He tilted his head just enough that he could lip at a curly strand of mane, giving it a light tug before pulling back. "It's kind of hard to swoop down on unsuspecting prey without wings... So far it seems that the most I could do was intrude." He smirked teasingly. "How close are we to having you home, little lady? I'm trying to earn my 'good guy' points for the night."

"You can swoop without wings. It just takes charisma." She nodded and laughed slightly. "Home is that way, not that far either." She turned her head and pointed out toward where the trees started to thin.

"In that case, Seirei, let's walk that way." He chuckled as he shifted the direction of his body, moving to guide her towards her home.
He cleared his throat as he aproached the two, pale eyes narrowing slightly as they landed on the flames flickering against the young stallion's legs. "I can see her home from here."

She stiffened slightly when she heard her father's voice. "D-daddy... i thought you were at home?" She turned to smile at her father. He couldn't have missed the flames on Pyre's legs and he wasn't going to like that he was anywhere near her. He'd always told them to stay well away from fire.

"I was... And then I heard voices in the woods. I thought it might be wise to some see who the voices belonged to." He nodded slowly, tail giving a slight flicker as he took a step towards his daughter. The flames had been what caught his eye, carrying him in the direction that his ears had told him the voices came from. "It seems as if I was right."
He took a step back away from the mare, not caring all that much for the look that he was getting from the pale faced stallion that she'd called 'Daddy'. Just as his sister had not been trouble that he was prepared for, nor was her father. "I was just escorting her home, sir."

"See daddy. It's fine." She nuzzled her head against her father's neck as she tried to secretly nudge him away from Pyre. "He just wanted to make sure nothing happened to me while i was out alone."
No harm could come of that. Pyre was just being nice. Daddy couldn't fault him for that could he?"

"Even more reason for you to not be out alone this late at night." He snorted softly, scowl easing only slightly as he returned the nuzzle. "Go on home, Atae. Tell your mother I will be back shortly."
He swallowed hard as he shifted on his hooves, not at all caring for the sound of that. It seemed as if the little siren was escaping a lecture... But did that mean that he was going to get one? Hell, this wasn't even his father and all he'd done was walk her home...

"You're not going to walk me home?" She pouted prettily at her father hoping to distract him from saying anything to Pyre. If he did she was sure she'd never get to talk to him again.

"Nothing will happen to you between here and home, Atae'Seirei." He gave her another nudge, brow lofting slightly when he was interrupted by the young stallion.
"Go on, little lady. You put up a fuss about me walking you home this far... I'm sure you can make it the rest of the way without your father plodding along beside you." He probably wasn't helping things... But at least he knew what he was getting himself into.

She huffed and looked like she was about to protest for a moment before she turned back around toward home. Daddy seemed to be in a 'mood' and unfortunately her looks weren't going to get her anywhere this time.
"If i get eaten i'm blaming it on both of you."

"Don't worry. Nothing out there is stupid enough to eat a little thing like you... They'd just get indigestion!" He called after her before it settled in that he was now alone with her father. "... Hi."
He glared at the stallion who had been with his daughter, alone, for far longer than any father would have liked... Especially one who had a sever dislike for flames. When he was certain that Atae was well out of the range of hearing he spoke, voice low. "Stay away from my daughter."
That said he turned away from the stallion, hoping that that would be the end of that and he could go back to the calm, peaceful darkness of the night.
Sighing softly he shook his head, watching the pale faced stallion walk away from him. "Told you I was trouble, Siren." He muttered softly before heading back to the trail that would lead him back home.
