Yey I am learning! xd

Actually, those facts are really interesting.

Did you know that people fluent in only Japanese must learn to pronounce the letter "r" before age five or so? Otherwise they can never learn how to make the sound... something to do with motor skills.

surprised I didn't know that!

I do know that English is one of the hardest languages to learn. The most commonly used verb, to be, is also completely irregular.

"To be" is irregular? Never knew that... Wow, I have to tell my mom and sister. They're English teachers. surprised

English is hard to learn? Even harder than Chinese? Man, people taking Chinese are crazy. All those kanji... There's like, two thousand or more. gonk

Oh, English teachers! They always get a kick out of this joke:

joke
What's the difference between a cat and a comma?
A cat has claws at the end of its' paws, and a comma has a clause at the end of a pause.

Anyway, I think it's completely irregular.

I AM
he/she/ IS
They/we ARE
you ARE

I suppose it's not completely irregular, but it changes quite a bit. AM IS ARE, and that's just present tense. There's WAS and WERE.

English is just one of the hardest. If Chinese is similar to Japanese in the way it works as far as the symbols go, it's not that hard. The pronunciation may seem strange to us English speaking folk, but it's pretty stright forward.

Really? I did not know that. O_O

Did you know, when you learn something new, you get a wrinkle in your brain?

Brain wrinkles good. Face wrinkles bad.
xd

Yay for random facts! I guess it must be the same for germans and the sound "w". I have lots of "foreign" friends, so I've had to learn to decipher alot of heavy accents... xd

Hehee, like that joke. <3

But you have to learn each character individually! There's no alphabet! And yeah, I think english is like the hardest one to learn. So many irregularities and illogical order of things. It makes much more sense to say "table red" than "red table".

Oh, that joke is really cool! I shall tell them. 3nodding

To be or not to be, that is the question! heart

Did you know that your eyes never grow bigger after you are born? That's why babies have such big, watery eyes.

And your index finger can measure stuffs pretty accurately. I use this method all the time. Curl your finger and use the middle knuckle to measure inches (the knuckle is about an inch). It's the same for everyone.

I knew that the head doesn't grow much bigger (us poor women.. xd ) but not the eyes...

And my knuckle is half an inch... confused If I squish it together, a bit further down is nearly an inch.

Oh oh! Your foot is as big as from the inside of your elbow to your wrist! xd

True. 3nodding I heard spelling in Japanese is really hard. Either you know the symbol, or you don't. It's not like in English where you can kinda guess how the word is spelled.

surprised the kunckle eh? Must be that golden square thing. Was it a square? Pretty much all of nature is based on this golden math something or other. It's like

1 1 2 3 5 8 .... I think. X_X Golden . . . golden

aurgah! It was in "Donald goes to Mathmagic land!" I can't remember. X_X I think it was related to the pathagorian theorum or something.

3nodding Chinese, you get parts of symbols that you can guess a bit, but not very well. I dunno about Japanese though, I gather that's harder/

Wha? O.o

I can't remember what it's called. gonk

The human body is based on it. Trees, shells, everything just about. Even classic architecture is based on this golden someting. I can't remember what it's called.

I always like to hear people talk about it. It's intresting to me.

It has something to do with squares.
