While he was content to pick and then sit, she was concerned with calling as much attention to herself as possible though in the positive fashion with her happy noises and avid gesturing. Outside was quite a happy place to her and she was enjoying this immensly, probably enough for her and her brother.
"Well, what with the way we run our lives it was just easier to make sure we got it down early and stuck to it. Those first three months were rough, but what first time parent doesn't have a rough first few months, right?" He was quite proud of how they had handled it up to this point...almost a year now and they had a good handle on this child rearing things. Or at least he thought as much." Giving a then at her information. "Wow. Hard enough as it is for us, can't imagine adding another this age and surviving. But how's work been anyway since you've been back." Mmm grown up talk, was nice when someone could answer you once in a while.

He let his sister do the gesturing and calling attention and he just watched other people out for a late night stroll, turning his head at every new noise and every once in a while making a noise as if to ask what something was or why something was doing what it was doing. He did reach out and snag part of Mercury's leash when it came into his reach and he made another noise then tugged.
"Especially when you are lucky enough to be blessed with twins. I don't know how your mother handled Ilario and then the two of you at the same time." Shaking her head and nodding to another couple who were out jogging. "Not bad at all. I thought I was going to be really far behind since I had to take early maternity leave but they brought in another doctor for the ER so Dr. Robinson moved up to our floor since that's his specialty anyway and he handled my caseload. I barely have anything to do some nights when I go in. And our nursery is conspicuously empty right now..."

Ilario was a fair amount of years older than us. He could at least feed and dress himself as well was potty trained. That's all she really required before dad was allowed to try to talk her into kids again." Smiling every so lightly on that before looking to his son tugging on the dogs leash. Taking a moment to lengthen the leash he handed the looped end to his son, and held further up, just in case the dog startled. "Maybe people are just having a baby slump at the moment. Not necessarily a bad thing."
She managed to snag herself a flower from a bed in passing, the motion of the stroller going by pulling it from the ground bulb and all. Thrashing it around in her joy she held tight to it with both hands before popping her brother in the head with the soft petals, not caring for the dirt that was getting on her.

"Same rule applies, Casanova. No more babies till these kiddos are able to feed and pamper themselves." Watching her babies for a moment and shaking her head. "It's a record. First time since the hospital has been open that we haven't had any babies in the nursery. Chief wants to make a plaque." Rolling her eyes at that and then glancing at him. "What about you? Kids being unruly and getting bad grades or are you still the most drooled over and up for professor of the year?"
He felt dirt fall onto his head and reached up, touching the petals and making a noise at them. His other hand still held tightly to the leash and he made a noise to show his sister. Lookit! I'm walking doggy just like Daddy. He knocked his hand over his hair and then shook it, blinking as more dirt rained down. Lici's making a mess!

"Noted." Giving a chuckle to the rules but frankly he agreed with them wholeheartedly. "Well...with their best OBGYN out for a while there, and dealing with her own kids, who wants to get pregnant for the first year right?" He wasn't blaming her of course because slumps just did occur but there was a thread of truth to it, she was one of hte best doctors that place had. "Well...no professor of the year things, but they are enjoying the sound of my cellphone these days. They know that can mean and instant early dismissal. But other than that, they're good and entertained as ever. You know, with the exception of the job change for me...life now is kinda going like we planned, isn't it?"
She was just completely enamoured with her flower. It felt so neat and soft, almost like mommy's hair. Nope, not letting it go anytime soon, though she did giggle at her brother and the dirt getting on him as she took to her own little pile of dirt that invaded her side of the stroller. Tilt of the head to watch her brother walking the dog before she brushed the petals in his face again. This flower was just the most fascinating thing she had ever gotten hold of!

She chuckled but knew there was a thread of truth to it; she was just too modest to admit that herself. "I suppose. That's probably not all it is though." Turning down a side street, she gave him a grin. "I can certainly understand that. Between the pregnancy and any problems that might arise with the twins, your cell is my only hope. It's a lot easier to leave your job than it is to leave mine and since your boss understands, we'll be fine." Reaching over, she squeezed his waist then replaced her hand on the stroller. Too heavy to push one handed. "It is, which is pleasing to me because you know how much I like plans. When we were younger and falling asleep in our books every day, did you ever think we'd get here?"
He winced and shook his head when petals brushed against his eyes and he closed them by reflex but gave her a soft noise so she knew it was alright. He didn't care if she touched him with the flower but he didn't really want dirt all over himself. Handing up the leash, he gave Daddy a grin and turned his attention back to the road, reaching out and grabbing onto a plastic windmill stuck in one of the flower beds. Curious giggle.

"It very amusing to watch them all go quiet and expectant when my phone rings. Well at first, now they know what your ringtone is and now they just wait with baited breath for those two words they would love to hear from me; class dismissed. Though you know, lately I've a few students as me when I'm brining the twins in to show them off like the proud father I am. I tell them not until they stop being germ factories, or are willing to wash their hands to the bone."
Chuckling lightly and giving a sigh, lacing his arm across his wife's shoulders and pressing a kiss to her temple. "Hm, not much was on my mind then rather than hoping to have everything done for the next class days. Felt like that engagement went on forever, but it was worth it...and I'm glad we didn't expect to be near here...but now it's all a surprise. Two kids, couple of dogs, time to waste and all. Turning out pretty good." Attention to his son as the leash was handed back and he adjusted his grip.
She nuzzled her brother with a noise or two before holding her flower to her chest protectively with both hands. Tilt if her head though at what her brother had snatched in passing. Oooh his was shiny! Reaching over she touched it and it didn't feel like the flower, but it kinda did. Curious noise.

She chuckled and nodded, "That's right. I don't care if you bring them to work with you though that would take some serious patience on your part, but I won't have my babies being touched and infected by germ factories. Those colleges are infested, you know that as well as I. Especially if they have roommates like you did in college." Shaking her head and glancing down at the two raven heads to ensure they weren't getting into trouble. "The girls are after me to bring the bundles of joy in again, too. Just let me know when you plan on taking them and I'll make sure I'm free to come get them whenever." She knew that he couldn't have twins sitting in on his classes. Not when they needed so much still.
"I think it turned out quite nicely and still is, really. Finally, we have our babies and we've always known we were going to finally get married. I just had to get far enough into medical school before I was ready to settle down." She pointed down a side street and took another turn. "And we have the rest of our lives to enjoy it, too."
Reaching out to touch his sister's hand lightly, he made a noise back to her and then his eyes widened as the breeze began to blow and the sparkly flower started to spin. Lookit that! Turning the flowery thing so it was blowing in his sister's face, he gave a giggle.

"Yeah, even with our sturdier immune systems you still made me go get that round of 'college vaccinations'. Though I think you found it more funny that the dogs had to go to the vet to get theirs the same day and all three of us were slightly sore and miserable, brooding in bed looking for sympathy." Giving a light laugh and his wife a squeeze. "We'll make a little plan of the affair as well as bring lots of hand sanitizer with us. Besides...we should be showing off what our genes can do. They're fantastic." Lightly chuckling at himself as they continued along. "I'm glad we have that long engagement beforehand...we were both hard pressed to survive those last years in our respective fields. Now we get rewarded for our patience. See, Karma."
She scrunched her nose lightly at the slight breeze on soft delicate skin, and tried to hide behind her flower's bloom for a few brief seconds. That is until the pretty colors and movement got her attention as well and pulled a squeal out of her as well as a river of giggles and excited noises...like when daddy tripped over the things that wouldn't let them pass.
Okay, why were they do amused? Leaning over a little he gave a grin at them and then shook his head, turning a look over his shoulder to indeed see the various traces of baby damage in their wake in the flowerbeds and shrubbery on either side of the sidewalk. "Well...they're enjoying their time out here...new toys and all."

"It kept you from getting the flu and other unmentionable diseases, didn't it?" But she remembered the time fondly since they had all been very upset and looking for sympathy and she'd doled it out accordingly, too. A plan of the affair...little did Xe know that she was already doing just that in her mind. From the time the little ones got up they'd be ready to go and then- "New toys?" Pulling the visor on the stroller back, she glanced down and then shook her head. "There will be some lawn crews out tomorrow, I can guarantee it." Not that anyone in their neighborhood couldn't stand to lose a bloom and a windmill, but in a well-to-do area like they were in, things always had to be perfect. "We should head back, it's almost time for their dinner."
Giggling in return, he watched the pretty colors and made an inquisitive noise at his father to see just what was going on. Daddy's chuckle meant it was a good thing and he offered the windmill to his sister so she could play with it, too. She liked sparkly things that made noise best of all but this was close.

"I didn't think I'd get them in the first place, but it brought home peace of mind. I wouldn't want myself bringing home germs that were already incubating in my system and mutating into some vampire thing." A quirk of an eyebrow. "That'd make a good B-horror movie...or did we already see something with that plot and that's where I'm getting it from?" Shruging light and smiling at his wife with a nod. "Like a dog with a stick, oh to be so simply amused. And they didn't do much damage anyway...I think it's good for them. But you're right, they'll want food and it looks like a bath too, then bed. And then we can go be grown-ups for a few hours. That's always nice." 'Grown-up time' usually consited of plopping on the bed, and not moving from that spot you plopped in, eventually falling asleep hoping you at least kicked off your shoes before you did. It was cute in a way.
Flower was exchanged and handed over to her brother to play with as she took hold of the windmill, holding it away from herself and out as far as her little arms could reach so it kept moving. It was like it was trying to fly away but not at the same time. At least the sparkles made up for anything.

He took the flower and simply left it in his lap. He didn't like the dirt on it very much but he would hold it for his sister. His tummy grumbled then and he glanced up at his parents giving them the look they likely recognized by now.
Sam nodded and took the street that would lead them back home. "I think you're thinking of the one about the parasites and the werewolves. The vampires were the scourge of the woods but the parasites were bringing about a new plague in the other one. Combination of the two." Wheeling the stroller up their driveway, she keyed in the code to unlock the gate and then pushed the stroller through. "Let the dogs out in the backyard, Xe. They need to eat, too."
She unbuckled the twins and settled them in their highchairs, letting them keep their treasures while she prepared their dinner. "Purple or green, Casanova?" Plopping toddler sized plates on the bar and holding out her hand to the twins. "Okay, you two. Give the flower and windwill to Mommy and you can eat." Taking them and setting them aside then she washed both hands and faces with a wipe because you just never knew and you could never be too clean. Setting their bottles down, she picked up both toddler sized divided dishes and waited for Xearus to choose which lucky twin was his tonight.
He put up a fuss as his sister's flower was taken and then again as his face was washed. Daddy had made him do it earlier, too. But he was instantly soothed when his bottle appeared magically on his tray and he picked it up and began drinking, glancing over to ensure his sister had hers, too.

And there was the 'feed me' look. They had learned to flash that before going straight to crying for food like they used to. It was much appreciated. "Ah, well see there ya go." Chuckling lightly and falling back into conversation on the way home. Letting her take care of the kids a moment, he took care of the dogs, letting them off leashes and into the backyard to have their fun and what not before they ate too. A grin at his wife, "Aw you're making me choose? Then again I should share with you since I did both of them when they got up. I'll take purple tonight." Taking a moment to take a look at Thobias' eyes again while Sam got things together.
She relinquished the windmill with a little pout before srunching upher nose at being wiped down. Mommy liked to do it though so it was a good thing to have done. With a happy giggle she took the bottle in place of the windmill, taking to eagerly draining it and turning a look to her twin as well...reaching out a free hand to grap to his sleeve.

As if he knew his father was staring, he rubbed them and gave a rather cute yawn, showing off tips of fangs for a moment. He watched his mother as she picked up one of the trays with food on it and opened his mouth, anticipating, much like his sister, that he'd be fed shortly. His hand easily found his sister's and held it all throughout the meal.
"Uh-oh, someone's getting tired." She handed over the electric purple to feed Felicity with and then shook her head. "No sign yet but I have a gut feeling he's going to lose those baby greens. Such a pity since I know how much you like my eyes." Giving him a grin and then settling on her stool and taking to feeding their son. "Then again, I like yours, too." Lightly dabbing at her son's mouth with the spoon to remove the excess. "Ever noticed how one minute they like bananas and the next they don't? Picky little bundles of joy, aren't they? And you both need baths, too. Yes, I know, that just thrills you down to your baby toes. But that's life." No baby talk for her children. She couldn't stand people who did that booboo and cutesty-coo nonsense.

He blinked as he has seemingly been caught doing something that he really didn't like his wife knowing he was doing. After all, he had his own feelings on the matter and they weren't too positive but at least they traced back to himself. "I was just hoping that it would skip a generation...then again I suppose it already did. Ilario got skipped up." Indeed, the boys eyes were already a tad different from his sister's. Not that that was a bad thing, they weren't identical after all. But taking the little tray he took to feeding his daughter, much to her expectant delight....yeah she was going to eventually have him wrapped around her finger. "Well...they consistently hate peas at least. And I don't blame them. They're gross aren't they kiddos?" Smiling lightly as they were happy to hold hands as they ate. He remembered doing that with his own sister.
She was always a well behaved eater, knowing that meal time wasn't time to play around and besides, mommy and daddy never gave them anything too icky and if it was icky, then they didn't make them eat it again. A smile and noise at mommy as she was talking to them, kicking her feet somewhat in her chair and continuing with her food till it was all gone and she was allowed to finish her bottle. She reached for her brother again as their hands were disjoined when daddy picked her up, presumably for a burp and a bath to follow.
