Just to be sure, do you really see that list as reasons this show sucks?
No, I actually made a list of several awesome things about the show. it's meant to be a parody of how trivial a lot of the things that 'Ruin Transformers FOREVER.'

Hence, the "[/jokepost]" at the end.

Ah . . . just wanted to be absolutely sure. Now, I feel it important to do a final review of this season.

*facepalm* Slagging crap. Shades of pokemon and inuyasha are rearing their abominable heads. With the discovery of allspark shards by both the Decepticons and the Autobots, there is a 'gotta catch em all' feel to it now. Frankly, I am disturbed and disappointed. The sumdac story arc is the only thing that really shows promise at this point.

I will admit that I enjoy the character of Ultra Magnus and his freaking Mjolnir. Power like that does have some use, and the voice actor seems to be channeling a good bit of Robert Stack. Not perfect, but more than enough to get the feel of what is good.

FYI, I didn't detect a hint of it on today's episode. They didn't even hint about it at the end, like "We should look for bits of the allspark." It was just a regular episode. And looking over the episode summaries for the rest of season 2, I don't see anything along the lines of "looking for the allspark." Maybe the Decepticons are getting pieces behind the scenes / at the end of an episode, but I'd say that's acceptable if it's only once or twice on-screen.

Also, it was a really good episode.

stare You seriously expect me not to be concerned when Megs has spent 'Four million solar cycles' hunting the allspark to ignore collecting shards of it?! Leave us not forget the Elite Guard also on Earth will be interested in reconstituting the allspark. They didn't make reference to it, no. Still it is a logical conclusion that it will become a plot point.

Well, I think they'll more be focusing on what the allspark dispursing actually DID instead of collecting it. Constructicons, Blurr, Wrck-Gar, possibly Shockwave too are all results, and get their own episodes.

Like I said, it'll happen off-screen, if it happens at all. Maybe a sub-arc behind Sari's existance. But, at least on the Decepticon side, it's going to be all about the spacebridge.

I lack your faith in the writing team.

Let me guess, you watched the Unicron Trilogy?

I've heard that the story for that was aweful. So aweful that I'd doubt the quality of other stuff if I had seen it.
Yeah, I never saw those (I'm plannng on watching them though). Thisd bring up a whole other argument if I kept going, so I'll stop there.
Suffice to say, you were bitten by the Unicron Trilogy and now you're twice shy? Or something to that affect?

As I am unaware of the Unicron Trilogy, I cannot say if I have watched it. I merely watched bits and pieces of the most recent series, and since RID, the main offers have been RIP. Once I get past the horrid animation of the Teen Titans team, this show did show promise, but I have my reservations at this point.

Ah, so you just show a lack of faith because an aspect of the show sucks in your eyes. That's understandable. I can respect that.

As far as faith in the writing team: they lost it by throwing in 'chunks of allspark.' Something like that deserves its own arc. Yes, maybe a collect-the-things arc, but if done right, it'd work. If done right, any arc can work. I personally think they threw in the chunks as deus ex machina proof the allspark wasn't destroyed.

I hate deus ex machina. I find it as a sign of bad writing.

Well, looks like you were right. "Find the allspark shards" is becoming a major plotline so far. I'm not going to say much for a few days. I'll wait for you all to watch the episode on youtube.

Overall... I'm a bit iffy about the whole thing. It seems like it'll end up being a decentish arc premise for episodic stories.
Seriously though, I'm hoping the writers aren't putting so much plot into the story that they get confused. I do admire their determination to avoid giant gaping plotholes.

At the same time, the head writer was one of the writers for Beast Machines.

(Yes, I liked Beast Machines' story. Would've been better though if Hasbro didn't tell them to specifically to NOT watch Beast Wars.)

I did manage to watch the episode on Youtube, and will many more times on my DVR when I get home from vacation. What I saw did not show any reference to the allspark- or the decepticons in more than name. Perhaps I missed the references?

Once again the headmaster comes out of the shadows to show how lame he is. damn I hate the human villians. What is next? Professor Princess scares the bejeezus out of Jazz?! Meltdown harms Ultra Magnus?!

Sorry, but what I meant to say is that the Canadian episode showed lots of allspark. Y'know, since we're ahead by an episode.

As far as I know, at most, the human villains will have one Meltdown episode and one "all the human villains" episode. Maybe a few cameos, but nothing more.

Still, was it worth sitting through Headmaster to see Sentinel Prime finally get his just desserts?

I was very disappointed at the lack of Jazz in that Ep. He and Bumblebee being a complete and utter 'tard is really the reason I am watching. xp
I was very pleased for Sentinel getting abused a little, I REALLY wanted his face dented in. And the whole that "Prime" is a rank in their army is very confusing...
cry Was anyone as freaked out at Optimus Prime's laugh? It was...creepy, and OOC, at least for that voice actor.
*Bumblebee in the hat...AMAZING*
I am still DVRing all eps, and hoping that Jazz gets more air time...and being amused at Bumblebee and his overall lack of smarts, oh, and seeing more Blitzwing, he needs more too.

Yes, Sentinel did deserve every bit he got, and more. Of course, I detested seeing headmaster again. Worse yet, he is in a prime position to continue being a recurring villian. Yeah, I made the pun- and am not ashamed.

As for Prime being a rank- it always was. Just now it is a rank lower than the supreme commander. One is forced to wonder if Optimus gets to the highest rank in this world- would he be "Ultra Optimus"???

Brings to the question which one of Magnus' names is his rank. Sure, there was BB's remark about 'why some wonder why he's called Ultra.'

At the same time, we had a comic character awhile back called "Ultra Trion," who was essentially a super old version of Ultra Magnus from an alternate something-or-other.

Perhaps the rank is Magnus and his name is Ultra.
