Ace shrugged, "Yeah, but I've been forbidden to do anything for their health anymore. They just don't GET IT. But...we will still try! In the face of adversity, we should WIN!.... And does he look two-dimensional to you? Really?" He didn't get the quote, having only hung out with computer geeks his whole life. He made a face at it, trying to comprehend in a computer-geek sort of way.

Jasmine shook her head at what Ace told her. "Then they're dumbasses. I just really can't believe that someone would be so much into their work. They can't really call that fun, can they?"
The silent girl blushed slightly as he asked about her quote.
"Urr... It's like a metaphor for how exciting his life has been. Don't worry, it's a Drama club thing." She let out another airy laugh.

Ace's eyes lit up, first at Jasmine's comment about them, and then at her explanation as he understood, "Oh, like a gaming console that's two-dimensional versus one that's three dimensional. Or THIS one that's four. Yeah? Yeah..heh.. they're like negative dimensional... backwards and ackward!" Ace said, then tilted his head, "You like drama? I had people tell me that I should be a part of it, but.." He made a face, "Most boys there are sissies. And I hate Shakespeare!"

Wasn't Shakespeare all drama was about?

Jasmine blinked as Ace went on with his Dimension-talk. What was he talking about? Something about backward dimensions, but she just decided to act like she understood. "Uh-huh, I guess so."

The silent girl laughed again as he showed his dislike of the theater. "Ah, hardly anyone understands Shakespeare as it is. I was talking more of a musical than a full-out serious play. And it's not just for sissies- there are actually a lot of football players in the Drama Club I'm in!" She smiled at the explanation, showing it to the boy.

Ace gave Jasmine an incredulous look, "Yeah, RIGHT, I don't----Uh, hi, Dad."

"Your tail should be in bed, as should yours, I'm sure. Whatever Ace is telling you, ignore him." Jim Edwards' eyes narrowed at his son as he spoke, "And you're grounded."

"Awhh... Dad, really, we're just talking about drama clubs and dimensions..."

"This dimension is about to disappear. Good night, young lady." Jim couldn't remember what her name was at the moment, "I'm sorry he bothered you."

"Socialization!" Ace countered, nodding furiously to Jasmine, to her he meant that it needed to be done with Charles and his father.

To Jim,it just meant he was coming up with another excuse to stay, "Isn't what you're getting for the next two days, and it's counting upwards every moment you stay."

Awh, man!

The silent girl just stared blankly as the newcomer came in. Uhh, what? As she looked from father to son as they spoke, her confusion only seemed to worsen. But she had recognized Ace's warning to her, and gave him a confirming nod and smile as he was dragged off.

When she had guessed that they had left, she went back to her own room, as well. The entire house had gotten quiet, despite it's usual chaotic tone- it was then she noticed the clock had struck midnight. "Heh, and I'm not even tired!" She went back to her bed, and instead of going back to her book, she opened up her sketchbook and started writing down ideas still to get those two out of their work environment.

Oh, how they will be surprised.
