I know they are the same thing. Congrats obvious you restated what I just said.

They are TALKING ABOUT RELEASING PLASTIC STORM TROOPERS.
If they do that it could uproot the Kasrkin sales, that's what I'm talking about. Just like the Marine Biker and Ravenwing biker.

Save 10$, get the same thing. Marine Biker sales at our local GW's have dropped to zero at all 3 stores. Why spend the extra 10? It's easier to use the marine extra bitz to get the plasma rifles and such. So no one wastes the 10$, and you also get the extra Dark Angel bitz to use, or trade off. Including the single Ravenwing shoulderpad, which is huge trade value around the area.

Same thing may happen to Kasrkin if they release a plastic Stormtrooper.

First of all, you've had multiple instances of disrespect. I would request (and suggest) that you be more polite in the future.

Kasrkins are Cadian Stormtroopers, and there is no longer an official Stormtooper model, but rather just the Kasrkins (which have no iconography on them). The difference between the metal Kasrkins and the new plastic ones is that the metal ones have Hellguns, whereas the new plastic ones have Shotguns.

They'll likely only be $5 cheaper, and they'll not likely usurp the current version of Kasrkins. Why you ask? In many instances, the Hellguns are simply more useful. They have a better AP and can actually fire past 12". Stormtroopers are horrible in close combat, and a waste of points if you put them there. Thus, you have no need for an Assault weapon.

The Stormtroopers standard weapon is a Hellgun with Targeter. Why would they only have shotguns?

Don't expect me to be more respectful. I hold no respect for loli lovers.

Listen dude if you'd like to fap to your own self-ordaination of awesome, when in actuallity it's just the stench of self-righteousness that's fine. Don't expect me to fall in line with it though.

Mod edit.

Final warning..

Admin edit: You've been warned about this kind of disrespect in the guild more than once; 'Final Warning' means final warning before being banned from the guild. Keep that in mind.

Why would they have shotguns? Lowers the Price, different use of them, and above all, there are pics of them, so no matter what the reason, they're in existence.

I personally think shotties need to be more powerful, like instead of making it 2 shots, making it more powerful up close, as paratroopers usually are, by making it +1 str when within 6 inch of the target, and anything between 6-12 the normal str

but shotties would make sense, seeing as deep strikes happen near midgame where models are just all over the board, making meeting an enemy unit up close and personal easy.

edit: stop trying to pick fights when it's just healthy discussion

I never thought shotguns were any kind of useful anyway.

...

And I just looked in my codex, shotguns aren't even an option for Storm Troopers.

Thank you for skimming posts instead of reading them. Shotguns were an option in the previous codex and shotguns will most likely a choice once more with the next codex. Failing that, witch hunter storm troopers can still use shotguns, it says so in their unit entry.

Couldn't you make the Shotguns Hell guns with some green stuff anyway?
or use a Lasgun and say its a spiffy Hell gun

Plastic Stormtroopers would be a blessing anyway.
as will the plastic Valkyries for my DIY Guard Army

Oh for the love of whatever god you pray to..!

The plastic Kasrkin will be like those crappy SM scouts: multi-part with multiple arm options. If the box has shotguns you can bet that it will also contain regular hellguns and maybe even special weapons and sergeant equipment upgrades such as a hellpistol and ccw / power weapon.

In the grim, dark future of the 41st millenium.. you'll need more than a shotgun to survive.

Fluff-wise, I'd see the shotgun options as more of a hint for players to convert the Stormtrooper models into Arbites models. But that's just me.

[.Psycho.Doughboy.]
I'll always wish the necrons got more in apocalypse. A necron Monstrous creature or mobile legendary unit would have made my millenium. Still, it seems like a great thing. You can bet my friends will crap themselves at a plastic drop pod kit or thunderhawk. I'd still buy them tho.

I've read the Apocoplyse (spelling) update book, and the Necrons get some sweet new formations. We also get The DOOMSDAY MONOLITH! No offical model to be released, but from what I can remember, it's pretty sweet and (to my warped mind) worth the £12 to buy the new book.

Phil Kelley officially confirmed that he is working on Planetstrike with no official release date. He also said that the Valkyrie may or may NOT be done as a plastic kit, the nobs in the office are still deciding whether or not it is worth the investment.

the Dude
Planet Strike will supposedly come sooner than expected. I’m told July at the latest.

Rumoured rules:

In a game of Planet Strike, the Attacker/Defender split will be very important, with them possibly getting different FOCs.

Defender
Gets to place all terrain on the battlefield and picks his table edge.

He can declare Terrain to be dangerous if he wants (Mined for example) although it’s not clear how much he can do this for.

There will be buildings with mounted weapons, like armed bunkers etc. Probably, the defender will have to place all of his army.

Attacker
May place some Craters to get some cover.

May move in from his table edge, Deep Strike and Outflank, similar to a "Dawn of War" Scenario.

May also get some goodies like a prepared Artillery fire on the defending units, special equipment etc.

Will most likely get first Turn.

Releases:

New terrain such as a multipart plastic kit similar to the Cities of Death ruins. With enough of those you will possibly be able to build fortresses, defensive structures for tanks, or control towers, outposts etc. Also some new craters and other stuff that wasn’t expanded on.

Plastic Thunderhawk is again mentioned.
