There is no such thing as to much of said genre.
There is such a thing as to much bad of said genre.
I believe there can be and is both. If there is too much of one genre then people who don't like the genre will see less of the genres they like. Of course too much of bad of a genre is never good. For mini-games there are plenty of good mini-games out there. People just see "mini-game" and think. "OMFGITZAWFULZ11" When it's "too much" of a genre they happen to like they love it and don't think a thing about it. People don't notice there is too much of something unless they don't like it or it's something bad. If it's good they don't notice it. I don't know where you're coming from, but from what I can tell, most people see mini-game and think: "OMGGAWTZ2BUYNAU!!1" I'm old enough to remember when mini-game comps were good. Anyone here remember the first two Mario Party games? They rocked! Whatever happened to that? The only time I think "OMFGITZAWFUL11" is when a game is actually awful. And "awful" just so happens to describe pretty much every mini-game compilation released in the last year or two.
Im sorry, but I actually enjoyed Carnival Games, Raving Rabbids 1 and 2, WiiSports, Wario Ware Smooth Moves, and Viva Pinata: Party Animals.
Carnival Games: 58% Raving Rabbids 1 - 77% Raving Rabbids 2 - 68% Wii Sports - 77% Wario Ware Smooth Moves - 82% Viva Pinata - 57% Wario Ware and Wii Sports are pretty fun with friends, I have to admit. But few of these games you listed approach anything more than averageness, especially for primarily single-player gamers like myself. They're certainly not worth the $50-$60 they're asking us to shell out.

Is he seriously posting ratings to convince us the games aren't good? Since when did we listen to them? lol

*laughs* Touche, my pagan friend. mrgreen But then I do this...: FF Tactics: 88% FFVII: 92% FFVI: 94% FFX: 91% FF Tactics Advance: 88% Crisis Core FFVII: 87% FFIX: 93% FFVIII: 90% FFXII: 91% ...and then direct a poorly-disguised and infuriatingly condescending insult at you, something like: "So yeah, Daxel, it's not that your taste in video games is 'bad', per se, it's just... niche. Yeah, that's it. Niche. So if you want to play Carnival Games instead of Final Fantasy Tactics, you run along and have fun with that." *rocks out to that Bravery song* Speaking of which, what do you think of their Sun and the Moon album? I think "Oceans" may be one of the greatest songs ever written, despite it's anti-climactic ending. Seriously, couldn't they finished up with a cello solo or something?

The could have, but then, it would have been the song of Cthulhu. Cello is a Mythos instrument, as such the Bass Clarinet, the Oboe, and the Soprano Saxophone.
And I would rather have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song on loop with a turtle coming out of Bill Gates a** playing in front of my face that play any of those s**t faced games you and reviewers, call "good".
Especially Tactics, I'd rather play Fallout Tactics.

Wait, Tactics only averaged 88%?
Blasphemy! It's better than that miserably broken game known as FFVII and plot-hole crazed pseudo-shoujo FFVIII!
Same score as FFTA, wah!? Do these reviewers not play the previous incarnations? FFTA was a step backwards from FFT.
:: goes back to playing through Tactics with Arithmetic build ::

The class system in FFT: WotL is ******** broken.
I need to switch classes to gain white mage skills, but I keep dying because my white mage can't heal anyone. D:
I hate having a chemist and a white mage. D:

Bah, the class system in FFT: WotL is better than the original. What is broken is the Balthier/Oralandu combonation with Dragoon/Samurai/Ninja/Time Mage abilities.

@Ace and Blues: You guys are my kind of people. Ace, you'll figure out the classes soon enough. It's really not too difficult. Also, I agree that the Tactics' score should have been MUCH higher. It's my favorite game of all time.
@Daxel: Fallout Tactics? I am intrigued. Please tell me you didn't just make that up.
@Wak: SPITTING CONTEST!!! *works up some mucous* ... Oh god, that's really gross.

I'm wrecking yer's**t with maths! They may not be strategy fans. That or they were lazy and decided to give FFT the same score as FFTA.
