world. But going into oblivion of who knows where? That isnt pleasant. The killing curse would have been better. At least Dumbledore got a nice burial and such, what did Sirius get? Nothing. So that is my point, and I am sure I will add to your comments!Post Away! you have to remember though, you were sayin he woulda prevented dumnbledores death? well he died defending dumbledore. Big D was bound to die sometime.

Kim, I simply adore your cheery outlook 4laugh
But really, I have to disagree with you Kevin. Sirius wasnt as important as you make him sound. I mean, he played a big role for a short time in Harrys life, with the whole godfatherlyness and such, but he never came off as the type that would be able to do as much for Harry ans Dumbledore. Actually I cant see how he would fit into the book anymore.
And Dumbledore too had to die. Harry DOES need to face this all on his own. It was his prophecy to defeat or be defeated, not Dumbledores, nor anyone elses. Dumbledore helped when and where he could, passed on what Harry needed to know, and went. It was his time, as sad as it is.

I'm saying that Sirius would be like his link to his father's past, giving him advice... from past knowledge... which Remus could be also... Though ever since the 4 book I knew Dumbledore would die... he was way to close to Harry... Harry shouldn't have to face everything on his own... such as finding the Horcrux... he should just kill Voldemort on his own, which is what the prophecy says...

He's not going to have to get find the horcruxes alone. Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Luna, and Neville will be there to asist with that...
